Howdy, lovely Posse folks! I was going to do some sniffing late today and report back, but trouble intervened in the form of locking my keys in my car; so some two hours later, I’m home, but I’m afraid I got nut n’ honey for you guys. But I will say, hurrah for AAA (or other emergency roadside services) that ride to the rescue and save the day!!
This is the second time I’ve done this in about six months, so when the AAA guy showed up with his slider thingy (like a big flat spatula) and its bellows attachment (to separate the rubber and the glass enough to get down there and pop the lock), I was ready to buy the contraption off him right then and there and strap it to my roof so I’d never be in this fix again!!
I know one thing’s for sure — my next car will have keyless entry or else!! 😉
So do share what you’ve been up to this weekend, how your summer is going so far, your craziest roadside predicament (with or without AAA), or even your favorite fragrances containing nut and/or honey notes.
Hope to have something a little less lame for you guys next week!! Thanks!!
When I was a teen and in college, I used to regularly lock my keys in the car — drove my dad crazy. Now we have keyless entry, and it’s MAGICAL. Hmmmm…only honey scent I can think of off the top of my head is Zoologist’s Hummingbird, which smells like nectar — too sweet for me, but it smells adorable on my son.
I LOVE my keyless entry. And if you try to lock your keys in the car it won’t let you, it just trills at you until you get your act together. The ONLY problem (which I have only done once, lol) is I started the car, went back in the house for something, forgot to bring the keys back with me. I got to my destination and turned the car off — and then couldn’t restart it because derp, I didn’t have the keys. I had to bum a ride home. I think the car should trill at me if I’m driving off without my keys… AAA is the bomb. I locked my keys in a rental car while it was running, and they showed up right away and broke in.
Hey Ann,
Two weeks ago we had our AAA equivalent out because I had a flat. Problem was I was coming home from work in full drag regalia. He was very nice about it.
Portia xx
HAHAHAHA I love this! Not the flat, the rest of it.
There’s just nothing like those annoying little time wasters, I’m glad AAA could come to the rescue! I lived in Houston thirty years ago and had some epic roadside experiences with a series of VW Beetles that I drove for years. There was the one that caught on fire, the one that had the heat stuck in the on position that could barely make it onto the freeway, my favorite one, gold with a sunroof, that lost a wheel on a rainy overpass when I was nine months pregnant. Makes me really appreciate my cell phone!
Ack! I did this yesterday too. My son came with the second key, which I’m now going to keep in my wallet. I carry the AA (it’s two As here) number in my wallet as well. Need to transfer it to my phone. We’re not quite at summer but the world smells of honeysuckle.
I envy you. Honeysuckle smells wonderful.
Moments ago I spritzed Prada Infusion d’Amande. Feeling nutty.
And I feel your pain! Years ago I had a Honda Accord that I was constantly locking my keys inside. I started carrying two sets of car keys all the time. Haven’t had that problem since (or before). And hurrah! for AAA, my rescuers from dead batteries and flat tires for over 20 years.
