Amouage Blossom Love is launching in 2017. Disclaimer, I received an early release sample from Amouage.
Notes are bergamot, heliotrope, amaretto, ylang, rose, cherry blossom, amber, tonka bean, vanilla and suede. Reading the note list got me a bit excited and a bit afraid. A gourmandish floral? Could be great! Could be sad.
Never fear, it’s beautiful. It’s not as complicated as Amouage Bracken Woman, but it is not intended to be that at all. This is from the Secret Garden Collection and joins Lilac Love.
It’s not a complex cherry blossom, and the boozy and other gourmand notes are not prominent – gourmand hates can breathe a sigh of relief. It is a joy to wear and perfect for the spring that is coming or already here. I sorta feel bad in almost 80-degree Denver while y’all are getting buried in snow and ice and cold elsewhere. Sorry, I’m sitting outdoors while I’m writing this, enjoying the sun on my face and a slightly cool breeze.
I think mostly that’s what Blossom Love is – a warm spring/summer day with a slight breeze. It is very feminine and lovely to wear. You won’t be crossing your eyes all day trying to figure out what weird thing it is doing. But perfumes don’t need to and shouldn’t always do that. You will walk and smell the trailing spring and feel nothing but love. In the long drydown, there is a relaxing into that vanilla and tonka – sorta like the end of that beautiful summer day. This is one that I will be wearing a lot this spring and summer.
Winners of the March sample grab bag – Annjune and Otamom. Just click on Drop Us a Note at the top, send me an e-mail, remind me of what you won and get me your mailing address. I’ll send you a quick e-mail to let you know I got your e-mail and it didn’t land in a spam filter and then get it on the way to you.
I’ll do sample giveaways on Amouage Blossom Love! Just comment to be entered. I’ll give away four samples to commenters drawn at random! So this semi-retirement thing rocks. I’ve found a bazillion things to do with me time and feel busier now than I did, but this is the fun busy where I’m doing things because I love them and want to do them, not because I’m trudging off to do them like I was going to the gallows!
I want to try it! Thanks!!
I tried askin amouage for a sample..no such luck:(. They said it would launch in USA early april..but no samples available:/. This sounds wonderful to me..would love a sample..lovely review!!:)
This sounds really pretty, and I like pretty for Spring…if it ever gets here! Please enter me for a sample.
Sounds really lovely, thank you for the draw.
Really happy to hear a positive review of the promise of that’s within the beautiful pink bottle. Can’t wait to try this!
This sounds perfect for spring! And I love the pink bottle.
I would love to try this. To date, I haven’t had much luck with Amouage. And a new Spring fragrance would be much appreciated right now! Thanks for the opportunity.
This sounds really pretty. Glad semi-retirement is going so well.
Thanks for the draw!!
I don’t normally think of spring when I hear “Amouage”! I am intrigued by the sounds of this one!
I have high hopes for this Amouage. Thanks for the giveaway!
This sounds lovely, thanks!
It is Spring here in Houston too! We are all strickened with severe allergies due to all of the tree pollen right now, but it is lovely!
I am so curious about this scent! I love Tonka but I am very particular about vanilla. And a cherry note? Hmm…really sounds like something my husband would enjoy smelling on me.
Partial retirement in Colorado sounds fantastic!
If I wear Love Blossom, will it hasten spring/summer? Let’s try!
I have been trying to imagine this from the notes. It sounds so pretty and easy to wear. Would love to sample!
This one sounds lovely 🙂 I still need to try Lilac Love. Also, I’m looking forward to leaving the DC area (parents’ house), which is covered in snow, to get back to the Bay Area, where it’s nice and warm and sunny.
I definitely want to try Love Blossom. thanks for the drawing! I like Lilac Love and this one sounds even more appealing to this floral lover. Can’t wait to try it!
I’d love to be able to try a sample of this one– the way you’ve described it is quite intriguing!
Oooh, this does sound lovely. Some of the Amouage line are simply too complex and serious for me – but Dia is wonderful, and I’m itching to try Lilac Love – and this new one if I’m lucky!
Enjoy your weather and your retirement – both sound delightful!
Aww this sounds really pretty – just what a girl needs for the spring time. I must admit i got a tiny whiff of Lilac Love and thought it was rather lovely – too expensive for me tho :0( Anyhow its getting warm here in the UK – 13oC at the minute (thank goodness i didn’t go to NY for St Paddy’s day – i believe it is snowing there!).
Ps… its my ?? birthday tomorrow and i would really quite like to get something new to spray round my elderly self! 🙂
Thanks for the draw and keep enjoying the semi-retirement.
