So. Last night I went to Frozen. It’s running in Denver before it moves to Broadway, and it was just beautiful and spectacular. If it comes to a city near you, see it. Almost better than the show are the little girls. All these beautiful little girls dressed up in their pretty blue Elsa dresses, up way past their bedtime, yawning and falling asleep on their moms, dads and grandmas. Enchanting, all of it. And how they cleverly did Olaf and Sven? Yeah, you should see it.
Because I was up too late and somehow completely forgot that it was Wednesday today, we’ll do a grab bag, random sample your choice draw. BTW, did y’all know that it is about 100 or so days to Christmas? Hallmark Channel has released their Christmas movie lineup. AND September is almost over with.
So have you ever seen one of the Disney Broadway productions? Do you like them? I’ve done Beauty and the Beast, and I think that may be it. I see Aladdin is coming to Denver next April – my fave Disney movie! – so I’ll see that.
Drop a comment to be entered in a drawing. I’ll include a couple of random things, and you can pick a couple of things, and if I have them I’ll send them. If not, you’ll give me a couple more!
oh i would so love to see all the costumes the girls wear…i haven’t been to a musical ever!!
Sounds like such fun Patty. Just envisioning those little girls! No broadway Disney for this girl, however if Fantasia was produced I’d just go looney.
I have never been to a Broadway play =o\
I’ve seen the stage version of The Lion King twice. I’d go back and see it yet again for the costume design. Julie Taymor’s designs are just stunning. Love seeing Broadway shows when I visit NYC, but tickets are so expensive and difficult to come by.
Oy, this year is going really fast. Regarding Christmas, I finally feel confident enough in my perfume knowledge to maybe get fragrances for a few people this year? But I’m not sure, it’s such a personal thing. I suppose the caveat would be that if they don’t like it, they can always pass it on – to me! Mwa ha ha.
I have never seen a Disney stage production although I have always wanted to see the
Lion King. I’m sure Frozen must have been spectacular. I love musicals but don’t get a chance to go very often. Thanks for sharing your evening with us 🙂
Not a broadway prodctuion but will be seeing Disney on Ice with a bunch of little girls
My husband took our daughter to see the Lion King on Broadway which they said was spectacular! Not Disney but saw ‘Wicked’ on the stage which I thoroughly enjoyed!
Thanks for the random draw!
Nope, never seen a Broadway Disney production. Seeing the little ones sounds darned cute tho!
Does a glam rock version of Twelfth Night count as a musical? Not a Disney one, of course…
Not a fan of musicals at all and I really hate the idea of musicals of cartoons. Pretty keen on your site though!
I especially love the series on notes, like frankincense and myrrh or vetiver or vanilla. I love reading them even when I don’t care for the note. It’s great writing that gives a fascinating insight into what makes these work for others. I love these overviews.
Any chance of them being updated? I’d love to know how more recent releases fit in, thought of this when recent browsing in the archives left me really curious about how l’incendiaire fits into your all time incense scale.
I’ve never seen a Disney stage production. Frozen sounds beautiful! Thanks for the draw.
One of my nieces who lived faraway just moved to my city –with kids– yay! so I am finally learning about kiddie culture. I was frozen and thawed a few times before I knew what was going on.
The only one I’ve seen is Lion King, which I enjoyed because I just like the whole story anyway. I would LOVE to see Aladdin! I always loved the genie and embarrassingly enough that character is always the first thing that comes to mind when recalling that Robin Williams is no longer with us. I do love Frozen but have just burnt out on it so even though Olaf is another huge favorite character I would have to decline but reconsider in 20 years. Thanks for the draw!
The little girls all dressed up reminded me of going to the ballet for The Nutcracker. Those little sweet things with their adorable Christmas dresses steal my heart! Haven’t seen any of the Disney productions but now you have me wondering about Sven and Olaf…how DID they do that?!
I’ve never seen any of the Disney, except the movies, which I love. My granddaughter and I go together to see them. Not a theater production, but that’s okay. It’s being together that counts. I’m glad you had such a great time. Thanks for the grab bag.
I have never been a Disney productions.
I love musicals but so few to attend where I live up in the boondocks! My children loved the movie and I’m sure we would enjoy if the chance arose. They love to dress up, stand on the couch, and belt out the songs from the movie. 🙂
I have never been to a Disney production, but if Frozen came to my city I would take my nieces age 2 and 4. Well, maybe not the 2 year old…
“Let it Go” is one of those songs that sticks in your head forever.
I’ve taken grandchildren to Disney on Ice & Cirque du Soleil – will have to watch for Frozen. They sang the songs for weeks after seeing the movie.
Thank you for an entry.
I haven’t seen any Broadway productions, but I definitely plan to once that dream trip to U.S.A. finally happens 🙂
Thank you for the lovely giveaway!
I’ve seen little girls at the ballet, all dressed up for The Nutcraker–so cute! Musicals aren’t necessarily my thing, unless I get to play in the pit orchestra. Most fun so far: Beauty and the Beast. Also The Pajama Game.
How cute! I have two girls, I’m going to look to see if the show is coming our way, thanks 🙂
Thanks for entering me in the contest, you have to play to win!
Elsa dresses – that’s all little girls want nowadays. I have just ordered 2 Elsa dresses (different of course) for my two little nieces who both have birthdays in two weeks. It was fun picking them and now fingers crossed that the size I chose will be right.
I bet the little girls in the audience are adorable! I’ve never seen a Disney Broadway show, though I took my son to a Disney on Ice show once. Thanks for the draw!
I am not a fan of musicals. I like opera, theater and ballet. I saw LOTS of Shakespeare this summer.
