Hey Perfume Posse, Portia from Australian Perfume Junkies and I can’t remember if I’ve put this up for you too see before. The most lavish Cartier advertisement ever. A movie with a story and the most incredible locations and CGI work. It makes me wonder how much money the Cartier crew has, it must be squintillions, because there has been no expense spared to bring you this.
As this is a conversation and I love to read your thoughts and have a chat, What is your favourite Cartier fragrance?
My answer is two fold:
Baiser Volé by Cartier 2011 (Stolen Kiss)
Fragrantica gives these featured accords:
Top: Pistils of the lily, citrus
Heart: Lily petals
Base: Green leaves of lily (musk not noted)
Cartier Baiser Vole (APJ Review) and Cartier Baiser Vole EdP (Perfume Posse Review) is the loveliest lily imaginable. Soft, wet, slightly metallic and a wash of lovely fragrance that is never intrusive but has excellent sillage and staying power. A perfect scent for days when smelling pretty and luminous is your goal, don’t dismiss Baiser Vole as simple though, it’s also interesting enough to spend a lazy Saturday enjoying its story while reading a book or doing the ironing.
Cartier II L’Heure Convoitée 2011 (The Coveted Hour)
Photo Stolen Fragrantica
Fragrantica gives these featured accords in one line:
Carnation, iris and powder
Cartier II L’Heure Convoitée (Perfume Posse Review) What opens as a softly spicy iris in Cartier’s L’Heure Convoitée reads wet and fresh and hefty. Though it is a sparse fragrance there is definite weight behind its ethereal sheerness, and every time I spritz it I am surprised again. Jin and I bought this in the middle of winter at the Cartier shop in Prague earlier this year and you woulds think something so fresh and sparkly would be a mistake in the snowy cold but it was perfect. Reflecting the wonderful winter wonderland we were in, L’Heure Convoitée will always be a happy and uplifting scent for me just on memory association alone.
Enjoy it the movie below please
