Happy New Year!

Well, let me be just really early here.  This year perfume-wise has been super scattered, and I found some great new perfumes to love and wear, new lines, indies, new brands.

But it’s not very organized!  This year has been a mixed bag – a lot of really crappy parts, some kind of great parts, and I keep hoping next year is… better? More normal?

But this is me, a little anxiously waiting what’s behind that 2022 door.

My personal goals for the new year is to get more serious about health and exercise habits. I’m going to do this keto meal plan where they send me the food, do that for at least 2-4 weeks to get a solid jump start on a healthy eating habit.

Perfume area, I want to continue to explore some indies, but probably spend a little less time on that and start looking for the unappreciated gems out there.  Or maybe just more obscure stuff?

I’ve had a little time for TV this last week, and I am so loving that new 1883 thing that is the prequel to Yellowstone. Yellowstone just bugged me so much after the first season, I haven’t watched it at all since. But 1883 is everything so far. And Sam Elliott.

Finally got around to Bridgerton.  Not sure why I haven’t watched it until now, but it really is great fun!

And I want to be a little less busy next year!  My fear is that will not happen and might be worse, but I’m going to try.  I’d like to say that I’ll say no to those overnight international jobs when they roll in… but I won’t!  I’d rather say no to all the little things that clutter up my day and give me not enough uninterrupted blocks of time to relax a little.

I’m in the slower work period over the holidays, and my mom is here, and I so much enjoy having her around and just having the time to relax with her and do nothing but sit and visit or read our own things separately and chat ever now and then.

I need more of that, the end of this year has just been awful in so many ways, and peace and quiet is really welcome, and being with the people I love.

Wishing all of that peace and quiet and people you love to all of you as you close out this year and go into the next.

Bought a Sarah Horowitz but it’s very different & not as nice as the sample I have. I bought Fath’s Lilas Exquis which disappoints so I was using up oldies like Quadrille and Replique. Now that it’s very cold, I’ve switched to Must de Cartier, CdG Kyoto, & ambers.
Good wishes for a healthy and peaceful 2022 for everyone!

    Hey Patty,
Happy New Year to you too.
Jin and I watched a couple of things with our girlfriend Anna Maria last night that we really loved. A serious but lovely and interesting look at homelessness is Nomadland, Francis McDairmid inhabits the role effortlessly.
If you like a fun animated musical coming-of-age story then Encanto was engrossing, songs are fun and toe tappy too.

Give Miss Nadine my love and here’s to 2022 being way better for all of us, in health& happiness, under grace, in perfect ways.

This year I only bought TWO fragrances!! A bottle of Lubin Gin Fizz, a recent love, and a refill for my Gucci Envy parfum atomizer. The Envy was a long-sought-after purchase, since it’s discontinued and rare as hen’s teeth now. But it’s a Top Five fav of mine, thus the relentless search. But still…only two. Please don’t seize my perfumista card! I resolve to try and do better in 2022!

    Happy New Year Patty!
I also wish to close out 2021 quietly and peacefully, and hope for an equally peaceful 2022. We can hope!
My resolution is not new; to continue to balance inevitable busy with quiet solitude to feel grounded.
Perfume-wise, please keep us posted with any obscure finds.I have explored gems from the past this past year.
