Hello, wonderful Posse folks, and happy November!! I usually do an autumn nail polish post late in the year, around October, and realized I’ve been remiss and am now a little behind.
In recent weeks, I’ve pulled out my old faithful Merle Norman Sunset Red (pictured above). It echoes some of the deeply hued leaves we saw this weekend in North Georgia, as we were visiting a beautiful college campus with my high school senior. I usually tend to blue reds for my lips and nails, but this one just seems about perfect for autumn, despite its orange-yellow leanings.
Another color that I’ve fallen for lately is Zoya’s Beth, a shade that would be great year-round and is fairly professional looking. Zoya describes it as “a soft, sandy champagne metallic” and places it in the nude family. It seems a little more metallic cocoa on my nails and has a subtle glow which makes it interesting and fun to wear. It definitely would be one of my “desert island” nail polishes.
Maybe around the holidays I’ll pull out a dramatic blue-red for my fingers and toes, but right now the tootsies are staying pretty bare. If I play my cards right, my hs senior might be coerced into painting my toenails, thus saving me a trip to the salon.
What about you? What are you wearing this autumn on your fingers and/or toes?
Ooooh, nail polish! Time to pull out the pre-winter favorites. Right now I’m wearing OPI Oktoberfest, an oldie but goodie!
My toes are undone, but my nails have been getting attention. I did all black for Halloween week and then changed them this weekend to a medium purple with a grey accent nail (ring finger).
I go through phases where I love to do my fingernails and then other times i can’t be bothered. I always love them long. Zoya nail polishes are my favorite and I recently found a great ebay seller. Got a bunch of new colors including a purple, Suri, that looks great with a few tips done in pale green Tiana. For my next order i want Meadow (golden peach) and Rekha (blood red).. Everyone should have a great red nail polish for fingers and toes!
Hey Ann,
Just had my pedicure done yesterday. Bright green base and gold glitter French tips. I will admit to feeling rather spectacular.
Quite amusing when people notice them at the pool. A 113kg, bearded man with twinkly toes. Second glances and smiles all round.

The last fall/winter collection of OPI was a fairly decent collection. It was called Iceland. Some colors were not that great. I really liked This isn’t Greenland and Check Out These Old Geysuirs. Turn on the Northern Lights was a nice one.
I’ve been in a very long phase of not painting my nails but when that collection was released, Turn on the Northern Lights was a must. So pretty.
