Andy’s Advent Calendar Giveaway!

Today is our day for Andy Tauer’s Advent Calendar Giveaway!

Just make a comment on today’s post, and I’ll be randomly picking a winner tomorrow (Sunday 12/18/11).  Once we have the winner, I’ll send all your details to Andy, and he will send you – (drum roll)

A full bottle of  your choice – any of the fragrances he sells on tauerperfumes.com or a bottle of Miriam, the Tableau de Parfums scent or the Cologne du Maghreb.

I’m completely bowled over every year by his generosity. One of the true people who hold the Christmas Spirit. Thank you, Andy!

So since it’s the weekend, if Santa could leave you any bottle of perfume under the tree, regardless of cost or rarity, what would you make him leave?

  • Thalia says:

    Oh, make mine Vega, please!

  • Dionne says:

Oooooh, anything? Definitely Iris Gris – I’m a huge iris fan-girl, and I’ve always wanted to smell it. As for something from the fabulous Andy…. it’s a toss-up between LADDM and Incense Rose.

  • Adrianna says:

Are entries closed for this one?? I so could do with a bottle of Incence Rose :-)

  • Ike K says:

Oh the fantasy. I’d love to be given a full extrait of Cuir de Russie. That’d be lovely.

  • (Ms.)Christian says:

Oh, I forgot a wish for under the tree. Well, I would love a bottle of the original OH! de London, but I would also like to be the age where I first experienced it-and I think that’s beyond Santa’s capabilities…

  • katya says:

I would love a bottle of vintage Mitsouko or FM Iris Poudre!!!
Thank you ,Andy and the girls!!!!

  • Oh–a large bottle of JOY!

  • Lisa D says:

Andy’s perfumes are marvelous, and his Advent Calendar is always enjoyable (not to mention generous).

I find it difficult to choose just one perfume, so I’d go for the Amouage Mini Perfume Set, which is equally out of my price range as any other of the full bottles.

Happy and fragrant holidays to everybody!

  • ggs says:

What a present it would be to find Fath Iris Gris under my tree ;)

Having had the privilege of sniffing the Osmathique re-creation, I’d love to be able to actually wear this unattainable vintage perfume.

Thanks so much for your generous offer Andy. How fun to be able to participate!

  • Joanna says:

OMG! OMG! OMG! PICK ME! :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

  • nicolibba says:

As it is the season for dreams, I would love to try Patou’s Vacances.
Thanks to Andy Tauer for his generosity and excellent perfumes – they are truly special. Happy Holidays to all!

  • Tracy Carns says:

I’ve been hankering for a bottle of Amouage Opus V but as Santa is Santa he could certainly track down a big ole bottle of vintage Cuir de Russie extrait…??

Andy’s work is great, L’Air du Desert is SOTD…

  • Wordbird says:

Andy is such a lovely human being, and so remarkably talented. He makes perfumes that are perfectly balanced between the avant garde and the wearable. And somehow, they always make me smile. I can’t think of an occasion or a time of year when L’Air du Desert Marocain isn’t a good choice. It’s a rare gift that he has.

But if Santa could leave a bottle of anything under my tree this year (and I’ve been awful good, Santa baby) it would be a bottle of Creed’s Angelique Encens. I think Andy would approve.

  • Sunny K says:

What a delight to have your wish fulfilled. I’d love to be given a Lutens’ Santal de mysore. Must be lovely.

  • Andre B says:

Dear Santa, please drop by and bring my cuir de russie extrait.

  • Isa says:

I’d love Santa to give me By Kilian Back to Black :) It’s been on my wishlist since I tried it last year.

    Thanks!

  • Elize T says:

Give me an extrait of Apres L’ondee and i’ll be one happy little elf.

  • RVB says:

Frederic Malle Portrait of a lady

  • hongkongmom says:

oh pleeeeez, i need to win a tauer sometime…

  • Barbara says:

    By Killian Back to Black!

  • Joe says:

Andy Tauer truly is a Christmas angel. Thanks for the draw opportunity.

If I could get a bottle of anything from Santa, it would probably be the largest available bottle of Chanel 19 extrait. Mmm. We can fantasize!

  • Natalie says:

I would love a Tauer perfume! Probably Lonestar Memories. Maybe L’Air or Une Rose Vermeille. Alternatley, one of those limited edition Shalimar bottles would be most welcome. :)

Thanks to you and Andy for this draw.

  • Ike K says:

An Orange Star for me, please.

  • Julia says:

Wow…everyone wants a bottle of Tauer perfume. I have L’air desert du moracain (no doubt spelled wrong here!)…I bought it a year ago and tried it off and on…seemed mega strong on me, then a few weeks ago, tried it again, and it is lovely and exotic…not overwhelming! Have I grown into it, has it grown on me?

