O M G! What Fragrance Are You Wearing Right Now!

Hey Posse. O M G! I bloody well forgot to write a post because I’m crazy busy doing stuff.

So, here’s a question to keep you busy and I’ll be back next week with a REAL post.

O M G! What Fragrance Are You Wearing Right Now!

My Answer?

I’ve got Mitsouko by Guerlain on. Eau de Toilette and Parfum. The parfum was a lucky pick up in a Sydney shop selling out and the EdT was from one of the FaceBook fragrance groups.

O M G

Yes, I smell divine.

You want to try it? Most large department stores have a Guerlain stand but if you can’t find one of those nearby then Surrender To Chance has a great selection.

So what are you wearing today?

I’m wearing YSL cinema today. I bought it because my mother had been wearing it and I just love the way it smells on her!

  • Brandi says:

Hot and humid here in Houston, Tx. I am wearing Le Labo Ylang 49. It just floats around me in the heat.

    • Portia says:

      Hey Brandi,
Having a floating fragrant companion during the hottest months can be very soothing.
      Enjoy it.

  • fillifelle says:

It’s forever summer here in the tropics. I wore Embers by Teone Reinthal Natural Perfume to yoga class this morning. Now I’m in the mood for just some plain ole Ylang essential oil on my arm. It’s so hot here…..

  • Tatiana says:

So behind on my reading, but today I’m wearing L’Artisan Coeur de Vetiver Sacre.

  • HeidiC says:

It’s morning, so nothing on yet — yesterday, I pulled out an old bottle of Isabella Rossellini’s My Manifesto that I hadn’t worn in ages — it’s light and herbal. Today is so humid, but I’m thinking of defying it and wearing SL’s Fleurs d’Oranger.

    • Portia says:

      Hey HeidiC,
I never smelled Isabella Rossellini’s My Manifesto. How lavish that you have it.
SL’s Fleurs d’Oranger is a wonderful choice for the hot months. You will smell fabulous!

  • Ingeborg says:

No scent so far, the high grass and clover outside our cabin is full of insects. I’m not keen to attract them! I’m planning on the 100Bon fig scent for the evening.

    • Portia says:

You live in a cabin Ingeborg?
      Sounds so idyllic.
Yeah, wait till this insect suckers go to bed and then fully fume up.

      • Ingeborg says:

I’m at my family’s cabin just for part of my vacation. It’s idyllic, but I would not like to live here on a daily basis, I need the urban environment too.

  • MikasMinion says:

A few beautiful drops of vintage Fille d’Eve because I found my precious little sample. Bliss.

    • Portia says:

      Hey MikasMinion!
Fille d’Eve is wonderful. there is an old bottle around here somewhere, great choice.

Lys Mediterranee-our heat index was 104°

    • Portia says:

      PHWOAR! HOT! Kathy!
Serendipitously I just found a 10ml of Lys Mediterranee in my samples/decants boxes that was bought a few years ago on holiday.
      YUMMY!

I had nothing on all day (scent-free environment! ) then popped into a fragrance boutique and now have Geisha Verte on one wrist and Enjoy Voyage’s Fica on the other. Both great in warm weather ?
    I too love the post!

    • Portia says:

How great to go from one extreme to the other Rosemacaroon.
Glad you’re liking the post, I’m having a great time reading everyones scents, so many great reminders.

Serge Luten’s Nuit de Cellophane……so cool be sleek in summer heat.

    • Portia says:

      Hi there Jan,
You know i can’t remember ever trying this. Surely i did but there are zero bells ringing.
So little is written about it nowadays too I forget it’s even in the line.
      Thanks for the reminder.

I am wearing ISM today due to a dentist appointment. The oral surgeon is happy with how I am healing.

    • Portia says:

      Hi there Eldarwen22,
Iris Silver mist is a perfect cool dry iris to get you through the full chemical wash of the dentists.
      Glad you’re healing.

What a fun post; I love to read what others are wearing! And also then to research fragrances I’ve not heard of!
I’m wearing Creed Jasmine Imperitrice Eugenie. A gorgeous floral oriental with my faves bergamot, Jasmine, ambergris, sandalwood, vanilla.

    • Portia says:

      Hey Kathleen,
Eugenie is a beauty. Great choice.
Are you swanning around being haughty and imperial?

  • Kate E. says:

You smell so wonderful! Mitsouko was my first Guerlain (I purchased it way back when I was a teenager). I’m testing SL Santal Majuscule for some crazy reason on this hot day. I think I’m missing cooler weather.

    • Portia says:

      Hiya KateE,
What a grown up scent for a teen, bet you smelled better than everyone else in your age bracket together, worldwide.
OMG! SL Santal Majuscule in summer. You crazy. Does it work?

  • Shivawoman says:

I’m wearing Sonoma Scent Studio’s Forest Walk (it’s a hot summer day, but I find this perfect!). I love the earthy violet jasmine cool greenness!

    • Portia says:

      Hey Shiva-woman,
I remember this ne being like sitting in the shade of a tree. Am I remembering correctly?

Le Galion Tubéreuse. A wearable but not boring tuberose.

    • Portia says:

Le Galion makes excellent scents Sunday,
You must be floating around on a soft sea of tuberose, berries and amber. SO GOOD!

Cielo by Napa Valley Perfumes. Had a craving for fig.

    • Portia says:

I don’t know the Nappa Valley Perfumes, are the a natural/Indie/artisan crew?

Pivoine Angel, EDP from the Garden of Stars. I love it and Lily Angel for summer but they’re getting harder to find.

  • crikey says:

Damn Rebel Witches, which just arrived today. Made by 4160 Tuesdays’ Sarah for Reek, it’s the darker smokier sister of Damn Rebel Bitches. And I love it already. This is one to wear and think about and celebrate for its stories as well as its scent.

  • MMKinPA says:

Seville a l’aube today. Humid and hot but this was calling my name.

    • Portia says:

I bet that juicy opening is refreshing you well MMKinpa. What a wonderful scent. I might pull mine out today too.

Guerlain Samsara edp for me today. It’s my second time wearing it (from a sample vial) and I’m really falling in love

    • Portia says:

      Oh Stephanie,
Samsara is beautiful. Even now after all the changes it’s still a lovely fragrance. The fragrant essence of chutzpah.
So many memories attached to this one perfume.
Wear it in the best of health,

4160 Tuesdays Babylon Sunset from my July Olfactif sample set, which is beyond lovely and which has my mouse hovering over the ‘buy’ button.

  • bevfred says:

An old bottle of the original Miss Dior. Because it’s somewhat old it’s morphed into a slightly richer scent but nevertheless is still exquisite.

  • Melissa Long says:

Unum Opus 1144. I need a gallon of this so I can smell it all the time on everything.
