Happy Monday all you lovely Posse folks, and if you’re in the U.S., happy Labor Day to you! Since it’s a holiday here and many folks are in and out, traveling, etc., I’ll be short and sweet today. What are your plans for today, and what fragrance are you wearing? Which scents are your favorites for holidays and long weekends?
What’s your choice to wear to your neighbor’s back-yard barbecue, to that picnic in the park, or to a friend’s pool party? Or around the firepit or fireplace, for those of you who might still be a bit chilly in the Southern Hemisphere? And of course, some of you folks will be hitting the back-to-school trail after Labor Day, so do share if you’re wearing something for that.
I had hoped to do some sniffing in the big city (dying to try the new Creed Aventus for Her that darling Musette loved), but alas, I’ve been fighting one of those stubborn, irritating summer colds so have been just taking it easy this weekend. I will be visiting my wonderful mother-in-law today, and will pick up my son from his long weekend to the beach, but that’s about it for my Labor Day.
Not much going on perfume-wise for me of late, but hope that will improve very soon.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Monday!
Wearing Bottega Veneta today. It’s one of my go to airplane scents. Flying home from a long weekend in Portland with the Dear Husband. Looking forward to being home and maybe catching a movie this evening w Dear Husband and Dear Daughter. Sniffed the three new Tom Ford green scents. On first impression I’m liking avert Boheme the most.
Tatiana, BV is great, isn’t it? Hope you enjoy your time with your family. And lucky you to have sniffed the new Tom Fords. Boheme does sound nice — I hope to try them all soon as well.
It’s my last hurrah for Un Jardin en Mediterranee (I save it for the hottest & most humid days) before I switch it up to early fall fragrance (haven’t yet decided what those will be).
Enjoy your Hermes, Carlene. That is a great heat-buster. Have fun picking your fall fragrances; I find that it’s just about my favorite time to go through my collection.
Beautiful day here in Perth. Don’t usually wear perfume to work but conducted my students’ ballet exam and wore Sideris. Cos if Momma ain’t happy…
New baby Toller puppy arriving by plane tonight, so excited to meet him! Hope he likes Sideris!
Good for you, Jackie — I had forgotten how wonderful Sideris is! And welcome to your new member of the family. What kind of dog is a Toller? Not sure that I’ve ever heard of that breed.
hey there Ann,
It’s day 5 of spring here today and the weather certainly got the memo. I am spending the day writing Trivia Q&A, doing the laundry and trying to get a little bit organised for the week.
Because it felt like a perfect fit I am swanning around the house in Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. Really couldn’t have chosen an easier sunshiny day scent.
Enjoy your Labor day.
Portia xx
Howdy, dear! Love your choice of Lovely; it does seem the perfect scent for swanning about and getting things done. Maybe i need a spritz of it to motivate me? 🙂
After an awkward family weekend where everyone was talking around THE BIG PROBLEM lest we spoil a lovely time, tomorrow we’re going on a picnic with our friends/chosen family. MUCH better! I think I’ll wear something bright and sunny to celebrate — either Dilettante or Guerlain’s Pamplelune.
Heidi, what great celebration scents — love them both! Hope you had a great time at the picnic and left the earlier unpleasantness far, far behind.
It’s cooled off quite a bit of late in Cleveland. Friday was spent at the county fair. Tomorrow, I get to finish the weekend with work. I’m hoping to spend time with Andy Tauer’s garden is. One day without interruption is w h at I want.
Andy Tauer’s gardenia is what I wanted but auto correct is being a butt .
Oh, a county fair sounds like so much fun — haven’t been to one in ages! Hope your workday went smoothly and you enjoyed that lovely Andy Tauer.
It’s unseasonably cool weather here in the SW US. I’m spritzing and re-spritzing La Chasse aux Papillons today, pretending it’s spring again.
At tomorrow’s Labor Day BBQ with the extended family I will waft along in Terracotta to underscore summer’s last hurrah.
Then, if the weather stays cool, there could be a gentle descent into autumn with Ambre Narguile.
Enjoy your family time, and take good care of yourself. 🙂
Lovely choices there, Tiffanie, and a nice way to ease into the seasonal transition. And lucky you to have cooler temps for a change — enjoy!
my favorite perfume smells ” ZARKO PARFUME “
Hi! Not familiar with that one, but it sounds interesting. Do tell us more about it …
