Andy Tauer Orange Star – giveaway!

The absolutely lovely, generous, sweet, talented Andy Tauer, in conjunction with Franco at Luckyscent wants one of you to have a bottle of his newest perfume creation, Orange Star.  Just one of you, don’t hyperventilate yet.

Let’s go to the marketing materials:

A rich citrus fragrance with a clean orange flower in its heart. The natural essential oils of clementine and red mandarine render the fragrance all fresh and natural, and add to the unique vitality of the head notes. The citrus notes give room to lemongrass essential oil: With its unique hesperidic earthiness it bridges to the heart of the fragrance. There, a clean orange flower chord is central, with a hint of translucent violet flowers that support the vibrant and elegant heart notes.  The base of the fragrance mirrors the vibrancy and clean lightness of the heart. The body of the fragrance is centered on elegant ambergris, with a hint of soft woods. It plays with a fine vanilla line, a hint of patchouli and is enriched with a drop of a natural resin from cistus, known as Ambreine.

This is one of those days when I’m super-irritated that we can’t get images to upload (BTW, we are going to switch hosts since they can’t/won’t fix this for us) because the picture of the new bottle design is so gorgeous. Cobalt blue, angular, really fetching.  I’m loving the change.  Any Tauer fragrance is worth sniffing, but this sounds so great, especially heading into spring/summer.  I don’t have any to sniff yet (cries!!!), but you know as soon as I do, y’all will hear about it.

The official launch for Orange Star is at Luckyscent Scent Bar in Los Angeles on April 17 from 1-4 p.m.  If you are anywhere near this, just go.  Any event at the Scent Bar is worth going to, and I’m still waiting to meet Andy one day, so you’ll have my envy for that as well.

Samples and pre-orders for bottles will begin sometime before May 1, 2010 at Luckyscent.

Now, how do we pick a winner?  Normally we just do a random number generator and then count down comments to find that number.  I’ll do the same thing this time, but tell me about your favorite Tauer or if you’ve been so unlucky not to have tried one yet.  Seriously, I am so jealous that one of you is going to win a full bottle of this!

    Thanks!

  • bouginvillia says:

P.S. I would love to be entered in the draw! 🙂

  • bouginvillia says:

The only one I’ve smelled is Lonestar Memories. It makes me think of my dad, who likes to think he is a cowboy, and loves Lois L’amour books on tape. Lonestar Memories smells like a Lois L’amour book to me.

  • Eric says:

I haven’t tried any of his fragrances yet. Orange Star sounds amazing.

  • SuzanneofTexas says:

All of Andy Tauer scents are wonderful. My favorie is L’air Marocain.

  • Kimb says:

So much fun, I got to meet Andy Tauer at the Scent Bar in LA on Saturday. He is a very sweet guy. Got my sample of Orange Star and bought a sweet bottle of Molecule 1 while I was there. I was in love with myself for the rest of the day and night…:)

  • Michele M says:

I have tried samples of most of the fantastic Mr Tauers’ scents…un rose Chyrpee, le maroc, incense rose, lonestar memories. But I am on my second bottle of L’air du desert marocain. It is by far my favorite and never fails to bring compliments. This is a lovely warm winter scent, but I like it even better in summer! I will always have a bottle on hand.

  • Ultranova3 says:

    L’air du desert Marocain

  • Amy L says:

I’m one of the unlucky ones who hasn’t tried any fragranges by Tauer, but I’d like to try this one!

  • emma says:

Le Maroc! Or maybe L’air du desert… oh I don’t know they’re both so good. I’m dying to try Orange star!

  • Laura M says:

Vetiver Dance is my favorite so far. I’ve been dying to try Reverie au Jardin and Rose Chypree.

Andy’s generosity strikes again. Please enter me. I hope he has a fabulous launch today in LA!

  • Patricia says:

I’d like to be included in the draw. I haven’t tried any of A.T. perfumes, but from the notes and based on the sound of the name I think I’d like most The Lonestar Memories.

  • Rosiegreen says:

My favorite Tauer is Vetiver Dance. I would love to try Orange Star, orange is one of my favorite scents in the world. rosiegreen

  • Leilah says:

My favorie is L’air Marocain – I’ve never found another perfume that I liked as much. It seems like a lot of perfumes don’t blend well with me (and I’m allergic to loads of them), but this one just makes me smell fantastic. Second favorite would go to Lonestar, which I adore in the summer. 😉

  • BPerf says:

Ohhhh… I have only sampled L’air Du Desert Marocain and I loved it! Orange Star sounds lovely – please please please pick me! 🙂

  • Helle says:

Is it already too late to enter? I’ll hope for the best! Incense Rosé is my favorite, Extreme comes second. L’air is beautiful on my man.

First time posting here but I’ve been reading for a long while. Such a great site! Thank you to all the contributors!

  • Zazie says:

I love both Une Rose Chyprée and L’air du desert Marocain.
I hope to be lucky this time and get the beautiful new bottle!

  • T-Rex says:

If I have to pick only one, it’s L’air du Desert Marocain.

  • nozknoz says:

I own and love FBs of L’Air du Desert Marocain and Une Rose Chypree. L’Air is def one of my top five perfumes ever!

FYI, it took me forever to choose between Une Rose Chypree or Incense Rose. When I ordered the former, Lucky Scent kindly/generously/slyly sent me another sample of the latter. Sooner or later I will cave in on that one, too, so I am making burnt offerings to the perfume gods to win the Orange Star!

In any case, thanks to Perfume Posse and Lucky Scent for this opportunity!