Anyway, I would love to try another Tauer perfume!

  • princess glee says:

I’d like Santa to leave almost anything from Chanel, Keiko Mecherie, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, Miller Harris, Bond No. 9.

  • Will P says:

Maybe it’s my turn this time round?

  • Chris says:

Last year I got LDDM for Christmas. This year maybe a little memory of spring? I wish for Reverie au Jardin!

  • Micki says:

Hmm, choices, choices. Iris Pallida, please. xo

  • Michele M says:

I would always love another bottle of LDDM! But perhaps I would ask for something different…but of course from the Tauer line;)

  • Erica says:

What a neat giveaway! Andy’s Advent Calendar is a really neat tradition….

  • Claudia says:

I’d ask for a nice big bottle of Bond No. 9 Chinatown, studded in Swarovski crystals, of course. :-)

  • SOPHIA MAGILL says:

Ooooh a very genourous prize!! Fingers crossed as I have just run out of perfume :-(

  • FearsMice says:

If Santa left me a big bottle of vintage Diorissimo under the tree, I’d be generous and share!

  • Homura-chan says:

Why, one of Andy’s of course!

  • Emma Lowe says:

would love to win a bottle :)

  • mim says:

My so-not-happening wishlist (guess I was naughty this year!):
Gobin Daude Seve Exquise, all of them really
    Dior Bois D’Argent
    Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Woman
    Montale Indian Safron
Mark Buxton biehl – parfumkunstwerke scents 2 and 3

I have one bottle of l’air du desert marocain, which is the only reason it isn’t on this list :)

Feel like I should want to try Miriam seeing as how it’s my name too…but aldehydes do not love me. Neither do most florals. The pentachords look fascinating, and the rose scents, and and annnnd I should just cave and get the samples on my to-try wishlist already.

  • Lizzy says:

Donna Karan’s Black Cashmere pure parfum; the EDP was my first perfume love and my signature scent all through college. I loved the scent almost as much as the memories that went with it and was heartbroken when it was discontinued :((

Thanks to Andy for his generosity–what a fabulous giveaway!

  • midori says:

    A vintage Chanel–either 19 or 22.

  • V. Dentata says:

If I could have anything, I’d want a bottle of whatever Queen Jezebel wore…

  • Sherri M. says:

There are so many beautiful ones…what a hard decision! Probably Sinfonia di Note Petale di Rose, being that it’s next to impossible to find (Santa would have to use his Italian elves) but would also love a bottle of Miriam or Une Rose Chypree..:-)

  • Electra says:

Anything at all? Fath Iris Gris. Go big or go home ;).

  • gautami says:

I am hoping for Vetiver Dance and Apres l”ondre.
    Thanks for the generosity.
    Best wishes.

  • Datura5750 says:

Jasmin de corse by Coty, thanks Andy!

  • loverdoll78264 says:

My fantasy bottle would be the original Hermes Doblis. For reality, Orange Star by Tauer, of course.

  • Mo says:

I’m hoping Santa will leave me a bottle of Andy Tauer’s Le Maroc Pour Elle (or any of his other scents), or one of the exclusive Serge Lutens bell jars (like Un Lys or Bois et Musc). I’d also take one of the Le Labo exclusives (Gaiac 10) or pretty much any of the fragrances in the Frederic Malle line. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this generous draw!

  • Hans says:

A bottle of Portrait Of A Lady would be far from excellent.

  • Steve S says:

A 100ml bottle of Purediatance M….a nose can dream!

  • tammy says:

I am hoping Santa leaves a bottle of Jubilation or Miriam….but a bottle of pre-formulation Caron Poivre or Or et Noir would be dreamy as well.

Thanks to the Posse and of course Andy for his generosity. I hope every ounce of his kindness is returned to him tenfold.

he is always so generous and giving

  • Stacey says:

I would certainly love a bottle of Un Rose Chypree, Une Fleur de Cassie, or Mona di Orio Oud.

  • Ivona says:

I bet Santa’s got great taste in perfume, so I would let him surprise me!

That said, Zeta sounds wonderful :-)

  • GalileosDaughter says:

i’m not picky, anything Santa leaves me will be fine. Okay, maybe not a bottle of Secretions Magnifique. :)

  • jirish says:

I have two Tauers on my Santa list – Un Rose Chypree and Lonestar Memories, so I’d be happy with either of those!

  • Lilybug says:

I’d really like some vintage Parure or Vol de Nuit. L’air du desert marocain and Une Rose Chypree have been on my to buy list for a while now so I’d be very happy with one of them too!

