Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays to all of you!  I wish we could all have some variation of that scene on the left, and some have more of it than others this year.

I’m so happy, my mom is here with me at my house until after the New Year, and that is a wonderful thing.  We’ll go to early Christmas Eve Mass, I’ll bake my Christmas Lasagna that night, refrigerate overnight and then take it out for warming at my sister’s house.  One of her daughter’s is not bringing her family because they have been doing a lot of high school sports and traveling and have been exposed.  For them, it’s okay, but they want to protect us oldsters. We’ll miss them.

So we’ll eat lasagna and ham and share the Christmas PieCaken (pie, cake, it sounds ridiculous and delicious) and Nothing But Bundt cake we had other people make for us.  I’ll probably wear MFK BR540, best guess?

I hope all of you have a lovely holiday.  It is each one of you that keeps us all here writing and reading your comments. You have become an important part of our virtual family. The names are sometimes the same for years, and then there are new people, and it just makes it a perfect blend of familiar and new.

All my love from my house to yours.

We shall not be having our men children home for Xmas this year. It’s the first time & whilst I won’t miss the 3am Xmas morning pi**heads getting back from the pub & eating the pie no slicing involved. I will miss the rest of their being here.
We’ve rarely had an ideally family Xmas. Having two nurses as parents does tend to throw spanner’s in the works. Someone is always missing from the table.
It’s never been just hubby & me before. So it’s virgin ground for us.

    Merry Xmas to the Posse

Thank feck the Shitshower that was 2020 is almost over & hoping 2021 is an improvement.

Merry Christmas Patty. You are so lucky to have your Mom with you. Sounds like a wonderful celebration.
MFKBR540 is gorgeous in the bottle but a dog on me. Such a bummer. My favorite scent for last 10? years has been MFK754. It is right for everything, rather like vintage Channel #5 or Mitsouko.
Hope your pups have a wonderful Christmas too.

Happy Holidays to you and yours! I’m wrapping up a last bit of work, but I just put on some vintage Nuit de Noel to get in the spirit. I’ll bake some ginger cake tonight or tomorrow so the house will smell festive. Wishing everyone a healthy and safe rest of the year.

Your plans sound lovely! We have Chinese food from our favorite restaurant on Christmas Eve. This year will be takeout. Then on Christmas Day this year, I’m gonna just do heavy appetizers like bacon-wrapped dates and 7-layer Texas dip rather than a big meal so we can nibble all day. I’m not sure what scent I’ll wear, maybe Bois des Iles. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you all!

Piecaken?! That’s the most decadent looking thing I’ve seen but you had me at lasagna lol!
Warm holiday wishes to all this season and stay safe out there!

Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, and may 2021 be brighter for all of us! Enjoy your time with Mom and sister Patty, and thank you Posse for this community and posts. I am making Tomato Tortellini soup for Christmas Eve, and we are grilling turkey for Christmas dinner and a small family get together. The quietness of this year’s Christmas allows more time to appreciate the special things.

That’s great that your mother is with you. Xmas food (bar ham, I am not partial to ham) sounds wonderful and sane. Have a lovely holiday and a good rest.
