No post for today; it’s my birthday (today, Wednesday the 20th) and I’ve found myself wearing all my old favorites this week instead of anything new. So it’s been a parade of musks: MKK, SIP’s Musc Botanique, AG Musc Nomade. There was an insertion of Piguet Cravache in there Tuesday night, but that’s because I had to attend a thing at City Hall and I thought “rode hard and put away wet” might not be the best signal to send..
I didn’t even buy anything fume-wise, I did splurge and buy a really great brownie…
I am going to stroll over to a very pretty restaurant on Burton Way called Il Cielo that’s offering a special to walkers: go at happy hour, tell them you walked there and you get a special free appetizer. If you’re in the area they’re doing it all summer. And if you just park two blocks away and walk from your car, then you’re still walking, aren’t you?

Tom, Happy BIrthday. Hope it was wonderful! LA (BH and SM in particular) have a lock on ‘pretty restaurants’ – the weather, the flora. Heck, even the grocery stores are pretty! (the parking lot of Pavillions on Montana in SM is cuter than 90% of the restaurants in Chicago)
Hope the day was grand. And don’t worry about Nicole’s waistline – nobody over the age of 14 has a waistline like that – I think she had some ribs removed.
