For the 2nd Thanksgiving in my life, I enjoyed it at a restaurant. I have to say, I hope this becomes a tradition. There was no fighting, no football, no waiting around for hours. Instead of being an all-day event, it was a four-hour event. Dinner at 3:30 and home by 7:00. No cleaning. No overeating. Really, eating out on Thanksgiving is something to be thankful for!
I just went to Nordstrom’s and sampled the new Bottega Veneta. Smells Good!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Somehow, it hasn’t been commercialized and its still all about getting together with loved ones to share good food, drink and conversation. I wore a few spritzes from my latest favorite sample (Attrape Couer) and had a wonderful time sniffing my wrist every so often when I wasn’t eating too much or napping from the effects of tryptophan and wine. :-) Hope everyone’s day was as relaxing and enjoyable as mine was!
I think it was Nigella Lawson who said “it’s just not Thanksgiving without a good family row.” so, it was a good one at our house and I hope at yours!
Enjoy the holiday. We in Canada had our thanksgiving in October… this seems to be yet another reality check that WINTER and XMAS times are actually on the doorstep. Ah, but we perfume-people have the comfort of our rich beautiful “winter” and “celebration” perfumes. Cheryl

Yesterday spent eating a TON of turkey and today we are just heading out to eat a pasta lunch with the family (squid ink pasta with 5 chili oil or maybe the proscuitto-parmesan pasta!).
