“I know I should have had a post but but Jane kept interrupting me with he crap new recipe ideas…”
Sorry, but the post I was going to put up I didn’t get done and life has been a little hectic this week, sooooo..
How about them Dodgers! They won something that’s important to people. There was a parade that was entirely peaceful.
Today is election day around the country. In California we have one item on the ballot. We’ll see how that pans out.
I have a friend visiting from Atlanta, a memorial service for an old friend, the funeral of my good friend’s husband (he died Saturday after a long illness) and the possibility of Jury Duty coming up.
But the LUSH Hannukah collection dropped, so there’s at least something on subject here..
How is your week going?

Hey, petunia! Sounds like you’re in the weeds! Hope it levels out quickly.
All good here – taking advantage of the decent weather to finish winterizing the garden.
It’s a good week to hide out and smell filth-ee
Gosh, Tom, that sounds like a rough week (minus the friend visiting.) I hope you dab on a bit of something beautiful.
I’ve been marinating myself is all sorts of things.
I’m sorry that you’re having it a bit rough lately. So far OK here. The time change in autumn always knocks my mood down for a while.
Too bad Portia’s not having a thunking marathon now. I decided to go through samples and pull out the ones I like but don’t want more off and use them up. I know, well duh! The first three are PMC Ylang Ylang Nosy Be, NVC Eschal, and Profumum Ichnusa. The danger is that I might really fall for one and have to add it my seemingly never decreasing list of those I want FBs of.
I know exactly what you mean. I will end up in a shoebox by the river, but with a huge selection of perfumes.
Hi Tom, I’m in California, and it has been a hectic week–but I’m kinda happy this fine rainy California post-election Wednesday! I’m probably going to wear Providence Perfume Co. “Lapsang Lover.” Hope for better days for you in the weeks ahead.
We didn’t get rain down here in LA but I am happy with the overcast..
I”m sorry about the passing of your friend’s husband, Tom. Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding ten days ago on their first wedding anniversary, and it was a beautiful fairytale occasion at the Cloisters Castle in Maryland. Here are the scents we wore: I wore Experimental Perfume Club’s Jasmine Osmanthus; hubby wore Bulgari Black; our son wore Tom Ford Noir de Noir; bride wore Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid; and the groom wore Versace Dylan Turquoise. Today I’m off to an annual physical with my doctor. Their building is adjacent to construction so parking will be a nightmare.
What is that Jasmine-Osmantgus like? I’ve been looking for a jasmine TEA scent with osmanthus as back up,bo lemon or mint.
Oooh, I could use one of those.
I love it. It’s jasmine sambac, very sultry with a nice osmanthus that has that apricot suede note that is distinctive of osmanthuus. EPC sells a great travel size too!
What a lovely wedding that must have been!
Why is Oct/Nov always so freaking BUSY Tom? Especially this year.
Some of those election results have us cheering over here.
Hey, have you ever tried Aesthete by Le Galion?
Portia xx
Many of us voters are cheering over here–from the East Coast of NY to the West Coast of California where I live. My SOTD is going to be Lapsang Lover by PP Co.
Gotta look for that one too.
Fabulous Shiva-woman. XX
I’m being cautiously optimistic..
I haven’t. but I’ve been meaning to.
I am glad about the elections but now the lawsuits start..
I wore it yesterday and thought you might love it.
Yeah, welcome to modern (CRAZED) politics
As Samuel Goldwyn was supposed to have said “include me out..”
Sounds a busy time. I’m sorry about the human losses. It’s hard.
Lush Hannukah… will have to look here.
And, I have to say I’m cautiously cheerful this morning.
“cautiously cheerful” about covers it for me.
