Cute Perfume Bottles

So frollicking around the internets, I found the new release info for Marni Perfume, and these are seriously –

Cute Perfume Bottles

If they do not have that little doll somewhere in the lineup as an item that can be purchased, I will be furious.  you can’t put something like that in a promotional picture without making it available for sale at some point. But who will bet with me that thing will never see the light of day beyond this picture, Hey, Estee Lauder, I promise to be nice for the next year to you if you can get me one of those dolls!

Which got me thinking, what other newer releases have had cute perfume bottles?  As much as I despise Marc Jacobs Dot (only slightly more than Marc Jacobs Lola), that bottle is so freaking adorable, I just want to squeeze it… until all the perfume comes out and I can put some other perfume in it.

Then I ran across some vintage bottles. That damn Avon!  Fine, eBay, here’s more of my money for the Avon Miss Lolllipop bottle that I can’t seem to live without now.  I’ve been nice and included the link so y’all can go get your own Miss Lollipop.

My favorite cute perfume bottle of all time has to be the Isabela Capeto perfume bottle.  There is no amount of de-cutifying that could make this thing anything a woman wouldn’t want.  I have it in white too, but I’ve never taken the crayons to it and decorated it up. I should!

What I’m supposed to be doing right now is finishing up my next bit note guide that goes up tomorrow, but I’ve been in a bit of bamboozlement because of a weird shift in how I perceive this note, and it’s upset my little Perfume Apple Cart, and I’m trying to put all the apples back in, but it’s so disorienting  I just keep delaying finishing this, even going so far as to get some knitting needles, yarn and a how-to knitting book.  Oh, I know how to knit! I just haven’t done it for 30 or more years. It was weird, though, once I re-learned the casting on and the knit stitch, doing it right, my hands felt it, all that muscle memory is scary stuff.  I am hoping this works the same way with sex.

Crap, I better get back to work!

Why are you all enabling me???

So what’s your favorite cute perfume bottles?

  • mary says:

The Nikki de Ste Phaille snake bottle and the astrological bottles are as cute as I go these days. Once had a treasured ,lamp shaoed bottle of Gardenia toilet water though. And my daughter collected a few of the gwen stefani’s– she lives them and they are perfect for a young teen. . .

  • Mals86 says:

I LOVE the Daisy bottle. And the Ulric de Varens pour Elle (UdV is apparently a drugstore cheapie brand available in Europe) bottle, shaped like a handbag, with this ultra-cheezy plastic bail handle, is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. I mean, the thing screams CHEEEEAP! It even has pink juice – that smells like a poor girl’s Iris Poudre. A really-poor girl’s IP.

  • Lynne Marie says:

I can’t really think of a perfume bottle that is “cute”. I know I love the smooth square glass of the Serge Lutens bottles and would kill to own a bell jar. I do have a vote for most hysterically funny bottle and that would be the Pierre Cardin Men’s cologne bottle. Nothing subliminal about that baby! I just get the giggles very time I see one, I mean, seriously??!!!

    • Patty White says:

Oh, yeah! the Cardin penis bottle! I need to revive my sex object perfume bottle post from a while back that I sorta bailed on because I got busy. There are a lot of those out there, they are wicked scary!

  • Katie says:

Those bottles make me want to pick them up and throw them respectively at the people who designed them.

  • hajusuuri says:

Any perfume < $50 is really free, so, I feel a free Marni purse spray coming my way as soon as it is available 🙂

    • Patty White says:

Yup, that’s my feeling and especially if it comes with a cute doll you can sit by your polka dot bottle. I don’t care what it smells like, I needs on. :0

  • Lindaloo says:

According to the announcements I’ve seen online, the Marni doll comes with the purchase of the purse spray — $50.

  • tammy says:

Ah, I can comment now, huzzah!

I am a total bottle ho. And while I lean more towards tacky, blingy, or charms dripping off the neck than cute myself (yea, I have all the Juicys), I thought the Gwen Stefani HariKiri or whatever thingees were cute. I have managed to resist all but the mermaid and the Xmas one, but I think they are cute and surprisingly well made for the price ( the bottles, not the juice)

I also like the John Galliano Voulez-vous coucher avec moi letter bottles. ( I know I am just slaughtering titles to day, my apologies)

I am a sucker for heart shapes, have several of the Vear Wang ones; Loverdose is my favorite heart, though.

Love the Lolita L and thought Si was also darling. Have them both and a few of the apple-y ones. (Wish I liked the Lolita line of perfumes better; I should and don’t know why I don’t. There’s a note that reads harsh and screechy to my nose in there somewhere. I get the same thing from the Agent Provocateur line.)

And I also think the smaller sizes are usually the cuter of any given perfume.

    • Patty White says:

Hey, Fellow Bottle HO! I loved the Feerie bottle that everyone else made fun of. The creepy cute Daisy bottle. Loved Gwen’s bottles. I almost clicked on one of those Vera Wang bottles because they are darn cute!

      • tammy says:

Totally forgot about my Feerie bottle. Only complaint is that I felt the juice itself ought to have been green. I didn’t even think the top was as cheap as everyone else did.

You do realize they have a few flankers?

The Vera bottles come complete with a ring, you need to get you at least one. And the Loverdose.

Also, the Happ & Stahns Rosa Alba. I have the hatpin holder one and the tear catcher, both darling.

        Will shut up now…..

  • Dana says:

I always thought that the Lolita Lempica bottles are pretty cute.

  • Patty White says:

    Why are comments not showing!!!

  • Patty says:

Testing comments – someone said they were broken?
