I’ve been sooper-dooper busy these past few weeks which is why I keep doing all these polls. But I actually do read all the comments and respond to some of them. And I appreciate everyone sharing their deepest, darkest fragrance secrets. They’ve been giving me a much-needed boost during this crazy, crazy time.
Speaking of dark, has anyone noticed that the days are getting shorter and that the midday sky has a bit of a fall-like cast to it? Mind you, I’m asking this while I have the air conditioner cranking and popping Tylenol Sinus like M&Ms.
I’m looking forward to fall this year, more than I normally do, and there are some scents coming out that I’m very curious about. The new Prada, Estee Lauder’s Sensuous Nude, and a bunch more. So, my question to you, Posse faithful: What fall scents are you looking forward to wearing and what new scents are you looking forward to sampling?
Thanks for playing along. Have a wonderful weekend!

I belong to a Facebook perfume chatter group, and today I stumbled across this perfume porn. It made me sad. I spent all day trying to decide whether or not I wanted to share that, and I decided, what the hell. Sometimes, keeping it together is like a house of cards; the whole thing comes tumbling down if you touch the wrong one.
So, to distract myself, I decided on another poll: Share your virtual perfume porn to cheer me up. How many bottles do you have? Remember, honesty is always the best policy.
Have a great weekend.

A computer that size now fits in your hand!
I’ve had this question taking up space in my head all week: How has technology improved/intruded on our lives?
Was it simpler back in the day when we didn’t have all this gadgetry making us so available to each other, or do we revel in the fact that we’re so accessible? I’m not just talking about cell phones and text messaging; I’m talking e-commerce, social media, Facebook – all the stuff we can no longer function without.
Then the thought lead me to perfume, and my question is, how did we find out about new scents before the Internet? Yes, we saw magazine ads and television commercials, and then came scent strips, but this medium took it to another level entirely. We have blogs and groups and countless sites we go to for the latest news and opinions. Is it too much or is it just right?
My question to you is: Were you content with your scents before technology or after technology? How has technology affected your feelings about fragrance? Inquiring minds want to know.
Have a great weekend!

I was going though my diminished collection yesterday and noticed that I am almost to the point of draining a few of my bottles. I know I’ve previously regaled you with my “draining” exploits, but the act of finishing a bottle has taken on a whole new meaning since my psychotic aunt swiped the majority of my collection.
As it stands right now, I’ve got a precious few drops left of Hermessence Rose Ikebana, about a 1/4 of a bell jar full of Rahat Loukhoum, maybe 6 spritzes of Philosophy’s Unconditional Love, Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret and Antonia’s Flowers Sogni del Mare. These are all summer staples of mine that I am quickly sending to the graveyard of empty bottles. Will I replace them? I don’t know.
So, that leads me to my questions: Are there any fragrances in your collection that you are close to draining? Will you replace them? As usual, inquiring minds want to know. And, not to worry – I won’t attempt to hack your mobile!
Have a great weekend!
