Sorry no post for the last two weeks. Two weeks ago was a trip to get perfume and move it here. I always forget how hard it is to set up systems again, reorganize, get decanting legs on and be all set. But we are pretty much there after ten days.
Beautiful thing – alllllll the perfumes. I smell like just perfume ‘ho, flat out. I spray on everything and anything, all the things I’ve been missing and all the things I haven’t smelled ever or don’t remember.
So I’m pretty set, but no post this week. I was going to post about the Angela Flanders Parchment thing, but between my captioning (already busy schedule and now sports at night – I am dyyyyinnnnnng) and decanting (yes, I have help, but I want to do it, too!), it is a long candle burning at both ends – 7a to 11p or midnight. Long. But just this week and next, and then I’m going to have a week or two with just sports captioning and minimal daytime stuff so I can finish out my summer swimming.
The rain here has been ridiculous! We have barely cracked 80 in two weeks or more. Gallons of rain, and almost no pool time. I got in for a little bit Friday before last, but that’s been it. Super sad now that we are on the waning side of summer, and soon the cooling nights will lead to less swimming time. Usually by mid to late September, we are not able to swim anymore.
But this weekend, it is going to be hot! I hope all of you are well, and I intend to be back next week yapping about that Parchment thing and the new Serge – and they seem to have some common points!
I’m excited for you to have the collection at hand. We just had the tropical storm roll on through, but now we’re back to hot and sunny. My excitement last week: got bit by a snake (non-venomous) in my backyard while cleaning up weeds and yard debris. I told you guys recently that I’m more of an indoors kinda person, but I was being “good” and trying to clean up the backyard. No good deed goes unpunished. So I’m taking it easy this week and staying inside! Don’t worry, I’m fine after a trip to the ER.
and that, dear Dina C, is why I always smack the weeds and stomp around for a hot minute prior to grabbing! My mom got bitten by a non-ven snake whilst weeding, back in the 60s. Glad you’re okay! xoxoxo
ps. whilst weeding, I also always throw up a little ‘thank you’ that I live in IL, where vensnakes are pretty rare. Nonvens are always welcome in my garden, though – when they are about, voles are not! xoxo
Thanks Anita! xoxo I knew you would sympathize. I won’t ever forget the image of a snake dangling off my forearm. I’m gonna use a long-handled rake first from now on.
Hey Patty,
Good to read they’re all in and you are ready to roll.
One day you’ll have me pumping those vials for you. Do they give Green Cards for manual spritzers?
Portia xx
I am SO happy for you! I miss you, though. I miss Camp Patty. ::sobs:: It’s been hot as Hades here and of course my AC has been on the fritz, three times in ~1 month, aargh. Kinda ready for fall lol.
it’s actually chilly here! I’m in a long-sleeved shirt and kinda wishing I had a light vest or a thin hoodie on…..of course this ain’t my first Summer Disco so I know we can soar back into the highs in a nanosecond. Glad you have the Perfumes back! xoxoxo