I’m somewhat new to the Amouage line but have found that while I respect the original line-up, I can’t quite pull off wearing them. I do love Sunshine and Lilac though, so very interested to try Blossom. Thanks for the draw!
I love the way you describe the finish as “relaxing” into the notes, I could just feel the next season coming on! It’s nice to hear your retirement is going well 🙂
It sounds like something we could use up here in snowy MA to tide us over until this mess melts. Thanks for the draw!
Enjoy that mile high sun and fun busyness! You’ve earned it. Thanks for the draw!
Don’t think I’ve tried cherry blossom, but heliotrope, ylang and amaretto sound appealing. Enjoy the sun & retirement!
I really like their Opus line, but I agree sometimes it’s nice to have something just effortlessly lovely. I’m really starting to pray for spring so I can wear some of the scents I’ve lined up for warmer weather. -12 here!
Patty, I am so happy for you with this retirement thing you’ve got going on. That, plus some sunshine? Good for you! Blossom Love sounds beautiful. I’m eager to try it and Bracken Woman. I don’t love every Amouage, but the ones I do love, I REALLY love. Thanks for the draw!
I’m not usually a huge lover of big florals but the Amouage version, I can wear. I’m always curious about their new releases and this is no exception.
I don’t particularly care for big bold flower scents on me but something delicate and light is my groove. Personally I love a waft of blossoms in the air, when you’re not sure what you just smelled but you know it’s beautiful.
Jealous of your lovely weather! I just discovered that both my front and side doors are iced shut. Please do enter me 🙂
an uncomplicated Amouage- sounds great. Thanks for the draw
The Amouage I have sampled has all been in the “harder to wear” category. As a preschool teacher I don’t find too many days to wear those big, challenging perfumes. This one sounds great, I’d love to try it! Thanks for the giveaway.
Sounds lovely, even as I sit here in a sweater! Count me in, thanks for the giveaway!
I’m curious about every new Amouage just because they make top perfumes. Beside the cherry blossom note the amaretto one intrigues me a lot. Thanks for the chance to try it out.
Love the way you capture this fragrance. Sounds really special. R
You make it sound lovely. I’d love to sample it! The only Amouage I’ve sampled is Interlude Woman, and that one is gorgeous.
Hi! I’d like very much to try Blossom Love!
I always think cherry blossom perfumes sound appealing, and so far they have all set my teeth on edge, or disappeared almost immediately, or both. Fingers crossed that this one will be as lovely as it sounds.
Been looking forward to this Amouage, can’t wait to try it! Thanks! -Robert H.
your life sounds lovely …and so does this perfume..i would love to try it..
I share eldarwen’s feelings about stuff being released at more frequent intervals (difficult to keep up). Seems like they have split the main line to two separate parts:one that follows the traditional Amouage path and the other, easier to wear line. At least the Opuses are coming out a bit less often. Nevertheless, always keen to try their offerings. The most recent full-bottle worthy for me was Sunshine.
This sounds freaking dee-vine. If I don’t win I think I must order samples…
Also, brava on semi-retired busyness – (clearly) yer doin it right!
XO
Sounds beautiful, and I’m loving the cute pink bottle!
Sounds good, looking forward to giving it a sniff!
Glad you’re developing a liking for retirement! I haven’t tried any Amouage scents. This sounds lovely.
I’m getting buried here in northeastern Ohio with all the snow. It seems like Amouage is releasing too many things and too soon. Didn’t Amouage make us wait a while longer before announcing a perfume? But I still want to try this.
Sounds lovely, I’d like to try it!
It sounds lovely! We’re buried in snow here with 20 degree temps but at least we’ll finally get to go sledding! Congrats on your semi-retirement!
I have never tried a Amouge fragrance before but I would love a sample! Amouge Blossom would be a nice pick me up during this winter storm!
I love Amouage Lilac Love and Fate best. I’m excited about your review of Blossom Love, It’s sounds like more of my style of fragrance based on my loves. I enjoyed the sample of Bracken very much; a very unique and interesting fragrance, a joy to experience, just not what I want to smell like.
Here in SW Ohio we don’t have accumulating snow, just flurries, but being outside with the sun on my face sounds rather nice about now. The older I get the less complex I want my perfume. So many other things to think and worry about so uncomplicated plus pretty works for me. Sounds like you’ve transitioned into this new chapter of your life quite nicely!
Oh my goodness! This souns so amazing and finally an Amouage I might be able to wear!
Oh it sounds delicious! I looked for it last time I was in a store carrying Amouage but it had not yet launched then. No store in my city carries it so I hopefor luck in the draw:)
