Cle de Peau eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner I really wanted to find these unremarkable. The eyeshadows all have some shine to them, and I do prefer matte, but they go on beautifully without too much shine for those of us past a certain age. I have a slightly peachy base shadow, then a beautiful violet (yum, violets!) and a gorgeous plummish darker shade for the crease.
Went on smooth as silk, have lasted all day, and I can’t find one single complaint with them. It was part of one of their palettes, and the lip gloss and lipstick in there are magnificent in color and lasting power.
I’ve lately become a liquid eyeliner freak, mostly because I’m tired of pencils that come off or are spotty by noon. Cle de Peau’s liquid eyeliner in black has a little bit of sparkle to it, has a great brush for application, went on great, and it’s now been on 8+ hours and looks as good as it did this morning.
Serge Lutens Rahat Loukhoum After getting a little decant probably a month or two ago, I kinda ignored this, putting it on once or twice, thinking it smelled like an almond-cherry-vanilla confection, which was quite nice, but really not me.
Now, having said that, I keep finding myself going back to it for a hit every now and then, first putting it under my shirt, sometimes in large quantities. After reading on MUA about spritzing it, that it was better that way, I transferred the roll-on decant into a spritzer and just Rahated myself with abandon.
Wow. It is so sweetly overpowering at first, too sweet almost, like Bois des Violettes is too sweet and like Tubereuse Criminelle is gas fumish. But as with many of the Serge Lutens scents, it changes and becomes something else in the drydown. The too-much cherry-almond that is so strong in the beginning just fades into a whisper, and then you’re just left with something that smells delicious and not too sweet at all.
This is going to have to be my third bell jar. Well, as soon as I get my firts, but at least I now have three picked out that I need.

Rahat seems like one that will go up and down in use. The colder it gets, the warmer it makes me feel, but I suspect in summer it is almost unbearable to wear.
Patty, I used to fear overapplying, but I recently have discovered the joy of liberal spraying. It started with TDC Divine Bergamote, which needs a liberal spraying. Of course, I still dab some of my strong favourites, but my lighter ones are applied wit abandon.
My relationship with Rahat Loukoum parallels yours. However, there are days when it is just too musky on me. I have a bottle, but it is rather underused these days.
Break loose and try it one day! I always have to do it when I’m making the final decision on when to buy a bottle of something.

I never do that, not with any scent. I am a chronic under-applier/sprayer/whatever you call it.