  • Laura says:

A bottle of Tihota would be my Santa gift…. or Incense Rose which I am planning on purchasing myself after the holidays (if I don’t win, fingers crossed!)

    Thanks for the great competition!

Oh gosh that’s impossible to narrow down. I would take any vintage Guerlain or Chanel Parfum under the tree! Thanks for the giveaway :-)

  • Nancy says:

Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled by this Advent Event by Andy and you included! Please enter me and I would love to have L’Air Du Desert Marocain having read so much about it. Thank you.

  • peace_quotes says:

  • xenia-mikhailov says:

It’s so difficult to choose between L’Air Du Desert Marocain and Rose Incense…
I would love to win any of them :)

  • Mszilvi says:

I would love a bottle of 1270 by Frapin!:)

  • Cecelia Allen says:

I would love a bottle of White Fire by Grossmith I used it in my teens and still, decades on, have the empty bottle. This gorgeous perfume brings back so many memories.

  • Marge Clark says:

I would easily limit my choices to Andy’s…but even then… Lonestar Memories for himself…because I love how he smells when he wears it…( and a spritz on his beard lasts for days!)…..or to be selfish…for myself.. I think Le Maroc pour Elle… but Une rose Vermeille is a close second…either would delight me in winter…ah but come spring and summer wouldn’t I rather have Zeta? and then there’s all the samples just received and not yet worn… ah well…I don’t have to decide until you pick me. (You ARE going to pick me, aren’t you?

  • Alexp says:

    A bottle of Miriam ????

  • The impossible scent would be a sealed 18th century flacon of JM Farina Eau de Cologne. Theoretically possible: a vintage Guerlain like L’Heure bleue, Après L’Ondée or perhaps some vintage Tabac Blonde or Cuir de Russie. I guess I’m loooking for the ghost of Christmas past…

  • Lavanya says:

    love Andy’s giveaways!

hmm- If price were not an object- I’d love the extrait flacon of DSH Pandora or Puredistance M…atleast that is what I want right now..:)

  • Julie says:

Hmmm. I just got my bottle of Chene, which was my biggest lemming. And I really haven’t tried anything that expensive to avoid wanting things out of my price range and really haven’t gotten in to vintage. How bout a bottle of Lubin Idole or Back to Black? Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Monika says:

Top of Santa’s list is the almost-impossible to find Mona di Orio Carnation, as well as vintage Mitsouko perfume and EDP, as well as Andy’s Une Rose Chyprée (which Santa has delivered to me more than once!).

    Thank you so much Andy!!

  • Pamela Cook says:

I’m Sunday’s winner! Me, me, me – pleeeeese!

  • ali thorpe says:

  • Betty says:

I would love a bottle of Amouage Honor Man. Please enter me into the draw. Thank you Andy!

  • Blimunda says:

Great topic – i would definitely ask Santa to leave me a 100ml bottle of Tubereuse 40 from Le Labo. I also would ask for a small Iris Poudre. And I wouldn’t turn down a Tolu from Ormonde Jayne. Yup. Those three!

  • Kathy B. says:

    I would love a bottle of Carillon…

  • Harper says:

The Christmas Eve scent of a tiny Spanish village, on a windy hilltop above the sea in 1974. Resin, smoke, salt, brandy, candles, and my happy child’s skin. I wouldn’t mind having a bottle of vintage Tabac Blond, too.

  • Susan says:

My Santa perfume requests would be… right now the top of my list is Tauer Une Rose Vermeille, but things seem to switch every few weeks. Also really wanting Cuir de Lancome at the moment.

  • Lindaloo says:

Well, since it’s Santa, a bottle of vintage Diorella would be my desired sniff. If no vintage is too difficult for the elves then perhaps it’s time for the Amouage sampler set.
If courtesy of this generous draw it’s Andy who is going to be the Santa then I’d love his beautiful Miriam.
Thanks to Andy for the Advent draw and to Perfume Posse for hosting.

  • Nicolai-R says:

I would like to get Carnal Flower but I know that it is impossible. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Paul-Laurentiu says:

Djedi! It is so rare that I would use it only on my birthday if I were to have a bottle of it. I would leave it for the children of my children so that it would be even more rare and more valuable.

  • Aysel says:

If price was so objection, I would have to ask for a bottle of Shiseido White Rose, thank you for the giveaway!

  • Nel van Vaalen says:

lekkere fles bij deze verloting :d

  • Kim says:

Top of the list is that bottle of Eau D’Epices I have been wanting for so long… and some SSS “Jour Ensoleille” on the side, please! Thank you all for the chance to enter this draw!

