It’s cool, grey and still early in the morning. So far that doesn’t last into the day, though, with temps rising and the sun coming out later. Still, it’s so so pleasant and much easier to manage. We all take a deep breath and just feel calm for an hour.
We’re still getting loads of butterflies and dragonflies which I love.
It was a week. I’m sure you know what I mean.
At least I was able to see the eclipse, which was extraordinary. Around 95% coverage here and when you looked away it was strangely spooky. Then, it passed and we were back to normal evening light (the sun currently goes down here around 8:40 but it’s not full dark till past 9). (Pic is from Spain but what I saw here was similar.)

Otherwise, the dog had dental surgery (which took longer than expected on the day, not the original 1.5 hours – molars are tough), had some bloods taken, a bit of treatment and a scan. Tuesday was not fun. And, he has a lot of drugs to take, including codeine, which he seems to enjoy.

Have not slept well and not worn any perfume at all. Not even the usual not wanting negative associations. Brain has just not done perfume.
Had an annoying Zoom meeting with finance guy.
Gotten thoroughly bored with watermelon and moved on to melon, apricots and peaches. Plus pitta, hummus and baba ganoush.
Craving iced lattes and chips (ie, French fries – not together and didn’t give in to the latter; def gave in to lattes).
So, that’s me. I fully hope I will have something more interesting to say next Monday. Hope you had a much easier and calmer week. And your weather, wherever you are, has been sane and comfortable.

Heya Cinnamon,
Poor puppy. Hug him from us.
Poor UK, you guys are melting AND burning. The world is very angry at us.
Sometimes zero perfume is a good reset. Hoping you come back fighting fit and ready to smell everything again soon. Perfume ennui is a real thing.
Jin introduced me to an originally Korea but now worldwide thing. Iced long black with one sugar. It’s so bloody good in the ultra heat of summer.
We’ve had some rain here, but not torrential, just a happy drizzle. Hoping for some sunshine tomorrow so I can get the laundry done.