  • ggs says:

Was just wearing Vetiver Dance the other day, so I’ll call that my fave, but really I need to revisit his other fragrances. Off to find my Tauer samples….
I’ve been following the Orange Star giveaways across the blogosphere– fun! Hope to sniff this soon 😉

    Gail

  • Thea says:

I unfortunately have not tried any of Tauer’s frags but I entered his advent calender almost every single day just for fun and his words and scent descriptions really captured me. Orange Star sounds like his most promising for me yet, I love ambergris and citrus. Wish I could teleport myself to Luckyscent in LA for the debut. OH WELL(*)

  • Nickyp says:

I’ve only tried one so far, Une Rose Chypree, but I love it.

  • jazzjens says:

Incense Extreme is my favorite not only of the Tauers.

  • gautami says:

I have not had a chance to try any of Andy’s creations yet and they sound so incredible. Thanks for entering me in the draw.

I haven’t tried them all but I adore L’Air du Desert Marocain.

  • ScentRed says:

I don’t really have a favorite, but would love to be in the draw.

L’air du desert Marocain is my favorite but I also like Une Rose Chypree.

  • Julie says:

L’air du desert Marocain, of course is my favorite, but every Tauer scent I’ve smelled is an adventure…I’m sure Ornage Star will be also!

  • Kenny Cologne says:

Love Reverie au Jardin. Sounds like Orange Star will be a star too.

  • london says:

Une Rose Chypree is my favourite but this one sounds like it will be even better. I would love to be entered in the draw. Thank you

  • Lisa D says:

My favorite Tauer has to be Le Maroc Pour Elle. I’d be willing to switch to Orange Star in a heartbeat, though, if I were lucky enough to win a bottle! Andy’s perfumes are just lovely.

  • Margot says:

Oh, I’d have to say Incense Rosé is my favorite, though I’ve been turning to Reverie au Jardin more often now that spring has arrived.
Orange Star sounds like something I would love, and I trust Andy to infuse it with his unique artistry and character.

  • Robin R. says:

Have I squeaked in? My vote – I mean, I love them ALL — is Orris, but I seem to wear Une Rose Chypree an awful lot! Andy can marry me anytime. Or, I’ll just cook and clean for him. 😡

  • zeezee says:

Tried posting before but due a connection FAIL here I am again saying yay to a second chance to win this! [Trying hard not to hyperventilate, here] My Tauer faves are L’Air du Désert (predictable, n’est-ce pas?) and Incense Rosé. Tied. Absolutely very curious how oranges & lemons will benefit from ANdy’s signature treatment!

  • dremybluz says:

NEVER HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO TRY ANY OF ANDY’S BUT THEY ALL SOUND FANTASTIC. IM WILD ABOUT ANYTHING ORANGE SO COUNT ME IN

  • Erica says:

I dearly love L’ADDM, but this new one sounds simply amazing!

  • Val says:

    Hard to choose a favorite.
I think it´s Reverie au Jardin – never smelled such a beautiful lavender like this.
Maybe Orange Star will be my new favorite – it sounds and looks so stunning!

  • janjan says:

For me it would have to be L’Air as well.

    Pick me! Pick me!

My favorite is Incense Rose. It was my go to frag all last winter and I never get tired of it. Alas, warmer weather calls for something lighter. How lucky that Orange Star is finally here! 🙂 Thanks for hosting the giveaway.

  • RM says:

Favourite would have to be L’air Du Desert Morocain and would love to be entered in the drawing for a bottle of Orange Star! Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

  • Maha says:

My favorite is L’Air du Desert, but I’m sure I’d have to reconsider after smelling more of the line–they all sound so great!

Fingers tightly crossed for a bottle of this! Thanks so much for hosting the drawing!

  • tally says:

Close call, but I have to go with L’Air! But who knows…. Orange Star may take first soon!!!

  • PhinClio says:

I think my favorite is still my first: L’AdDM. But they’re nearly all great. Lonestar Memories finishes a close second. Une Rose Chypree is wonderful. Incense Rosé and Incense Extreme are fantastic (the former a tad more interesting; the latter a tad more wearable). Le Maroc is terrific, too. I’m not a huge fan of Vetiver Dance, but that’s still an extraordinary batting average!

Please enter me in the draw….I can’t wait to try Orange Star!

  • Janell says:

I can’t decide on a favorite but please enter me in the drawing.

I guess I’m one of the unlucky ones :(. But, I’ve always really wanted to try L’Air du Desert Marocain. Orange Star sounds equally gorgeous, though. I’d welcome the chance to try it! :d

  • Griffland says:

Well, I love L’Air and Le Maroc, but…I have a feeling that this Orange Star might take first place.

  • Bev says:

Andy’s a genius. I have Le Maroc and want Incense Rose, L’Air and Reverie. Orange Star sounds mighty good. Please enter me in the draw.

  • Lavanya says:

ooh- lovely giveaway! I have been lucky enough to meet Andy and he is such a sweetheart!
My favorite is probably RdJ, though I have a sneaking suspicion that orange star and/or rose chypre might be my favorites once I sniff them..:)

  • Dante's Bra says:

L’Air is my favorite of the two I’ve tried. Very excited about the Tauers I’ve yet to sniff!

  • Incense Rose is my favorite. When I smell it, it transports me to another place.

    Philip

For me, it has to be l’Air du Desert Marocain. That was such a revelation for me when I first experienced it. How sweet of Mr. Tauer to share his new scent with us

    thanks so much:)

  • OperaFan says:

I’d love to be in on this draw! My favorites are Une Rose Chypree and Vetivir Dance, though Le Maroc and Incense Rose aren’t bad either!