I LUUUURVE Orange Star; next on the list would be Dark Amber and Ginger Lilly, from Jo Malone, and last of all – Lutens’ Vetiver Oriental…

  • Kevin says:

I wish Santa would bring me Andy Tauer’s Lonestar Memories for Christmas. Thanks for the draw.

  • Denise B says:

Thanks again to Andy, for hosting this wonderful holiday giveaway! L’Air du Desert Marocain would probably be my first choice, but Orange Star beckons, too…

I would love a bottle of Guerlain’s Chypre Fatale under the tree this year. It doesn’t really read to me as being either chypre or fatale, but it does sing on my skin.

  • Helen T says:

    davidoff for women

Thank you, Andy and Perfume Posse, for your generosity!

  • Cheryl M says:

I used to use Parfum d’Hermes and Diorama. I’d have either of those – nothing smells like either of them any more, and since the EU has demanded the use of synthetic fragrances instead of some natural oils everything I try ends up either not lasting or smelling as though I’ve bathed in detergent!

  • Maria says:

Mitzah, I hate myself I didn’t buy it when I could have done it. Wow, so many people here.

  • RC says:

Creed’s Love in White and Andy’s Carillon Pour un Ange

  • Marte says:

Santa has been very good to me this year, but I would love to get a bottle of Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur or Le Labo Tubereuse 40 as well. And a bottle of Tauer L’Air du Desert Marocain would be much appreciated as well!

    Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  • Elisa says:

Perhaps a bottle of vintage Egoiste or L’Arte di Gucci since I’m too chicken/lazy to chase them on eBay! Failing that, Carnal Flower would be nice!

  • Matt M says:

What a difficult question! If I were really going to ask for the impossible, I’d want a nice big bottle of Coty’s Chypre. However, being a little more realistic, I think I’d have to ask for either Incense Oud by Kilian or Amouage’s Jubilation XXV. That said, I would also be thrilled with any of Andy’s fragrances! There are a few of his on my wish list!

    Thanks for the draw!

  • Natalie says:

Geez, Santa, just one? How am I ever going to pick between vintage No. 5 parfum, LAP Orchidée Blanche, vintage Joy, and Mr. Tauer’s own Une Rose Chyprée? Or how about you pay off the $3,000 tax bill I got yesterday so I can afford to buy my own perfumes? Sigh…

  • Svitlana says:

If Santa wanted to leave a bottle of perfume under the tree, I would like it to be a Vol de Nuit Guerlain in parfum concentration or Le Labo Vanille 44 .

  • Sharon says:

L`Air du Desert Marocain. Or Zeta.

  • Matt says:

Tauer’s fragrances are great. I really enjoy many of them. Thanks for the opportunity to add a bottle.

    Carnal Flower!

  • Dalex says:

Thanks for the giveaway. I would like a bottle of Dans tes Bras.

  • shellyw says:

Apres l’Ondee vintage would be my wish for under the tree. Very old fashion, but than Christmas brings out the nostalgia in us all. But, so many new releases happen each year, there are many more that would be welcome.

  • Janet in California says:

    Guerlain Tonka Imperiale

  • candyrabbit says:

Maybe one of those old Nina Ricci pure perfumes in Lalique bottles, like Fleur de Fleurs or Farouche, that would randomly appear in department stores and then randomly disappear. (And of course the salespeople knew nothing about it.) I should have just bought one, even if it meant PB&J sandwiches for the rest of my life.

I’m loving my new sample of Carillon pour un ange; it’s like being inside a florist on a cold winter day.

  • DawnLouise says:

Angel as it is sweet and delicate just like me :)

  • Ann says:

Thank you, thank you, Andy, for your incredible generosity. If Santa could leave anything in the world for me, I’d take a vat of Vacances (which I’d share with you, Anita, of course!), some Roja Dove Enslaved parfum, and one of his semi-bespoke scents (can’t remember which one, but it was a sample from the lovely London). Thanks!

  • audrey says:

Thank you for having the giveaway on your web site. I love Incense Rose …

  • Susan says:

    Andy Tauer is so generous!
I wear his Incense Rose frequently & receive lots of compliments.
As for an unexpected gift – Pentachord White – because I’m a sucker for any perfume containing violet notes.

  • rachel h says:

L`Air by Andy, without a doubt. Also, I would like …dare I say it… a flanker to come out… !! I love it so much, I’d like a variation of it of some kind as well. However I have no idea what direction I’d like it to go in. Thank you for the draw.

  • Elize T says:

A bottle of Lanvin’s Scandal! That santa is just divine then.

