Atelier des Ors Musc Immortel

Atelier des ors Musc ImmortelAtelier des Ors is a brand I really love – Lune Feline, Iris Fauve.  Interesting, nuanced and beautiful fragrances. So Atelier des Ors Musc Immortel has been out there  while – right now it’s on an exclusive at Harrod’s.   I think it’s about to be released wider soon.  Read a couple of reviews of it, and now I have some in my hot little hands!

Notes of grapefruit, clary sage, iris, patchouli, vetiver, cypriol, nagarmotha, ambrette, musk and immortelle.  Hey, musk, iris and immortelle, how could this miss?

And it doesn’t.  There’s this weirdly bright musk open – all sagey and grapefruity, and it sort makes you pause for a second, then the patchouli backbuilds. That’s not my favorite moment in this scent, not a patchouli love. But it’s necessary because then it gets all syrup musky, then out comes a little spice and iris.  This is the beginning of a huge love affair I have with this scent.  the other notes don’t completely go away, but they fade to the edges, just keeping it interesting and not too musky or irisy or pancake syrup.

It’s all warm and cuddly, and when in the world is it going to be available here?  I have a generous sample I can split up among four people to share, plus they also (they being Atelier des Ors, disclaimer that they did send me the sample because, duh, can’t get it) sent some other samples of their other scents. So I’ll do a drawing for four samples of the Atelier des Ors Musc Immortelle, and each one will get a sample of one of the other scents, and you may not get first pick, but drop a comment saying which one of the Atelier des Ors fragrances you’d most like to try, or if you have tried some, which one you haven’t tried or if you’ve tried them all, which one you loved/liked the most!

Sorry about the whiff last week.  I’ve got long-term arm problems, and it picks weird times to flare up – the beginning of winter is one of them.  And since captioning is my job, sometimes I have to really take a break from all other typing when it’s the worst just so I can still do my job, which I really love.  It’s eh today, but I really wanted to tell you about this perfume, and to keep an eye out for it, when it comes here. I’ll ask the lovely Josie at Osswald when she thinks it will be here!

Finally the new release from Atelier des Ors. I like the brand and my fav is Iris Fauve

  • Sapphire says:

I would really love to try Lune Feline or have another drop of Iris Fauve. Hope your arm does better. Thanks for the drawing!

  • maggiecat says:

I haven’t tried any of these, and I’d love to (especially since musk in general is one of my favorite notes). Hope your arm feels better – I have rheumatoid arthritis, and weather changes cause weird flares that make my own beloved work (teaching and writing) more difficult than it should be.

Thank you for the chance of a give away. I have not tried these scents and would love to. Hope you are feeling better soon. Enjoy the holiday

Popping in since I was beckoned! – I haven’t been told yet that Musc Immortel will be available for me to order anytime soon (and goodness do Harrods exclusive scents drive me insane). However, the line is launching a new tobacco in March that is UH-MAY-ZING.

Also, I find it so interesting that so many lovely readers are chiming in saying that Cuir Sacre is their favorite; it’s the least popular here at Osswald (people basically drink Rose Omeyyade and Lune Feline, though)!

Also Patty, speaking of Harrods exclusives, have you tried the Clinique Aromatics Elixir Premiere?

  • Nadja Sand says:

I’ve only tried Lune Feline so far, but I really love the balsamic cardamom vanilla of that one! Would love to try more from Atelier des Ors!

  • Janice says:

I have not yet tried any of them but I’ve been hearing wonderful things about Iris Fauve, and I’m thinking I might just need to order samples of all of them. I’m kind of afraid I’ll love them, though. As someone said above, decants are probably the way to go with these.

  • The Musc sounds really unique. I loved Iris Fauve and have Lune Feline but haven’t tried it yet. I would love to try the Rose Omeyyade, it sounds really amazing. Thanks for the giveaway, and I hope you ultimately find your arm issues improving. Such a pain that it interferes with what you like to do. Sometimes these things inexplicably improve over time, so here’s hoping for you.

  • Rosemary says:

Iris fauve and larmes du desert intrigue me, and the ors musc sounds lovely! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • AnnJune says:

Another vote for Cuir Sacre as favorite! I also don’t see a full bottle in my near future, although thankfully we have decants available on STC : ) Would love to try the Musc – thanks so much for the draw! Hope your arm is feeling better soon. I’m a medical transcriptionist and know how miserable hand and arm issues can be. Captioning sounds like a lot of fun – would love to correspond on how to go about getting into that if you had time at some point. Thanks again for the draw!

  • Koyel says:

Oh my goodness I want to try this!!!! I LOVE Cuir Sacré and want a bottle. Someday perhaps. I’ve loved everything of theirs that I’ve tried, and I want to try MORE. Hope your arm feels better soon!

  • Nemo says:

I love love LOVE Cuir Sacre. Also love Iris Fauve 🙂 and would love to try other perfumes from the brand. Thank you for the giveaway, and I hope your arm feels better soon!

I hate not being a hundred percent (or thereabouts) and it seems the more days that pass into months into years, weird things just crop up from time to time that make you go what the hell is this shit? I’ve never had this before! Ugh. I don’t like this getting older stuff one little bit lol. ?
So, hope you feel better before too long!
Thanks for the scent chance. I am not familiar with the Atelier des Ors line so would be pleased to experience anything that might come my way!

    • Patty says:

The arm thing has been going on for 40 years – sometimes not so bad, and then for the last like 8 months, has been amazing! So with winter starting, it just surprised me when it decided to act up. It’s better today, so I’m thinking I’ve internally made the winter adjustment and it will behave for a while!

Getting older is just crazy, though. I had no idea it was going to be this much of an, um, adventure! 🙂

  • Maria B. says:

Actually, they all sound intriguing. Iris fragrances can have a lot of depth, so Iris Fauve beckons, but I love the name Lune Feline.

  • Cheryl says:

    Aube Rubis hands down!
Give your arm a rest Patty.

  • Maya says:

Sending healing energy to your arm. Maybe if everyone did, it would help? 🙂
Atelier des Ors is a line that I have not tried yet but every one of them interests me in one way or another.

  • Vicki says:

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying this line yet. The names sound lovely and would enjoy trying any of them.

  • Tammy Fowler says:

Oh my goodness… how exciting…would love to try it… have only tried Lune Feline in the past… would love to try any. Thanks for taking the time to share.

  • Kandice says:

I have not tried any of these but would love the opportunity. After reading about the perfumes online, I think I’d most like to try Rose Omeyyade. Thanks for the draw and hope you feel better soon!

  • nicevulady says:

Lune Feline and Larmes du Desert are the only ones I know and they are both really beautiful. I would willingly try any other any other time.I hope you are feeling better real soon. Its a bummer when something effects your work and play time.
