Howdy, dear Posse folks! I’m afraid I have hit a bump in the perfume-smelling world these past few days, done in and overcome by high-school senior-itis, the fill-out-all-the-forms- for-college fever, the job-hunting blues and just general fatigue from having to juggle so much stressful stuff. So sorry, but I’ve got nut n’ honey for you guys this week.
But please do share what you’ve been up to this weekend, how your late April/almost May is going so far, your end-of-school-year kid woes, what you’re doing garden-wise, what you’re wearing and enjoying right now. And if it has notes of nut or honey in it, so much the better.
I pulled out samples of Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom and also Basil and Neroli recently, and enjoyed their citrus-y, refreshing vibe. Think Mama’s going to have to get some more of those!
Hope everyone has a great week!!
Honey, it’s that time of year! I keep thinking I’m going to wear something different – but scores of logs needed moving and omg! I had to divide 20 hostas ahead of the 4 days of rain we have now. Keep breathing! xoxoxoA
Aw honey, I hope things get better soon!
I have a lot of friends with seniors accepting at colleges right now — it seems like eons away with my 1st grader, but wow! What a lot of stress! You deserve all the nuts and honey and Jo Malone and any other self-care you can score! I’ve been in love with my new travel spray of Aedes de Venustas’ signature scent and may thunk it faster than I was planning — I am crazy about that rhubarb smell this spring!
Still cold, rainy and crappy here, so we are doing a massive spring cleaning. I’m still wearing my winter scents: amber, tonka, incense.
Jo Malone – English Oak and Hazelnut with a spritz of Nirvana Black makes everyone I work with follow me around!
I love the nutty and oak qualities, but no one reacts without the sandalwood on top.
Ann, I use the “nut ‘n honey” expression all the time–hahaha! I’ll bet you also remember the commercial; it was a funny one. I have been up to nothing but Spring cleaning and such…weather too crummy to work in the garden but I just had to pick up a lot of trash and things that blow into my yard & garden. So, a little fresh air for me, between little rain showers. Perfume? Orange blossom anything sounds just fine to me, or maybe some Tuvache Jungle Gardenia that I scored at an estate sale a few months ago. Nut & honey? In the scones I made this morning.
In the same boat with my youngest who is also a senior. In a bit of a perfume rut so going commando or just wearing eos. Orange Blossom was my first full bottle Malone and I thunked it in one season of spring because I wore it daily. Can’t go wrong with that one.
