Charlize Theron: Dior J’adore – New film

Hey Hey Posse!!

Charlize Theron is back at DIOR in 2014. New ads, new face, new theme. I love DIOR still using her though she was born August 7, 1975 (age 39). That’s right. 39 years old!!

“The future is gold” is the catchphrase and I like it.

  • Ann says:

Howdy, Portia! I agree that Ms. Theron is almost preternaturally beautiful, but I do think Tammy (above) has a point about Sean Penn. But hey, as my grandmother used to say, “There’s a lid for every pot,” so no judging.
I really do need to try the J’Adore family, as it’s been so long ago that I’ve pretty much forgotten anything about the scents.

    • Portia says:

They are less than they were Ann but still quite nice in their own right.
I wear the current formulation EdP and enjoy it very much.
I love the Lid for every Pot analogy.

She’s gorgeous, and I cannot imagine what the hell she sees in Sean Penn. He has not aged well, he seems incredibly angry all the time and he looks as though he reeks.

    • Portia says:

      Hi there Tammy,
To be honest I think Sean Penn looks like he would be an absolutely fabulous sex partner. All that anger would vent beautifully in the bedroom.

Twenty years ago, I thought Michele Pfeiffer was the most beautiful woman in entertainment. For this generation, I think it’s Charlize Theron.

I’m still astounded how believably ugly she was able to make yourself look and act for her role as Aileen Wournos.

    • Portia says:

Teri! I LOVE Michelle Pfeiffer too. What a gorgeous woman she looks in the movies and magazines.
I haven’t seen Monster but I did watch a few of the Aileen Wournos interviews. Chilling.

Not sure about the perfume, but Charlize is stunning. As she always seems to be. I’m going to chalk it up to genetics, because even in my 20s I didn’t look this good. Then again, I have always loved food, parties and drink more than the gym. I wish I had her makeup artist for just one night.

    • Portia says:

      Tatiana,
Yes, the make up artist, lighting, cameraman, director and editor all play their parts, Not to mention the CGI guy.
I don’t think even Charlize looks this good without help. Also, that is looking like a spruced up face, there has probably been some major in hospital reworking.

  • Julie says:

I don’t care HOW old she is, I think she’s beautiful! The dress is to die for, too. I’m not so sure about the perfume though. But overall I give DIOR a “high five” for using a an over-the-hill “granny” such as Charlene! 🙂

    • Portia says:

      Hiya Julie,
      Fixed the faux pas.
Yes, Charlize is ridiculously gorgeous. I can’t imagine how hard she must work at it.