  • Kathryn says:

Lonestar Memories layered with l’air du désert Marocain are my vicarious memories of the Viggo Mortensen horse in the desert movie mixed with the Black Stallion book. I can just see me by the campfire, nuzzline my saddle. Oh wait! There’s a clementine tree. Luck be a lady tonight.

  • Linda says:

Oh! My favorite is one he was working on a while ago and hasn’t released, “L’eau des Epices.” Delicious. But I absolutely adore L’air du Desert Marocain on my skin… and Lonestar Memories, but I’m not woman enough to stand up to it. There are some I haven’t tried yet, too.

I so want to win! Please enter me!

  • Susan says:

My favorite Andy Tauer, “Incense Rose”, helped me through a root canal. My very own aromatherapy fragrance for nasty dental procedures, once the “fragrance memory” is in your head, even the nitrous oxide can’t overcome its comfort!

(I absolutely love Lonestar Memories also – Just haven’t yet used it as part of my drug cocktail for dental work)

  • Allabouteve says:

Really tough decision,’cause this is one line I truly love…alll of it (ok,maybe I can do without the Vetiver one).Of course I worship L’air and Le Maroc, but my personal fave is Rêverie, that fizzy green floral wonder!
Oh..and rumor has it that this new stuff is very mandarines-ambrées-ish…if that’s true, I need a lifetime supply of Orange Star!!!
(btw, are we europeans in the draw? 😉 )

  • morpyk says:

Please kindly include me in the draw-my favorite of Andys creations is Une Rose Chypree-just love it and my husband wears Lonestar Memories, love the new design!!!! Good luck to everybody and of course thank you to Andy and Posse…

  • Claudia says:

L’air du Desert Marocain was my first Tauer, and when I got the sample, I dabbed it on my wrist every night before I went to bed, and fell asleep dreaming of the desert and the smell of the wind.
Please, oh please, Scent Gods, I want to try Orange Star. Who knows where that will take me?

  • NancyN says:

Love l’air du desert marocain. Next choice is Lonestar Memories.
I haven’t tried Une Rose Chypree yet but have a feeling I would adore that too.

  • Nancy says:

Vitiver Dance! Received that and have enjoyed every precious drop YET after Mary’s comment up above I want them all! Please enter me in the draw. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee :>

  • Occhineri says:

Of the ones I’ve tried, my favorite is Vetiver Dance. Please enter me in the drawing.

  • mariekel says:

I adore Andy Tauer. He is a lovely guy and makes wonderful juice. While I am a devotee on L’Air du Marocain, my absolute favourite is the sadly rare Orris. There is nothing else like it anywhere: an earthy, leather-wrapped deep purple velvet scent that evokes not only the flower itself but the soil in which it flourishes. sigh.

    Count me in the drawing!

  • Kalynna says:

Thanks so much for the lovely review and the drawing! My favorite Tauer (so far) is Incense Rose. Please enter me in the drawing :d

  • Bunny says:

Le Maroc pour Elle is my fave but I haven’t tried a bunch of them yet! Enter me, please! 🙂

  • maggiecat says:

I can’t wait to try this one, as my love affair with citrus scents and orange flower has reached new heights this challenging Spring! Please enter me in the drawing….oh, and Incense Rose as my favorite if I have to pick just one….

  • Neens says:

I love Lonestar Memories and would love, love, love a bottle of his newest creatio. Please enter me in the drawing

Please enter my name to the draw, I love Tauer and his L’Air du Desert Marocain. And now I’d love to try this new one.
    Thanks.

This sounds amazing, I would love to win a bottle! Please enter me in the draw.

My favourite Tauer scent is L’Air du Desert Marocain.

  • LindaB says:

OMG!!! This sounds LUSCIOUS! I can’t even begin to express my excitement…it sounds like everything I adore.

My fave Tauer is Vetiver Dance…I would appreciate being entered into the drawing. Thank you!!

  • k-scott says:

I really love all the Tauers, they’re so well done. But my absolute fave is L’Air du Desert Morocain- addictive spices, amber, and dry earth- closely followed by the spare austerity of Incense Extreme and the soft lusciousness of Incense Rose (sorry, I just read the Prix Eaux Faux posts at NST and it made me want to try my hand at some fake copywriting, lol). I am dying to try Orange Star, it sounds fantastic!

  • Aparatchick says:

My favorite is L’air du desert marocain. It was my gateway to perfume 3 years ago. Thank you for that, Andy!

  • Kirsten says:

I’ve been anxiously waiting on this one since Andy teased us with it during the Advent giveaways last year. My favourite is L’air du Desert Marocain, but I’ve also enjoy Incense Extreme.

Please enter me in the draw.

    Good luck everyone!

  • Tiara says:

I do love LoneStar Memories but this new one sounds as if it could nudge that aside!

A full bottle. . . enough to share! My fingers are crossed–where the heck is that rabbit’s foot?!

  • gwyneth says:

Andy T. is very talented perfumer and a nice man, by all reports. I’ve only had the opportunty to sniff samples of most of his creations, but I have a bitty decant of L’air du Desert Marocain which I adore.
I’d love the chance to win a bottle. Thanks.

  • AnnieA says:

A vote for L’air du Desert Marocain. Would love to find a non-marmalade orange perfume.

  • Geordan1244 says:

LDDM is in my top 10! Love it. Looking forward to trying Orange Star.

