    Kanebo Nihohi Sakura

    January 14, 2006

Quick review just because I’m smitten.

Kanebo’s Nihohi Sakura, I believe found only in Japan and from a very nice seller on The Bay (not affiliated) is the best cherry blossom scent I’ve run into. It has that cherry blossom sweetness, but not so much that it is too sweet, just delicate and fresh and incredibly wearable.

It runs about $58.00 without shipping and comes in this way cute pink square bottle with delicate little cherry blossoms on the front. He also has a parfum that looks swoony for $130 for 9 ml. Too rich for my blood, but for those of you so inclined, do let me know if it’s worth it. :)

Wow, that’s sounds great and very lemming inducing! What is the seller’s name? I can’t find it.

      Thanks, I think!

It really is, I see myself wearing this a lot during the summer. Marina and her Shiseido perfume has set off all kinds of new lemmings. Try searching Kanebo perfume and maybe cherry or blossom and then look for the cheaper one. I don’t think he has the Japanese name in the title.

P, clarification — does it have cherry blossom sweetness, like a flower? Or something that smells like a cherry? Here in DC the thousands of blooming Cherry Blossoms in Spring are a big deal, but to me they have basically no smell… will have to pay more attention this year.

PS Other than Cherry Blossom and Saso, did you buy any more Japanese stuff from that seller? I know nothing about his stuff, it looks so cool. Thanks for the review!

    4. Patty says:

I mean, there’s some flowery to it, it’s not cherry smell, though. You’ll find out, you should have your little samples next week, and you’ll get to sniff the others too, the Tentatrice, which is orchids, and I thought it would NOT be orchids when it went on, but turned into what I think orchids should smell like (do they have a smell either?)

The Saso is just wonderful, though, let me know what you think when you get your sample.

You know, karmically, I must have done something really deserving in a past life to have met you. I finally got my atomizers — panicked about where to start, I really need to work on my control issues.

      It. Sounds. Gooooood!!!

(I wonder if it is a special *harvest* ha ha ha  )

    7. Patty says:

Yeah, the smelly cherry blossom harvest or 1992. :)

      March, just start spritzing. Sheesh!

    8. risa says:

eep! where where can this be found other than The Bay??

    9. Patty says:

I don’t know! I can send you a sample, though, if you want to try it, Risa!

    10. Veronica says:

Hi Patty. Have been off for a bit. Will yak at you later. Just wanted you to know that some orchids have scent. I think most folks are more familiar with the ones that don’t.
