I’ve Got Nothing

empty-glassWell, I’ve got nothing except the flu. Nose blockage, fever, chills and a complete lack of decent stuff on TV. I do have a larder filled with canned soup (that I can’t taste) and frozen food. Sorry for the lack of a post for today, but I can only go on so far about the love for Vick’s Vapo-Rub and Matzo ball soup..

  • sorry to hear you’re sick 🙁 i fear i’m coming down with something too, and that will put a damper on my sampling. i just got my first lot of 18 samples recently and am barely patient enough to get through them. 🙂 speaking of vic’s… have you ever tried/smelled the baby-rub? we recently bought some for my 5 month old, and the scent is quite a bit more pleasant than original vapor rub, though surely not as effective without menthol/camphor … or whatever it is vic’s uses. the baby rub features rosemary, lavender, aloe and eucalyptus. 🙂

On behalf of the Matzo Ball Society , we politely request your immediate removal of all subversive, inflammatory or disparaging remarks regarding matzo ball soup. We, as a society and a ball of dough, feel it is inappropriate and defaming to be mentioned in the same work with other non dough ball soups which may or may not come in an aluminum casing.

We also are committed to our mission of assuaging those in need of a little mishpucka. nacham, or general hydration.

we understand you are in a compromised state and will do our best to understand you were not intentionally raging at matzo itself.

it is our suggestion you eat more of us. this will resolve everything. we will defer this argument to your nearest Bubbe, Yenta or Yiddish speaking person of your choice.

with wishes of great health and more matzo, The Matzo Ball Society

Bummer. There seems to be a lot of that going around right now. Hope I dodge the bullet, I’m overdue for a really terrible cold. The canned soup probably doesn’t taste like much anyway (I’m very good at sour grapes). Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry to hear about the flu. I hope you get well soon. I thought of you the other day because I saw a bunch of Miller Harris scents on discount offered online at beautyencounter.com. Weren’t you the one who was lamenting that it was getting really hard to find Miller Harris here in the USA? If I’m wrong, and this wasn’t you, then I claim migraine-related memory loss issues. 🙂 I’ve been beset by migraines lately. Take care, Tom.

    Sorry to hear that.

Ew. I’m sorry….:( Being sick is no fun at all. On a positive note I thought I would mention how awesome Surrender to Chance is! I ordered Kate Walsh Boyfriend, Rem Patchouli, and Tesse D’Orient Africa! It shipped Monday and got here YESTERDAY, all wrapped in a sparkly, little Halloween bag! Adorable, FAST service, I must say! I adore the Patchouli and have ordered it before but always wanted to try the Boyfriend. I like it a lot, but not “in love” …yet! It borders a little too close to that sweet “Barbie Doll Amber” that makes me queasy…the kind in Bath and Body Works, stuff, and grocery store body washes…Amber needs to growl! But anyway, I just thought I’d throw in a “good” story for you since you’re not feeling well. .

I am recovering from bronchitis, laryngitis and a touch of pneumonia. Being ill sucks!
    Do take care.
PS…It’s great not to sound like Marge Simpson anymore.