  • annie says:

:)>-:)>-OMG!!!!!…I was dithering between NK,and SMN Zagara, for a full bottle treat for summer….my favorite scents for summer….but,a full bottle of this beauty…be still my heart:o…I enjoy all AT,but, they must fit my mood of the moment…still hyperventilating at the thought of a full bottle…OH MY!!!YUM

  • marko says:

Would LOVE to try this – well, actually, I’d love to win this!!!! My favorite AT Perfume is Reverie au Jardin. Thank you Andy for the opportunity!!!!

  • Joris says:

Favourite is L’air du desert marocain. Most of Tauer’s scents are reather heavy, I’m interested to smell what his interpretation of orange flower is like.

  • Lynne1962 says:

Love, love L’Air du desert,,although maybe hard to wear to work. I wear this to bed,,and have great dreams. It’s dry and exotic! Love citrus anything, too, and would love to be in the drawing!!!

  • barbara says:

never tried Andy-would love to try this new bottle-and citrus…count me in the draw.Incesnce Rose is also something that tickles my fanc to sample…

  • Pink Apron says:

I’d love to be entered into the drawing!

  • Dana says:

This sounds wonderful and if I did win this would be my first sniff of a Tauer fragrance (holds head in shame). Must order some samples soon. I think there are several I would like, especially L’Air.

  • cbstarker says:

I’ll never forget the first time I tried Maroc pour elle, Tauer’s second fragrance. Yeah, l’Air du Desert Marocain is a beautiful fragrance, but MpE not only transport you to another land, but it makes you comfortable and happy to be there, to never want to leave, and makes faraway lands feel like home. MpE’s combination of jasmine and rose is so well-balanced and delicioius, it is my favorite Tauer fragrance and one of my top 10. But, I have all of the others too! (except the elusive Orris…). Please, pick me! pick me! I made room on my shelf for it already!

  • quimerula says:

    Hello!
My favourite Tauer is Une Rose Chyprèe. 😡

  • Dagney says:

Please enter me into the draw….Orange Star sounds so good. I’ve never smelled any of Andy’s perfumes. Thank you.

  • Julie Ellen says:

This is my third try at an Orange Star victory–hope to win. Love Andy and his scents, it is so hard to pick one…today I am wearing Reverie au Jardin, but I also love Incense Rose, Incense Extreme, Rose Chypree, and, of course, L’Air….can’t wait for the new one!!

  • JenM says:

My favorite Tauer is La maroc pour elle. LOVE IT! Oh and Rose chypree and Incense rose…it’s really too hard to pick one! 🙂

  • Marin says:

Oh, Andy Tauer, how I do love thee.

It’s a toss-up between the Incense Rose and Une Rose Chypree… but I think the Incense Rose suits my personality better.

  • Jared says:

Definitely my favorite is L’Air…but Incense Extreme comes in a close second…it baffles me that I have neither in my collection right now. This must be remedied!

  • Teger says:

My favorite from Andy’s line is Orris! I would love to win his Orange Star :d

  • gina thompson says:

maroc is my fave. would love to try the orange=)

  • Kacy says:

My fave is Incense Rose… Please enter me for the contest. Andy is always so generous to the perfume blogging crowd!

  • Marsi says:

Yum, that perfume sounds practically edible! Please enter me in the draw.

I don’t have a favorite AT fragrance … yet. I’ve only sampled L’air du Desert Marocain, and it wasn’t quite “me.”

  • RusticDove says:

Fantastic – another chance to win what’s sure to be another beautiful creation by Andy. My favorites are the two I’ve tried so far – Une Rose Chypre and L’air du Desert Marocain – I really can’t decide between them. Since I’ve been obsessed with Orange blossom lately, I SO hope to win this!

  • Heidi says:

I would say Une Rose Chypree. I was so startled by how dirty it wore on me, how pungent and deep. It was one of the first scents that proved to me that there WAS something worthwhile in niche fragrances, and that I didn’t have to be such a vintage freak.

  • Goose says:

Great giveaway! I’d like to be entered please.

My favorite of the Tauer’s would be L’Air du Désert Marocain. I had a brief affair with Reverie au Jardin but in the end decided that Gris Clair and Eau Illuminee worked better for my ‘outdoor lavender’ cravings. Either way, I admire his down to earthness and really look forward to Orange Star, being quite the citrus and orange flower fan…

  • maidenbliss says:

Thanx to AT–I think his sample set is the best of deals and they’re all excellent. I love LoneStar Memories, but then Une rose Chypree is also amazing-in a class by itself.
I know his newest won’t disappoint-count me in!
    :d

  • Shelley says:

Ah ha ha! You’re gonna have a list a mile long by the time this draw comes to a close.

Yup, <):) me. I want in. :d One thing I like about Andy's scents is, love 'em or have trouble with 'em, they're always interesting and get my respect. What's good changes from fan to fan...I keep on coming back to Reverie au Jardin, though Vetiver Dance plays around in my head, too. So does Orris, but that's just as a conceptual ideal...have heard all the hubbub, but have never once been able to introduce a molecule of it to a single nasal receptor.

  • maitreyi1978 says:

My favorite is Reverie au Jardin. Please enter me in the drawing.

  • Vasily says:

Few perfumes are bottleworthy for me … I own a bottle of L’Air and it qualifies as one of my Andy favorites, along with Incense Rose, Incense Extreme, Orris, L’eau D’Epices, and Une Rose Chypres. Looking forward to trying Orange Star (and to the resuscitation of L’Eau D’Epices) … please enter me in the drawing.

