Happy Labor Day Monday

Labor memorial holiday 2
Happy Monday, everyone, and if you’re in the U.S., happy Labor Day to you! Since it’s a holiday here and many folks are in and out, traveling, etc., I’m keeping everything short and sweet. So please do share: What are your plans for today, and what are you wearing? Which scents are your favorites for holidays and weekends?

What’s your choice to wear to a family cookout, to that picnic in the park, or to a friend’s pool party? Or around the firepit or fireplace, for those of you who might still be a bit chilly in the Southern Hemisphere?

This Labor Day will find me heading to a Jazzercise class, cleaning for a while, going to visit my mother-in-law and then picking up my son from his weekend at the beach with his uncle and cousins, so it’ll be a fairly low-key day for me.

I’m still playing with some recent favorites, such as Gucci Bloom and the new Miu Miu. Also over the weekend, I tried the new Aerin Lauders, so will report back on them soon.

Hope everyone has a a safe and happy Labor Day/Monday and a great week!

Well you made me smile. Bats are the coolest! They do not deserve any bad connotation/reputation. They are fascinating! 😉

I LABORED this Labor Day – we have a House Bat (roosting somewhere, dunno where; I feel a bit like Lily Munster) – anyway, on the rare occasions s/he emerges in the house we turn off the ceiling fans, so I don’t end up with an injured bat. The kitchen fan was still off when I got up this am – omg. SO filthy. So I ended up de-greasing and cleaning that, then, of course, the ceiling had to be washed, so I did that. Then I did all the fixtures. And the oven was filthy, so I cleaned that. Then I had to sweep and mop up, of course.

That bat has a LOT to answer for!

I wore Dawn Dish soap and Murphy’s Oil Soap. I then went out and harvested green beans so I have that faint ‘beany’ scent.

I’m hanging out on my couch, avoiding any labor. Wearing Philosykos today, since it works well in the humid heat we have here in LA.

Things will be quiet here today -some reading, cleaning, etc. Still recovering from ankle surgery, so keeping my foot up constitutes way too much of most days! Wearing JHAG Anyway because …well, just because. Happy Labor Day, everyone!

I’m doing some work on the computer right now, but I’m hoping to prep and paint my bathroom today. I stripped off the old wallpaper that’s been up since the house was built 33 years ago. It’s so decrepit, faded and out of style now. Ugh. When we bought our house 23 years ago, it had 11 different kinds of wallpaper! Little by little I’ve stripped it off and replaced it with painted surfaces or better wallpaper. It’s still a work in progress. Have a great day everyone!

Glad I’m not the only one. Coworker was teasing me last week when i told her there was still wallpaper in one of my bathrooms. Bought the house 24 years ago lol.

LADDM is a wonderful choice for Labor Day of for fall in general. Noontide Petals works too. Went to the fair today and will be working Monday. So it’s fairly low key today.

I have a feeling my Labor Day will be fairly unglamorous — laundry, grocery shopping, and last-minute school-prep for my kindergartner. Maybe I’ll throw on some Rochas Femme to bump up the glam a bit.
