On the Third day of Violets, we tried out…
Berdoues Violettes de Toulouse. This goes on with that dry smell, like the Caron. So far, not my favorite violet. If it doesn’t shape up soon, it’s getting a thumbs down, which would be a shame because I think this is pretty inexpensive.
Better now in the drydown, but retains that dry smell. Not my favorite.
This is my bedtime violet. Nuthin’ fancy. Sorry it doesn’t smell better to you, cheap is part of the appeal! I dunno, thinking about ponying up for the E Duse… I’ve worn it 3 days in a row, bad sign.
It’s not bad at all, after the initial dry smell. It just disappeared on me after about an hour. I like cheap definitely, but dry violets just don’t do it as much as the lusher, greener ones.
E.Duse may definitely be one to go for. I’ll try and get that one in tomorrow.
BTW, Marcy and everyone at Luscious Cargo are fantabulous to work with, and she has the best boxes and samples when she ships. Nothing like buying from her.