  • Christina H. says:

Hi! Please include me in the drawing for Orange Star! My absolute favorite A.Tauer scent is Une Rose Chypree.I sampled it for the first time a few weeks ago and my nose was glued to my wrist! It’s one of the few things that I’ve sampled recently and fell head over heels in love with.I’d be more than thrilled to have a chance to win the Orange Star!

  • CynthiaW says:

Pick me, Pick me! A favorite is so hard to pick, but I’d have to go with a toss up between L’air du Desert Marocain and Une Rose Chypree. Une Rose would be my favorite, hands down, if it wasn’t for the fact that there are some days that I just can’t pull it off and it goes strange on me.

  • Nancy C. says:

I’ve not gotten around to trying any of the Tauers yet but that’s on my list. Winning this new one would be a great start! C’mon random number generator. Mama needs a new bottle of perfume! 😡

  • HikerChick says:

Oh sweet roasted peanuts, could I be any later to this game?!?

So I have this AT dilemma. See, the problem is the husband; HE thinks that l’air smells best on him, and I think it rocks on me. Same thing for RaJ. I must ask if I really need to bring another rift-inducing AT into the house?

    Obviously, yes. Yes I do.

Please enter me too! I’ll play nice with the hubbie, I swear!

  • Alexander greene says:

I fight between lonestar memories (yesterday) and l’air du desert marocain every day…
Count me in for the competition !

  • sherobin says:

Unfortunately, I still haven’t tried any Tauer fragrances yet, but Lonestar Memories and Un Maroc pour Elle are the two I’ve had my eye on for ages.
I would be thrilled to be included in the draw!

  • mjr17 says:

Am I too late? I love Reverie Au Jardin! Enter me in the drawing, pretty please. THANKS!

  • sweetlife says:

    Vetiver Dance!

    Hat me please!

Hoping Aedes will get this at some point in the near future, too. I want to see that bottle in person.

  • Gilty says:

Absolutely L’Air. The gorgeous Une Rose Chypree is a close second…

  • nbh says:

I must admit that I have never owned a Tauer fragrance. If the man who created it is this generous, how could it be bad?

  • Daisy says:

ahhhhh, Andy Tauer….I don’t think the man is capable of making a “bad” fragrance! I think the only one I’ve never tried is Maroc Pour Elle, in spite of the fact that it continually gets so much love on the blogs….what’s the matter with me? I’d better get on that. My favorite Andy perfume is Une Rose Chypree—I’m almost thru bottle #2 and I’ve got 2 back up bottles in stash…Really, it should just be produced in a BIG bottle—we’ll just call it the “Daisy-size bottle”. Orange Star has me practically panting in anticipation so please enter me in the drawing!
Thank you Posse, thank you Luckyscent and Thank you Andy!! 🙂

  • niina says:

I’m the biggest fan of L’Air du Desert Marocain… but all the ones I have tried have been gorgeous, gorgeous. Please enter me in the draw!

  • kathleen says:

I would love to win this! My fave, Une Rose Chypree then L’air du Desert Marocain

  • Elizabeth says:

The only Tauer I have tried is Une Rose Chypree–it was love at first sniff! I love the description of Orange Star; “clean orange flower accord and translucent violet” really got to me. Please enter me in the draw. Thank you!

  • Fernando says:

My favorite Tauer? It’s a toss-up between Incense Extreme and L’Air du Desert, I think. My wife’s favorite is easy: Une Rose Chyprée, one of the few full bottles we have finished and replaced over the last year!

Here’s hoping I’m the lucky one!

  • waftbycarol says:

I’d love to win a bottle of Orange Star , and don’t those bottles look incredible !
My favorite is Le Maroc Pour Elle , and I have a full bottle in the original older bottle , before the flat ones he used until now .
Thank you Andy , and thank you Posse for hosting a give-away !!

  • Francesca says:

I’ve only sniffed L’air du désert Marocain and Une rose chyprée, and I love them both, perhaps with Une rose coming out slightly ahead. The notes (thumbs nose at A Certain Person) on the new one sound lovely-orange and violet? Yum.

  • Catherine says:

I would be thrilled to try an “orange blossom scent” + Andy Tauer. PLease sign me up!

I love his lavender fragrance–can’t remember the name. It’s just Andy’s lanvender.

  • Aubrey says:

Oooh! A great big ol’ giveaway of a WHOLE BOTTLE of a Tauer frag?? Count me in! Count me in!

I’ve only tried three so far, and of them, Incense Rose is my favorite. But I’m a huge citrus fan, so I am thinking that Orange Stay may be my HG Tauer…

  • karin says:

    L’air du desert marocain…

Wow. Lots of giveaways for this on the blogs. Go Andy! Thanks for hosting, Patty.

  • Ann N. says:

Wow!! What a lovely and generous gesture from Mr. Tauer, who, if I remember correctly, has donated scents before for giveaways. A true prince among men! My fave is the classic L’air du Desert Marocain, but I need to get on the stick and try several others. Please enter me in the draw, as I love, love, loves me some orange! Just one whiff of it takes me back to growing up in Florida, just yards away from the groves. Instant childhood in a bottle! Thanks …

  • Sue says:

Of the two Tauer scents I’ve tried, Vetiver Dance is my favorite, but I would love to try all of them. The Scent Bar opening sounds wonderful. Please enter me in the drawing.

Thank you, Posse and Andy, for the awesome contest!

  • Leah M says:

I can’t wait to try this one. My favourite Tauer fragrance is currently Incense Rose, but it changes, depending on my mood.

