JAR Perfume – how to live with them

Well, I did it, I broke down and got not just one JAR perfume, but two  – Shadow and Diamond Water, and I don’t regret it a bit, they are such welcome additions to my perfume collection.

I put on Diamond Water yesterday all by itself, with no other scents competing for real estate, and it lasted all night and kept softening and just getting prettier and prettier, and I fell head over heels in love with it.  I’m so glad I got it, it just breathes elegance and beauty. You know when you see something so beautiful, you have no words to describe it, and to try put words to how exquisite it is will cheapen it?  Yeah… like that.

The bad news is the Shadow, which I also love, but haven’t spent the night with, so to speak, has cloves in it, and I didn’t know that my husband can’t stand the smell of cloves (how can you know someone for 15 years and NOT know this?).   Well, more for me!  But he’s pretty disappointed that he can’t wear it and get ravished.

This is a short post today since I’ve been doing training all week and suffering from insomnia on top of that. I’ll be back in good writing energy next week.

As a side note, I hope to be done with putting my decants and perfume samples in my internet store over the weekend, in addition to my eBay listings, which will make it easier to extend discounts on shipping and samples and decants in the regular pricing.  I’ll just drop a quick note in a post when it is ready and change the link over on the right.

Two JARs!!! Congrats! So glad they’re not my favorites, or I’d have to kill you, LOL…

Fridays are usually Trashy Fridays, so here’s a hot one for you:

During talks concerning the revitalization of the European economy after WWI, Lloyd George suggested a 40% increase in Italy’s banana crop.

    Italy has no banana crop.

    Congrats on your new acquisitions!

    Enjoy your new treasures, Patty!

Sometimes strong spice scares men…too bad!
I’ll admit, though, that I’ve returned a few mighty expensive perfumes because my DH threw fits [I liked them! …the frags, I mean, not the fits…].

Relax and pleasure yourself this w/e-;)

Wow I’m impressed Patty! I would still be debating about it in 2007. I missed the Trash, but this is exciting news on your JARS.

Too bad about the cloves…what a strange spice to not like – I guess it can be strong. Hey – at least you’re still discovering new things about each other.

Have a relaxing and hopefully sleep-filled weekend!

    Hi Patty,
Wow! Congratulations on your JAR fragrances! I have a quick question for you.If you sample these first, then will they ship to your address or did you buy these at the boutique? Thanks for your help.

  • Elle says:

Very cool!!!! Glad you got them! I *love* cloves, but they just didn’t work on me in Shadow. Good thing for my budget. 🙂

  • Ina says:

Congrats! \:d/ Can I be your customer?

  • Marina says:

Congratulations!! Which one of the JARs do you think I ‘d like the most? I have only tried Golconda and I like it, but I am not madly in love with it. 🙂

  • March says:

Oh, I am SO HAPPY for you!!!

Cloves — who doesn’t like the smell of cloves?! They’re … yummy.

Have fun sniffing! PS What does he think is the sexiest thing on you? (Fragrance-wise;))
