My fav. now is caron's violette precieuse, but Stephen Jones doesn't smell like violets at all on my skin. ALL I smell are cloves and carnation. It continues to smell very spicy for a while, not so much like a spice rack but a good mulled wine spicy with a waft of light violet now and again. I like this perfume but it's not something I would run out and buy a bottle of. I just got a sample of this because I love violet perfumes. Love it! I too am a lover of violets and L’artisan Verte Violette is probably my favorite, right up there w/ FdB. (I consider that a violet as it seems many here do too).
