It seems like we all have similar opinions with Jennifer’s perfume. The price is not right for the scent. If you are going to buy something expensive, make sure that it smells nice and unique. Also, it should last long!

  • Beth says:

Loved the video Portia! I was hooked, seeing you review one of my favs, Amber Oud. I adore it, too bad it’s SO expensive. I have the travel pack of Sweet Redemption, but from what I see, they’re not doing that with the Amber Oud.

You crack me up, ass on leather is a great smell. I agree with someone above saying a sweaty cowboy is pretty damn sexy. Anyone remember Quigley Down Under? And the names of the perfumes are inspired, Jackaroo, Ugly Bastard! Perhaps if they can get sorted out, I can try a few.

    • Hey Beth,
They are sorting out the faults currently, When the site is back up again properly I will do a review and let you all know,
Yes the names are terrific and how naughty of Kilian Hennessy not to do a travel pack of Amber Oud.

  • Marie says:

Great video!! I enjoyed it so much. By the way, I love the bottle of the Jennifer Aniston, it’s so cute and lovely, won’t take too much space in my bag or in my cabinet. I can’t wait for your blog posts within this week, looking forward to it. 🙂

    • Portia says:

      Hey Marie!
I liked JA too, yes the bottle is super cute and now it’s in the discounters the price is spot on.
I am so happy you are enjoying my posts,
      See you soon,
      Portia xx

  • Tara says:

Oh, I loved this video! I will be on the bus in LA and I definitely want to get a whiff of Jackaroo. I like Lonestar Memories and Profumum Fumidus so I want to see how it compares. You are off the hook girl – ass on leather! Rotfl!

    • Portia says:

YAY!! Can’t wait to meet you Tara. I will have a little swag of Aussie Niche with me to smell. This bus trip is going to be totally BONKERS.

  • Tom says:

I’ve only tried 1 Bud Parfum- called Ugly Bastard. It’s gorgeous! I’d love to sample more..

  • Teri says:

How much fun are you two! I enjoyed your vid so much I had to watch it twice. 🙂 Thanks for the speed-sniffa on these three scents. I’m not a leather scent gal and the celeb scents are usually too generic for me, but that Killian is calling my name as I LOVE ambers.

    • Portia says:

      Righto Teri,
You’ll have to start saving for the by Killian but it will be SO WORTH IT.
      What a fragrance,
      Portia xx

  • Cat Schultz says:

Haha!! Y’all crack me up! I guess I’m a perfume snob. I’ve never owned a celebrity fragrance. They seem to come across cheap. Ass on leather. Lmfao! Nothing sexier than a sweaty cowboy on a horse! Meeeooow!! I’d love to try Jackaroo! On A different leather note, I put a little Tauer Lonestar Memories on my son (13) and he said “mmmmm smells like leather.” Proud mommy moment. Lol.

    • Portia says:

      Heya Cat Schultz,
OMG! You never owned a Celebuscent! You are a dreck virgin!! That’s amazing. I have a medium sized collection of some of the better ones, I think anyway.
Lonestar Memories is EXACTLY how a 13 year old boy should smell. I’m glad he got it.
      Portia xx

  • Tora says:

You guys just crack me up. I want to hang out and gab on all day about perfumes with you. More please!!!

    • Portia says:

Tora, are you coming to SCENTSATION in LA in May? That is exactly what will happen. A busload of mad frag lovers gabbing about fragrance ALL DAY!!
      Portia xx

  • Mary P. Brown says:

Like “ass on leather” – how can you not want to try that one after hearing that?! Ha!! Sign me up! :))) Love it, and love your video’s as well, they make my day – thank you!

  • Mals86 says:

    Another fun sniff-video!

I think you’re spot-on with the Jennifer Aniston – it’s pleasant, but definitely smells cheap. I don’t think there’s much natural jasmine in there. And yeah, Sand & Sable is good stuff. Unfortunately, the JA isn’t sold at drugstore prices (at least where I live); it’s more of a department-store price range. Ergo, I’d far rather have that Coty.

And I’m neither a big amber fan nor a big oud one, but I do like Amber Oud very much. It is so silky smooth. I don’t love it enough to shell out for it, not the way I adore Sweet Redemption and Rose Oud, but it’s really well-done.

    • Portia says:

Hey Mals86, Nice to see you!
Jenn did a nice job but you are right it is a bit expensive for what it is, the Coty is WAY better value and a definite compliment scorer.
I adore Sweet Redemption, one day I will have a bottle, when I win the lottery.

  • Elia says:

Amber Oud is a good fragrance. They have the right balance between the amber and the oud, rather than having the oud completely dominate like other fragrances. Very expensive though.
    Jackeroo sounds interesting.
What a horrible web site though. The first time I tried I gave up with nothing seeming to work. He should fix it so it works.

    • Portia says:

You are right about Amber Oud on both counts Ella. I have written to Howard at Bud Parfums and passed on the complaints.
      Portia xx

  • Musette says:

My grab-bag was, literally, an 18-lb box of ‘stuff’ – some incredibly rare, some total mainstream. I grabbed the P-R box and pulled out Miss Rocaille. Was surprised to like it!

Where is Bud Perfumes? One of the most irritating websites EVAH! but I would love to try the frags! Especially Jackeroo.

    xoA

    • Portia says:

      Hey Musette,
Is that Fleur de Rocaille? I have recently discovered it and done a review but it was less that perfect on me.
As for Bud Parfums, Howard was in the middle of making that website and then all work stopped, yes, THE MOST ANNOYING WEBSITE EVER. He is in Australia and his fragrances are very in your face. I have a couple that I will bring to Scentsation for you to try. FULL ON.
      Just BTW I LOVE YOU
      Portia xx

  • Maureen says:

I had bought a mini of O de Lancome and received a sample of the Usher fragrance for woman and, expecting total dreck, was surprised that it was not bad. It has that same general smell that all the new celeb fragrances seem to have, but not sweet, kinda floral and nice. I actually got a compliment and had to laugh when asked what I was wearing (you see, I am a 55 year old grandmother, and the young girl who asked me what I was wearing looked horrified that I would even consider wearing Usher, but, hey, it was a free sample and I was just trying it after my walk at lunch). I think I tried Jennifer Aniston’s fragrance at Ulta, but it did not make much of an impression. I remember thinking it was nice but did not last long. Love the cowboy, never heard of this fragrance, but Jackeroo made me think of Hugh Jackman…now he makes me smile!

    • Portia says:

That is a SUPER GREAT STORY!! Ha Ha HA! How dare she look at you that way, but of course she would. I think I would have been horrified at a young age if Mum had been sporting Britney Spears or Pattu LaBelle. Hugh Jackman makes me smile too. Have you been watching The Kimchi Chronicles? Where Hugh and Deb and their downstairs neighbours take us through South Korea and its cuisine. Great series.