  • Eva S says:

I’d love a bottle of Miriam under the tree! If I could dream a bottle of vintage Mitsouko would be nice or a bottle of Mona di Orios Oud since I don’t think I’ll ever convince myself to spend that much on one perfume bottle!

  • Nina Z says:

I’d ask for vintage L’Heure Bleue extrait (and I see that I’m not alone in this). It’s just heavenly. Thanks for hosting this draw!

  • Dan says:

    a bottle of Andy’s Orris!

  • Thelma Winyard says:

Worth Je Reviens. I was a ‘Sixties girl!

  • OK says:

    Ormonde Janye Serapihm.

  • Cymbaline says:

MDCI Invasion Barbare is one I’ve had my ‘nose’ on for a long time : )

There are several Tauer fragrances still on my list also and it would be difficult to choose just one, but I’d love to have a chance to win this drawing! Thanks Andy.

  • Holly Green says:

I would love some of Tauer Orange Star now I’ve discovered it with this competition. I think I may have to order myself a sample at some point if I’m not successful in the competition, as it just sounds so lovely with its citrus and tonka bean :x

  • Jono says:

The thick heavy bottle of Old Spice that my Dad used to keep. It had a ship on it and I thought it was was like a magic Aladin’s Lamp behind his mirrored medicine cabinet. I wish my daughters could see it and smell it so that I could say, “This is what your Grandpa was like when I was a kid.” Then I could rub it, pull out the stopper and release the invisible aromatic genie into the room for just a few more minutes.

  • Solange says:

A bottle of Amouage Attar Tayyba

  • Isayah says:

I would faint if I found a bottle of Iris Silver Mist under the tree!

  • ockeghem says:

I’d be happy with L’Air or Une Rose Chypree. I’d also take a bottle of L’Artisan Dzing. Or a vintage bottle of Halston from the early 80s…since that’s what my mother always wore until she died early when I was a child.

At this moment, the bottle I would want Santa to bring is Guerlain’s Cuir Beluga, which smells like leather deliciousness, and not leather fishiness(which is the image the name evokes in my head)!

  • Rapunzel says:

I would love to find a bottle of La Perla Eclix, which was discontinued years ago, but Miriam would be great too!

  • Cheryl says:

My sample of L`Air du Desert Marocain is almost gone, so what a Christmas it would be to have a ‘real’ bottle!

I share the feelings about Andy’s generosity this year. His Advent calendar was super special! Too bad poor me had no luck, uh-oh.

Well, if it is Santa, I might as well wish for the moon and ask for a bottle of vintage Guerlain Djedi. I have never smelled this, but I have heard such wonderful things about it. I have held back from obtaining even a tiny sample for fear I would love it and be heartbroken not to be able to buy more.

On a more realistic note, perhaps a full bottle of DSH Pandora. I only have a dram of this because it is not cheap, but it is gorgeous.

  • Paulius says:

If I won, I would choose Lonestar memories.. Have a nice weekenk everyone!

  • Lina says:

I came accross Andy’s Advent Calendar by accident. I work abroad but soon will be going for X-mas to my homeland, to my family and friends. I was dreaming of a unique gift for myself from myself and decided to look up that very special fragrance – L’air du désert Marocain – which I had once spotted and tried at a “Shop of Various Things” (Visokiu daiktu krautuvele) in Vilnius http://www.vdk.lt/Andy-Tauer/. I somehow ended up browsing Andy’s official site, blog and Advent Calendar. What a nice idea! Thanks for sharing and for inspiration! Dear Santa…

    :)
I think MKK would be the one present I’d ask. Or it could be another Serge… Like Daim Blond or Chergui. But still, MKK’s something I wouldn’t buy that easily, because it is challenging for some of my friends, etc. But hey, if it comes gift-wrapped, who cares? I’ll have to wear it anyways!

I would love to wear Fath’s Iris Gris simply because I have never smelled it and it seems to have “swoon worthy” reviews from the pickiest of fumeheads. I have to admit the just about any vintage 30-40’s era chypre would be amazing as well. A huge thank you to Andy for his generosity, kind spirit, and beautiful fragrance line-up. Une Rose chypre is my scent of the day.

Vintage Shalimar in parfum concentration, and I would split it with my mother. I know as much I obsessed in the past over vintage Poison esprit de parfum I should ask for that, or for vintage Chloe Narcisse parfum as I obsessed over that when I was in high school, but thanks to the fact that Shalimar is tied to my earliest childhood memory, and holds many lifelong memories for my mother, I would want that. Many, many thanks to both the Posse and to Mr. Tauer for their unbelivable generosity in holding this drawing! Merry Christmas, all!
