Happy April: Spring break ahead

AprilHappy April, dear Posse folks! Hope you all are enjoying more moderate temps, now that spring is more fully here in the Northern Hemisphere. But we’ve felt Mother Nature’s tantrums even in April, here in the South, so you never know.

Everything’s really starting to bloom here; our azaleas and wisteria are coming out quite nicely and the clematis is energetically climbing the mailbox post. It’s spring break for us this week, so DH is charging into full-on yard and garden mode. Also, me and my high school senior are deep into the job search. He really needs to find something for this summer before college starts.

When April hits, I want to roll out a host of goodies, including Guerlain’s Lys Soleia, Chamade and Apres L’Ondee, Chanel No. 19, Tom Ford’s Ombre de Hyacinth, and some nice jasmines. And now also, to dig up my sample of Guerlain’s Champs Elysees (a big thanks to Portia for putting it back on our radar recently), and am awaiting another sample of it to share with a friend who will love it.

So with the change of season, what scents are you eager to pull out? Or are hanging onto your warm and cuddly scents, holding off a little while longer to change out your perfume wardrobe, in case Mother Nature acts up again?

I am holding out for green grass to appear before I ‘change over’ to more seasonal scents, the greens, fruits, florals, and citruses in my collection. The wait has become nearly unbearable!

Mmmm…all these choices sound lovely! I’ve been enjoying the rhubarb of the signature Aedes de Venustas, En Passant, and Ashoka. I’m in the Midwest, so there’s sure to be another sneak attack by winter, but I REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT.

So the question marks we’re supposed to be three rabbits lol ?

    Happy April ???
Right now I am on a NOA kick and may be wearing that for a while. But I also love Reglisse Noire and CCasablanca.in the spring.

I don’t change things a whole lot The only thing I don’t like is citrus perfumes in cold weather. Everything else I wear year round. Right now I’m wearing Comme des Garcons: Olfactory Library Lily. I finally decided to buy a bottle. There is no lily in it. It is a great lily-of-the-valley and perfect for spring. other than that, I have fallen madly in love with Tom Ford Noir de Noir. I cannot get enough of it. Dark roses, chocolate, and saffron. I could happily bathe in it.

I am in the midst of organizing and throwing things out right now. Just today, I finished a bottle of vintage BaV but behind my dresser, found a bottle of vintageish no 19. My perfume collection is scattered about right now and haven’t been able to organize it at this point.

I tend to pull out violets and green fragrances. Gucci envy and Apres l’Ondee will definitely get some time.

    Hey Ann,
We are heading into Autumn down here and it just got a little cooler. I’ve gone from Shorts & T Shirts to Track pants on a week.
Getting out the waring frags with amber and spices, enjoying them immensely.
Have a wonderful springtime up there. So glad my Champs Elysées post has got it some skin time.
    Portia xx

I’m going to try and find a new bottle Cool Water Woman. I work in a warehouse with no AC and that fragrance holds up really well! In 90 degree heat!

I wore Champs Elysee today. Love it XX