  • Joanne says:

L’air du Desert Marocain – it reminds me of the best holiday of my life.

  • Carolyn says:

I would love to be entered in the draw for a bottle of Orange Star. My fave Tauer perfume is a tie between UNE ROSE CHYPREE and MAROC POUR ELLE, depending upon my mood. But sounds from comments like I also need to look into LONESTAR MEMORIES.

  • Kristin says:

My favorite is L’Air du desert Marocain-I’d love to be included in the drawing!
    Thank you

  • Maura says:

Ohhh…so excited about this and the bottle sounds stunning!! L’dDM is my top Tauer scent :-))

  • Isa says:

I have only tried L’Air du desert Marocain, but I’d love to try the rest of the line. All of them get wonderful reviews!

Please, enter me in the draw! Andy’s been really generous 🙂

  • bloody frida says:

    L’AdDM!!!

    Please enter me!

  • Melissa says:

At the moment, my favorite is Maroc, but that is always subject to change! And I would love to be entered.

  • Lara says:

Le Maroc pour Elle consistently gets me the most compliments, but MY favorite is L’Air du Desert Marocain. Especially in the middle of summer…it is awesome in the heat.

  • rockinruby says:

Oh, my favorite is L’Air du Desert Marocain, but every one of his creations has been well worth sniffing. Besides, he’s about the nicest guy out there, and that counts for something, too!

  • sybil says:

My fave is Lonestar Memories…but every Tauer doesn’t smell like anything else…so they’re all sort of good like that!

  • Stephen says:

L’Air du Desert Marocaine, I had a sample of,I found it ok but wouldn’t be a go to scent. The one I really love is Maroc pour elle. This got me through a particular bad patch in my life, transporting and very rich, just what I needed at the time. Again only a sample, but it lasted for months! I have an inlaid Syrian box chest that still smells faintly of it when it is opened.

  • Courtney says:

I haven’t tried anything Tauer other than L’Air du Desert Marocain- but it is by far the perfume that has moved me the most and is my all-time favorite! Can’t wait to try Orange Star.

  • hvs says:

L’Air du Desert Marocain is one of my all time perfume faves…Tauer or otherwise! very curious about the new bottle…:-b

  • Roberto says:

i m in love with una rose chypree…i love roses a this one fron Andy is top…
hope to be luchy for the draw on orange star..
    ciao from Roberto

  • rosarita says:

L’air du Desert Marocain is my favorite; my husband and I both wear it. Thanks to all involved for the generous chance to win, which is always fun. :)>-

  • Fabrice says:

My favourite is L’air du Désert Marocain, followed by Une Rose Chyprée…

  • Julia says:

My no 1 fave is Orris and I’m really sad that it was a (very) limited edition. I haven’t tried Vetiver Dance yet but my favourite so far from the current lineup is L’Air du Desert Marocain.

  • Mark E says:

I’d love to be in the draw. An my fave Tauer scent is also L’Air du Desert Marocain – perfectly fine for a guy to wear as well.

  • saeko says:

hello! so i talk about my fav in his collection?its hard. i like them all. but my fav in fav is L’air du désert marocain..i spray it on the pillow everynight ;)i love the warmth and smile in it. but also..i cant leave Lonestar memories out …and Incense rosé is also attractive..hmmm. !

  • Ines says:

My favourite so far is the L’Air du desert marocain (with Reverie au Jardin a close second) – but I somehow think this might become a new favourite because I love orange flower.:)

  • jan v says:

What a wonderful surprise!! My favorite is Desert Marocain-love it love it love it. I am eager to sample Orange Star so please enter me in Andy’s uber generous drawing. Thank you and thank you Andy!

  • aotearoa says:

These were my first FB buys directly from the gracious Andy and complements of the efficient Swiss postal service!
I have L’air and Une Rose Chypre and love them both – I wore L’air to work today before reading this..
Would love a big old bottle of anything Tauer…

  • Helge says:

The god of random is with me on this 😀

My favorite has to be L’Air du Incencé Rose Chyprée, with of touch of that Vetiver Dance. I love all of his work, but have yet to buy a full bottle.

Seriously though, Une Rose Chyprée is beautiful.

  • Vladimir says:

I go together with Andy practically from the beginning of its work in creation of fragrances,I love L’air du Desert Marocain, and I have almost all its bottles, but I have no Orange Star, I would like to test once again the good luck:) 🙂

  • Lee says:

I’ll go with le Maroc pour Elle. And you mustn’t enter me, or that’ll look like nepotism.

Were you giving Orange Star your Orange Stare in your deliberate typo, in the hope a bottle would magically appear on your doorstep come morning? 😉

    • Musette says:

see, I’m thinking the same thing – so you should withdraw my entry.

      :(( but true.

But I still love Vetiver Dance (we need a dancing emoticon!)

      xo >-)

  • Eva says:

Hi Patty – for me it is definitely Une Rose Chypre.
Thank you Patty and thank you Andy!!!!! 🙂

  • Joe says:

    Hi Patty,

I’m pretty sure I’m going to the LA event — and it’ll be my first visit to ScentBar as well. Any PP readers who plan to be there, do chime in!

As for my Tauer fave: I do love L’Air du Desert… but it’s not as easy to wear for me as Le Maroc pour Elle, of which I just got a decant and which I just love to smell. Both are truly evocative scents, and I must say that I need to pull out my other Tauer samples to remind myself of them. I know Une Rose Chyprée is lovely.

