Lost Track of Days! Yikes

I am so, so sorry. I could have sworn that today was Tuesday, and I just looked at the calendar and realized it’s Wednesday!

This getting old stuff completely sucks!  This is a really short review –  Atelier des Ors Rose Omeyyade – amazing!  I don’t like rose that much in perfume, with a few exceptions ( some Malles, MDCI Rose di Siwa, Serge), but this thing is gorgeous.  Notes of Raspberry, rose, pink pepper, patchouli, gaiac, brown sugar, amber, sandalwood, oud.  It’s a great combination of some gourmands without and rose.  It’s just gorgeous.  Of course the great Josie at Osswald told me about it. She has great taste.  Starts out medicinal oud over rose, and then the warmed notes just heat it up.

Really beautiful. I haven’t done it justice here. Josie says it is one of their best-sellers at Osswald. You can find it here.

I swear, I’m putting my weekly reminder back in my calendar.  I think switching my work around just knocked something loose!

So I’ve got four samples of this glorious gourmandy rose to give away. Just drop a comment to be entered!  I’ll do this drawing and last week’s drawing next week.

I have only tried one perfume from this line and would love to try more. I think the amber and sandalwood will make this a fabulous perfume for winter, I am not keen on straight up rose oil, but find rose can add that classic touch to a perfume when it is well blended.

I love love love roses, and oudhs, and patch, and all the wood resins. I’m not keen on soliflores, but rose plus is fantastic. I have no doubt this one is excellent as well. I would love to sample. Thank you for the give away.

  • Kathleen Smith says:

Velvety Damask Rose, sounds like heaven. Thank you for the draw, I’d love to be entered. This time of year time truly accelerates!

  • Fantastic, Rose Omeyyade is the one that intrigues me most from this line (though I love the Iris one.) It sounds divine. Thanks for the giveaway and I couldn’t understand more about losing days!

  • Nemo says:

This sounds amazing. I love roses but most of them don’t work well on my skin. Would love to see if this one smells as good on me as it sounds 🙂 Thank you!

  • RoseMacaroon says:

Big rose fan here, and this one is new to me. Thank you for the chance to try! I know, the cell phone and calendar notificationso have helped a lot, but I still mess up sometimesome ?

  • Koyel says:

I can’t wait for this week to be over!! I love all Atelier des Ors, so this one will be gorgeous 🙂 I also generally love roses. Thanks for the draw, and I hope the rest of your week is more manageable!

  • Audrey H. says:

Rose scents are a tough one for me, it’s rare that I get along with them. When I find one I like it’s amazing. I’d love to try this, thanks for the chance.

  • Kandice says:

This sounds beautiful and would love to try it. Thanks for the opportunity. And thank God for cell phones and reminder lists. Used to know a woman that put everything she needed to remember to do on post-it notes and by the end of the day her pockets were full of them. Yes getting older is no fun. Hang in there!

  • Kayceebee says:

I would love to try this very special rose. Thank you for providing this opportunity.

  • Neva says:

I’m getting to appreciate rose as an ingredient in perfume but I haven’t found many that I like. Mostly the rose is too prominent for my taste. I’d like to try Rose Omeyyade so thanks for the chance.

  • Lemoncake says:

I love rose scents but haven’t tried this one. I love many of the other Atelier des ORS scents though so would love to check it out. Thanks for the draw!

  • Ellen says:

I’d love to give this scent a try! Thanks for the draw.

  • Jennifer S. says:

I’m with you. I don’t like a predominantly rose scented perfume unless it’s very, very light. I do like my rose to peek out of a fragrance ala my Aromatics Elixir though, and the notes in this Atelier sound like they’re right up my alley. Thanks for the chance!

  • Irina says:

would love to sample- didn’t find “my rose”, yet- love “Lune Feline”. Thanks, Patty

  • Sapphire says:

I don’t have good luck with rose perfumes, but I do like Aerin Evening Rose for a darkish, jammy rose. Thanks for the drawing!

  • Maggiecat says:

It’s Wednesday? Ooops… Yes, please enter me in the draw and thank you!

  • Darling Lily says:

This does sound delightful, and the bottle is lovely. And speaking of lovely bottles, does the fabulous Josie have an opinion about the exclusive-to-Osswald Micallef Ylang?

I am positively mad to know what it’s like, but hesitant to get a sample, since it’s so far out of my budget.

  • MMKinPA says:

Sounds amazing! Hump day is almost over!

  • Tiara says:

This sounds delightful, thanks for the draw. I 100% agree that getting old stinks.

  • Kathryn says:

I’ve seldom met a rose I didn’t like. I’d love to try this one. Thanks for the draw!

  • Anna Egeria P. says:

I would love to try a gorgeous rose perfume! Thank you for this draw.

  • Musette says:

DNEM but I just wanted to say that I was just thinking about rose the other day – realizing that I love a fresh rose, love a jammy rose – but there is a sweat note in some roses that just gives me a headache. This one sounds like a keeper, though.

Sounds beautiful. I love all kinds of roses and would love to try this. Love the bottle too!

  • Queen Cupcake says:

This sounds amazing–and even though I’m not sure I like oudh, I am intrigued enough to try a sample. I trust your nose! Please be kind to yourself and don’t worry–many of us are in the hectic holiday zone. Just be water and flow around the rocks…

  • Jo says:

It sounds heavenly! I’d love to be able to try it (though with my luck at that price I’ll fall in love and never be able to justify a bottle!)
