I Got Nuttin’

Sorry kids, I have a bit of a miserable cold that’s causing my nose to drip like a leaky faucet and I occasionally whorf like a cat with a hairball. I also was lazy and didn’t post ahead. So there’s nothing for this week. It’s to be hoped I will have drowned it in Matzoh-ball soup in time to wrote a coherent post for next week. In the mean time, have a good one.

Oh, Tom — I hope you feel better soon! I recommend carbs. Lots of them. And some tom yum soup.

Hope you are better soon. Little as helpful as motza ball or chicken soup. Natural antibiotics.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Tom. TCM is mostly campy horror movies but there are a few pre-codes slipped in.

I hope you feel better very soon. Vitamin C usually helps me.
I forgot to tell you that I got my vintage Detchema. I like it, but it instantly reminded me of another perfume. Days later it came to me – Jean Patou Amour Amour. I have a partial cologne bottle from before the Ma Collection. Sniffing them side by side, Detchema (parfum) was green and strong while Amour Amour was was much lighter with no green. I looked up the notes of each perfume and don’t see how they could smell so similar, but there it is. I prefer Amour Amour.

I’ve never smelled Amour Amour but I constantly and keenly mourn the death of the house of Patou. If I had been near Bullocks Wilshire during the riots in LA I would have, with a sense of duty accomplished, stolen the ocean-liner shaped giant factice of Normandie..

Get well soon, Tom! Watch your favorite vintage movies and take warm showers with Rose Jam (if you can smell it). Until next week, take care!

Get well, Tom. I’m feeling about the same.