Thanks to you and Andy for doing this amazing giveaway!

    • turquoisewater says:

Joe, you brought me out of longtime lurkdom! I live in your town and I’m going to Scent Bar on Saturday. Hope to see you there!

So… my favorite is L’Air du Desert Marocain, and Incense Rose is a verrrry close second – I might even have to purchase IR this weekend. Oooo, I wonder if they’ll have any in the new bottles yet.

      • Joe says:

Oh, nice to hear that, TW! I’ll be there with Eric, another perfume lover from our town!

  • Adrianna says:

I live in New Zealand, we are at the end of the food chain, you can’t even buy Andy Tauer perfume here!!! Maybe one day I will get a chance to smell some of his creations.@};-

    • aotearoa says:

Adrianna, Hi from NZ. Andy had a very generous sample pack which was well worth obtaining directly from his website. We are in our own perfume desert here…!

  • Justin says:

It is definitely a difficult task to pick a favorite but if I were to pick one right now, it would be Une Rose Chypree. 🙂

  • Tama says:

Hard to pick a favorite! I love at least three. But since l’Air was my first Tauer love, I will pick that one.

  • Clemens says:

    Sounds great! 😡

  • Amy K says:

This sounds so amazing! I think my current favorites are L’Air du Desert Marocain and Le Maroc pour Elle, but the notes in Orange Star have me positively salivating right now.

  • Kim says:

:d. Love une rose chypre. I may just have to head on over to LuckyScent This Saturday! Thanks for the reminder.

  • Chris G says:

I can’t decide which of the Tauer beauties is my favorite – it depends on my mood and the time of year. Even if I don’t wear it, I love to sniff deeply from the bottle! Lately I’ve been loving Vetiver Dance, but who knows…….

  • Crowflower says:

My favorites are L’Air and Maroc!

  • jorid says:

Une Rose Chypree is lovely. I think I want a FB soon.

  • Monica says:

My favorite is Vetiver Dance, with Incense Extreme a close second. I missed Orris.. but man would I have paid to try that one… =P

  • Brian says:

Love l’Air du Desert Marocain – but Lonestar Memories is a close second.

Darn it, I’ve entered like ninety of these Tauer giveaways in the past six months. Maybe I’ll win this one 😉

  • Winifreida says:

Lonestar Memories…a stunning fragrance, and so aptly named. Since I’ve started my amazing perfume journey L.M. has been one of only a couple that have given me an INSTANT profoundly powerful flash of imagery – the scene in the heartbreakingly beautiful “Brokeback Mountain” when the Gyllaengal character is chased down and beaten to death by the rednecks….yes I know the inspiration is the cowboy etc, and I am a country girl, but I know that I never smelled L.M. while sitting in my little town picture theatre being overcome by Brokeback M – so how can that be??
The other one is Daphne – one sniff and I WAS BACK in the painting stack room at Art school, actually seeing the thick years of oil paint crusted on the easels and dust left by myriads of art students down the years.
    Perfume is majik!
I’ll be a goner for this orange too I’ll bet – good luck with the launch Mr Tauer!

    • maidenbliss says:

Brokeback Mountain broke my heart. Good to hear it got to you, too. One of my all time cinema favs. I totally understand your ‘profoundly powerful flash of imagery.’ It is what perfume has the power to do.

  • DiainaWR says:

My favorite is L’air du Desert Marocain — please enter me!

  • Furriner says:

Le Maroc pour elle… and Andy is the nicest man on the planet!

    • Furriner says:

You can take me off the draw….. I won a bottle already from Now Smell This… Still can’t wait!

  • Klara says:

My favorite Tauer is Le Maroc pour Elle – I just love the jasmine in it!

  • Samantha Douglass says:

Am I the only one living under a rock in a backwater? Initiate me! Bath & Body Works represents the pinnacle of perfumery in this town. Help meeeeeee!

  • Flora says:

Oh, please enter me! I love every creation of Andy’s that I have tried, but my favorite is L’Air du Desert Marocain, the best incense fragrance I have ever smelled, and it just transports me to the desert like nothing else – not to mention that it’s just so sexy! I am sure that Orange Star is swoon-worthy, and I have been looking forward to it very much.

Have I ever mentioned how much I adore Andy Tauer? So generous with both his perfumes and his creative process, he is a real role model for niche perfumers everywhere.

    :d@};-^:)^

  • tmp00 says:

Lonestar Memories. Love that. And a bunch of others..

Wish you were going to be there!

  • vinery says:

Le maroc pour elle! But of course I enjoy them all!

  • celeste says:

I have sampled Lonestar and L’Air, and not had the funds to buy. Would be delighted to try the beautiful orange scent. Thanks to him and you for this contest.

  • Janet says:

Incense Rose. I can’t wait for this one!

  • Kelly says:

Oooh! Count me in! I loves me some Andy! 😀 My favorite is l’eau d’epices… but since it’s not marketed yet… I’ll pick Le Maroc pour elle. Hoping for a love affair with Orange Star! And the new bottles are TDF!

  • Schmidty says:

Oh lucky day! L’air du Desert Marocain, definitely. Please enter me in your generous giveaway. Thank you!

  • Daniele says:

I’m another Desert Marocain lover! I loved it from the very first sample-sniffage. It’s a ‘happy scent’ for me; I reach for it most when I’m feeling upbeat and confident. Please enter me in the draw; I’ll take any chance to win a Tauer!

  • pauline says:

L’air du Desert Marocain is not only my favorite Tauer perfume, but one of my favorite perfumes ever! Please enter me in the giveaway.

