Merry Christmas Eve and a peaceful week to all

Eve
The holiday is almost upon us, so wishing a merry Christmas Eve and a merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it! And for those who don’t, wishing you some peaceful, quiet days to relax and recharge after the chaos of the holidays.

At my house, we are thrilled to no end to have my DH at home with us. He retired this spring after 35 years at his company and working many, many holidays over the years. So it’ll be such a treat to have him home, and New Year’s Eve will be much more fun too.

If you do celebrate Christmas, what are you hoping for? My holiday gift list is always sans fragrance because if I wrote something down in that vein, my DH would look at me like I had three heads. So my requests are always scent-free. I did ask for a bright-red scarf to jazz up holiday outfits and a couple little gift cards.

Tonight we’ll toast some marshmallows, bake some cookies and open our stockings as we always do on Christmas Eve, celebrate together Christmas morning, and then visit my darling mother-in-law in the evening. College is looming this fall for my high-school senior, so we decided to scale back our gift giving somewhat.

Anyhoo, so thankful for you folks and our wonderful Posse writers, and wishing you all the best!!

Gina, all the things crossed for you. Ann, much joy to you and your family!

  • Ann says:

Oh, Gina, I will be praying and thinking good thoughts for you. I have been there, too, and it is very frightening, but keep the faith that all will work out. Try to use this time to rest and recharge, and hopefully something wonderful will open up for you in January.

Gina, I hope you get a great new job asap! And merry christmas to you Ann, enjoy your hubby!

I lost my job when my position was eliminated on Dec. 10. I am a single income with many bills and fur babies. My wish is for a happy, healthy new job soon after the new year before the money runs out. You can keep the gifts! Or lots of gas cards and grocery gift cards! 🙂 Blessings to all.
