Happy Monday, everyone, and if you’re in the U.S., happy Memorial Day to you! Take a moment today, if you will, to remember service members around the world, past and present. In the U.S., Memorial Day is the traditional kick-off to summer, even if the calendar and/or Mother Nature says otherwise, so for many of us, it’s into summer we go!
Since it’s a holiday here and many folks are in and out, traveling, etc., especially with all the high school and college graduations, let’s keep this short.
What are your plans for today, and what fragrance will you be wearing? What are your favorite summer holiday / cookout scents, whether out to Aunt Betty’s backyard barbecue, to that picnic in the park, to a friend’s pool party over the Memorial Day weekend? Or what do you waft while relaxing around the firepit or fireplace, for those of you who may be a little chilly in the Southern Hemisphere?
I’ll be in and out of town, maybe trying to get in a little beach time here and there and also visit my precious mother-in-law. And maybe see about squeezing in a quick college visit or two for my teenager, as there are one or two of interest along the way in our travels. Yikes! Did I really type that? Can it really be time to start considering colleges?!
Anyhoo, it’s looking to be a wee bit rainy ’round these parts, so I may take a few of last week’s rainy day scents with me. But will also pack up my cool and relaxing scents, such as Guerlain’s Cologne du Parfumeur or Chanel’s Eau de Cologne. And for later in the day, a spritz of Frederic Malle’s Carnal Flower or another tuberose love, for a nice evening out.
Wherever you may be or whatever you’re doing, enjoy your day, lovely Posse folks!
Ugh, 101 degrees in Minneapolis — and to think, 6 weeks ago we had a blizzard! Between the heat and the pressure building to thunderstorms, I ended up with a wicked migraine, which I could feel brewing, so no scent for me today.
I worked in the garden early this am (surprise!), am doing laundry & light housework and some necessary paperwork for biz tomorrow. All in a splash of Jean Nate under a slick of Avon’s Skin So Soft body oil because 94F today. yay. xoxoxo
Work, work and more work! Weathers kinda crummy so don’t really mind. Maybe a sandalwood would do for today. I wish I could smell barbecue chicken in the air. YUM!
Denver has had a few days of hot weather. I wore Chanel No 5 L’Eau to outdoor BBQs. Light and fresh!
I’ll be going to my brother and his family’s house for a barbecue. I love the smell of barbecued chicken and hot dogs on the grill. I also love the scent of ripe fresh fruit in a huge fruit salad bowl, and slightly burnt marshmallows. I’ve been drawn to the classics in perfume lately. Fracas, Chanel No.5, and Rive Gauche in particular. I think Monday will be a Chanel No. 5 edt day.
