Hi there Posse. I can’t remember exactly how I came across Un Jour d’Ete but my mind tells me that it came in a LuckyScent Sample Pack. It MAY have been that. The thing is, when I tried it the whole note list would have put me off. This was pretty early after I found you all online. Till then I’d only been kept aware and avidly up to date through fashion magazines, TV and my wanders through Sydney department stores. So coconut and ambergris, all the citruses and flowers would have been right off my radar. That’s mostly why I think it must have arrived in a bunch of stuff I didn’t curate personally.
It was one of met three Top 2012 Picks here on Perfume Posse, joined by Slumberous Pear & Olive and Neela Vermeire Creations Mohur. A very good year and I stand by those as lasting the test of time. In fact I’m decently chuffed at my foresight.

Un Jour d’Ete is the ultimate in salty coconut tropical splendour. From my very first spritz I knew this would be a bottle in my collection and I pined for it. Sweet, spicy, interesting, sensual, heartbreakingly beautiful and lasts for hours on my skin. Moreover I think it’s simple, uncomplicated beauty is a perfect foil to almost any moment in time.
In the Northern Hemisphere do yourselves a favour and slather your sweet selves in it this summer. You will smell bloody fabulous. On my second bottle and I wear it all year round (and I have a backup just in case). Furthermore, I reckon it would make my Top 10 Desert Island list too.
