Tragedy by Marissa Zappas

This one is long overdue and going to be kind of brief.

Some of you know that my “godchild” is a performer and actress on the Downtown NY Scene. She staged a show a while ago called “Tragedy” about life growing up in LA. She was always a perfumista. as was her mother, so I guess it was inevitable that she would create a perfume for the show. You can read about the creation and the show here.

My godchild, several years ago.

Tragedy is a white floral, something that I love. It does have a touch of the indole, but being an oil you need to get in close to get the effect= you won’t be knocking down any walls with this one. But I don’t think I’d try this one at the office.

I know this is brief, but it’s a busy week in Lake Misbegotten. I’m enjoying my break from it (so far) with my own Tragedy.

Tragedy is available on the interwebs, $55 for 10ml oil. I purchased mine online.

How sweet! I’ve been waffling on whether I need a roller of Kai, or maybe Child, both of them along these same lines. I hope you have a great week.

What a clever tie-in to her show — a scent! I’d much rather buy a scent than, say, a T-shirt at the merch table. I do admit to having a fine collection of fridge magnets and a couple lapel pins from the shows I’ve seen. I hope Tragedy is a great success for her!

It already played. I think it was a success- it just played in NY and Scotland so I didn’t see it. Her later show played here and I attended

Hmmm, interesting. Is the pic of Marissa? All that wonderful hair. Yup, always interested in a BWF. This seems to have been my summer of tuberoses.

  • Maya says:

BWF always catch my attention and I have a fondness for perfume oils too. Is Tragedy at all similar to Kai?

  • Portia says:

WOW! Talented god daughter. Is this fragrance available commercially Tom?
    Portia xx

It sounds lovely! You know I am a BWF ho!!!
