Hey, look what’s coming!!
In case many of you are wondering why I’ve been a little vapid and short over the summer in my postings and comments, the reason is over to the left – in addition to a full-time job, decanting in my off hours and writing and working on the new site — I’ve been busier than a one-legged man at a butt-kicking contest and have had to short-shrift lots of things, including this blog.
But the great labor of love is almost near its completion. The Perfumed Court should be open for a pre-Grand Opening sale, we hope, in the next week or less. We have one bug left to fix before we can open, and we are waiting on programmers to do that, so it could be any day!! As cherished readers of The Posse, you will always get the news and best discount codes right here — the link over on the left to The Frip will link to the new site as soon as it opens and will list any Posse discount codes. For those of you who don’t know what The Perfumed Court is, it is a joint decanting/sample website venture between me (The Frip), Diane (formerly Dragonfly00 on eBay), Lisa (formerly Lisalaw or Fleur de Lisa on eBay) and Nancy (fishbone96 on eBay). We will have the absolute best and widest selection of perfume samples and decants anywhere, and we are always expanding it. With all four of us working together instead of competitively, we are all working to expand our selection every week. Even with what I thought I knew about the depth of our inventory, I’m still floored when I nose around the site and see how much odd, obscure, vintage, hard to find things that we all have.
You’ll be able to find things by Perfume House, by note, by New Release, not Available in the U.S., vintage, parfum, Best Sellers. We hope to also have partial bottles and some full bottles available. There will be monthly and sometimes weekly specials. For the pre-grand opening and grand opening, we will have some great discount codes just so you can come in and try it out. As you can tell, we are so excited about this.
How it works will be a little different behind the scenes, since there are four individuals doing this, but for you, you won’t have to worry about that at all. You’ll just see the samples/decants listed, the sizes, and you can fill up your shopping cart, and away you go.
We won’t be able to take PayPal at this time because there are four separate vendors and the programming isn’t there to sort that out. Our apologies for that, we will continue to try and find a way to do that in the future. When you place an order, depending on how many of the four of us you wound up buying from. you could get up to four packages to fullfill your order.
One thing that is new, we will no longer have a free sample with order. It became a very complex problem with up to four people shipping one order, and we decided to instead offer a Frequent Buyers Club. Once you reach certain levels of shopping in a month, you’ll get a discount code on a future order, which could amount to several free samples.

Whenever I’ve tried to think of how you four gals were going to organize the selling, as there are four of you, my head has started spinning like Linda Blair’s. So I’ve just stopped thinking. Don’t want the exorcism squad to knock down the door. It’s so thrilling you gals are doing this–however you’re doing it. (Don’t tell me.)
