Esperanza the Perfume Fairy Godmother
It has been a while since we did this! But let’s do Perfume Sample Fairy Godmother for May 2017. First the general guidelines on how Fairy Godmother works – this post will be open until the end of May For those of you new or that need a reminder of how this works – in comments you can list one or two things that you are yearning for and can’t seem to get – a perfume sample is the easiest wish to grant. Or you can wish for a full bottle, decant, vintage perfume or discontinued perfume you can’t find. If someone has it and can help you out, they can reply to you in comments and then you can arrange to go offline through e-mail to work things out. Please don’t post e-mails in comments unless you spoof them somehow, like this – patty at perfumeposse dawtcawm (spelling the dotcom at the end that way prevents robots from finding it as easily). Caveat Emptor and all that, don’t send people money, check out their references on MUA or Basenotes or the Facebook groups before you send something in a swap, if you wind up doing a swap. We have some amazing Fairy Godmothers that show up every month, granting wishes right and left. If you’ve been the recipient of some kindness, do give back when you can. I know people have gotten wishes granted, and every month they comb through the posts trying to find one or two people they can help out, and it just makes my heart happy. If it’s a gift, send away. I should note that it’s more likely that a Fairy Godmother will happen along if you are a fairly regular commenter on The Posse and people recognize your name.
I may (this varies from based on lots of things) play Perfume Posse Fairy Godmother and go through the list and grant one or two perfume sample wishes. I’ll pick from ones that nobody has been able to help with and send them The Precious. I’ll announce who those people are when I put up the next Fairy Godmother post. Good luck!

I loved the original Lauren by Ralph Lauren, back in the day. What’s in production right now just doesn’t work for me.
I read that Hermes Amazone or Hermes Rose Amazone were something to try – as a kind of ‘in the same family’ replacement.

There is one perfume I have searched for tirelessly and never been able to find a sample of…L’Artisan Parfumeur ‘Fleur D’Oranger’, either the 2007 or 2011 version. I know I’ll never find a bottle, but I’d love to smell it just once.
YAY! I LOVE sharing the perfume love! 🙂 I have participated in this page for the past few months and am active on FFFs as ‘Julie BP’. I live in the middle of nowhere so I have to purchase my samples over the internet then swap through the site for others I want. When I receive a sample, I catalogue it, review, and pass on. I have held 4 RAOKs on FFFs in 2017 already and am gearing up for a 5th. Let’s do this! 🙂 On my wish list I have Solstice Scents “Cherry Cordial” and “Maplewood Inn”. Also DSH “Winter White”, “Lift Off”, “Verveine”, Indus”, “Little Smile”, and any from the gourmand line. I also have a few samples and partial bottles that I will send to whomever requests those scents. Thanks and best wishes everyone!