  • Natalie says:

Pant … heave … gasp … Oops, you said NO hyperventilating?

My favorite Tauer is Andy himself, with L’Air a close second.

  • anna says:

i never tried Tauer but the Orange Star sounds like a perfect summer scent 🙂 please consider me

  • Musette says:

    I dunno if I can enter – may I?

If so, I love Vetiver Dance.

    And I love Andy.

    And I love citrus.

    ummm..what else…:-?

    oh, yeah!

    Gimmmmeee!?

    xoxo >-)

  • Eric says:

Man, Tauer is so generous! I can’t think of ANYONE more generous than him with their products. Oprah, maybe. Incense Extreme is my favorite Tauer so far. 😀

  • Tara says:

My favorite Tauer is Lonestar Memories…I would love to try the new one…The new bottles are gorgeous…please enter me in the drawing.

    Thank you

  • Suzy Q says:

Of the three I’ve tried so far L’air du Desert Marocain is FBW. My sample is down to the final drops. I’ve been anticipating this new one for months.!

  • Justine says:

Maroc pour Elle is my favorite, though I do not own a full bottle I do have a nice sized decant. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying them all, but I would love to have a bottle of this one.

  • Jemi says:

I love L’air du Desert Marocain, but my very favorite is Lonestar Memories. I put it on and it conjures up the most romantic idealization of the west — it smells like saddle leather and sweet grasses in the hot sun.

Please enter me in the draw! I can’t wait to try this!

  • carter says:

    L’Air fer sure.

And Patty, please do not let the fact that I will be in heedeously excruciating pain this spring (if I live through the surgery, that is) and that a bottle of Orange Star could make my recuperation ever so much more tolerable, OR the fact that you so blithely and publicly mocked my ginormous 4-lb. foot just when I was learning to accept it and get on with my life, OR the YOGA PANTS debacle in ANY WAY influence your choice of winner.

Just put it all right out of your compassionate, brilliant and stunningly gorgeous head. Did I mention the fact that you are a goddess and that the medical bills alone will make me too poor to ever be able to buy anything for myself, much less a lovely bottle of Orange Star, for the foreseeable future? That is, of course, should I survive…8-x

    • Musette says:

      😉

      ooh, C –

      You’re goooood!

      xo >-)

      ps. 4-lb foot?

      • carter says:

Thank you, but as a Catholic, it comes perfectly naturally to me :d

As for the lead foot, further details may be found on FB in the comments under my current status update. Patty also goes out of her way to bring up YOGA PANTS for not the first, but the second time during said comments, despite my deep-seated aversion to them of which she is well aware. She should know how difficult it is to cram a 4-lb. foot through the leg opening of those b***ards.

    • Lee says:

You have the guilt-trip gift, C. I see you’ve deployed it magnificently.

    • Dante's Bra says:

Do you give seminars in that sh–? Masterful, truly!

  • Ruanne says:

Incense Rose is my favorite (so far.) I would love to be in the drawing for this!

  • mary says:

I have a few little samples of Andy Tauer’s work, and love them all. I will just go ahead and declare a 3-way tie– as I think picking a favorite may just possibly cause my head to explode. Lonestar memories, Maroc pour Elle, and L’air du Desert Marocain– each of these triggers a very deep sense memory. Maroc pur Elle– my grandmother’s room, I’m 8 yrs old, and a tiny bottle of pure Florida orange blossom perfume which she kept in a special place, but then gave to me to take home. Lonestar– a night by a campfire, with smells of woodsmoke and forest drifting over. Desert Marocain– for some reason it makes me think of the giant rocks near Cajon Pass, north of San Bernardino, and the smells of the high desert nearby. Please o please enter me for the draw– is it cheating to enter on every blog????

  • GalileosDaughter says:

I like pretty much all of them, but Incense Rosé is my favorite. Please enter me in the drawing and thanks to you and Andy!

  • Gretchen says:

I’ve tried very few Tauers as yet– time to order up some samples. But I’d love to sample Orange Star by winning a whole bottle. . .

  • Sara K says:

This sounds great! I’ve never tried one personally, but I’ve sniffed Vetiver Dance (on a random person in an elevator) and I really liked that one.

  • loverdoll says:

L’air du Desert Marocain here too. Love Andy’s scents!

  • Dusan says:

Um, it’s a tossup tween sexy L’air and sparkling Vetiver Dance, although I’d throw in a good measure of RJ, too. I love how Andy does citrus so I’m having high expectations from Orange Star.
    Now give me my bottle.

  • Cheryl says:

I enjoy all that I have tried because they smell authentic and deep to me. At first Lonestar Memories was my favourite — VERY UNIQUE. Nothing else like it in my universe. Now UNE ROSE CHYPREE is my darling. It’s clean yet deep and reflective. Please enter me also in this draw. Very exciting!
    Cheryl

  • dissed says:

Neeeeeed. I do not own a citrusy scent.

Current favorite? Tough choice. I really like Vetiver Dance, and I thought my favorite was Orris, but I just sampled Lonestar Memories. So, uh. Okay, probably still Vetiver Dance. But I NEED this.

    Lovely gesture, btw. Very generous.

  • jen says:

Tauer is amazing stuff. I have tried a few but my fave is L’air du Desert Marocain

  • Molly says:

Ooh, tough call on a favorite… but I’m going to go with Incense extrême. Orange Star sounds delectable, though! *crossing fingers for luck*

  • janh says:

Incense rose of course. Come on perfume gods!
