No Perfume Post Today

Hey, sorry, have some distractions right now and had not even thought about getting a post up until March nicely emailed me this morning, going, um….. post?

My mom, two of my aunts, my uncle and my nephew, and a bunch of other family friends and in-law relatives have Covid.  My hometown had a superspreader event recently.

Everyone so far is doing fine, just very tired, some are getting the aches,  and all are at varying stages of feeling pretty puny.

My mom is feeling better, but still tired.  So they are getting on the other side of it, but you don’t really stop worrying until they are all past the  places where you know it can go the other way.

I am relieved and grateful so far because most of these people are anywhere from 70s to 90s.  But most are healthy otherwise, so I expect them all to get through it totally fine.

Again, though, it is the worry as they go through it.  I’ll be back next week, and we’ll be talking about that new Tom Ford Bitter Peach thing!  Will also post drawing winners next week as well.

xoxo

So very saddened to hear this, but I’m hopeful everyone will pull through. It’s difficult to see people you care about go through this, especially your mum.

  • Maya says:

Wishing the absolute best recovery for everyone! Patty, try to relax as much as possible and be positive. I had it in the beginning of March and was pretty miserable. I’m no spring chicken either, yet I’m still here. Sending love to all.

My husband is 55, had Covid in September and surprisingly didn’t get too sick, it was like a sinus infection with headache. We were especially worried as he has heart disease, weakened from a heart attack a few years ago, is diabetic, has mild asthma, and has other health issues. I suspect that the kids and I had it before him but our symptoms were quite minor. Wishing the best for you and your family members, that this illness passes quickly and mildly for you also.

I certainly hope and pray that your family members and folks in your town get better without becoming “long haulers” with lingering symptoms. Your worry and concern for them is understandable and normal. Please take extra care of yourself as well.
