Hey Posse! A couple of months ago I grabbed a few things at Surrender To Chance. Yes, I know I’m supposed to be getting rid of my samples and decants in the New Idea 2023 deal. Sorry, I’ve always been a greedy little piggy, so here we are. I like to spend a while wearing new perfumes away from the crowds and fragrant melange of department stores. That way I get a MUCH better feeling for the fragrance on its own. Narciso Rodriguez often does perfume I love. Seeing All Of Me gave me an instant zing and it was in the cart. There are a few others in the order we may get to.

OK, so did you love the naughties? Those radiant perfumes like Elie Saab, SJP Lovely, Gucci Guilty woman? Then you will remember and LOVE All Of Me. It’s a new showing on a now historic trope. So pretty and very wearable. I can imagine many of the youngsters wearing this reminiscently of mothers and grandmothers fragrances. Also, the Mums and Grandmas who have moved on to newer pastures may also get a lovely memory jolt of glory days gone by.
None of the noted accords are very connected to the way All Of Me smells. It’s a shimmering, radiant opening of dewy white florals. The heart remains sparkling but not even remotely like geranium or rose real life counterparts. It’s a fizzy fantasy flower from cartoon land. There’s even some softly juicy soda pop fruits swirling around. The heart gives me hints of Lancome Midnight Rose.
This is where the fragrance stays for most of its quite lengthy lifespan. You could spritz All Of Me in the morning before work and still have lovely, wispy remnants at the end of the day. They will have the soft undertones of laundry musk under confectionary fruits. MAYBE some sandalwood but honestly that could be note list suggestion.
All Of Me is super traditional femme but smelled so good on my I’m thinking of a bottle purchase, hopefully they are doing 30ml. Not groundbreaking at all but done beautifully. I wasn’t going to write about it but I’m down to the last few spritzes of my 3ml sample and I’m craving MORE! There’s something to be said for that kind of desire.

The OG NR gave me instant headache, though I still keep a travel size for reference.
I thought I loved the red cube after blowing through 2 samples. Bought it but never even opened it. Sold quickly when listed.

Keihls does the same. Between small musk molecule headache & large musk molecule anosmia, I find many musks challenging.
I liked NR enough to buy it but it had to go.

I’ ve always found the NR perfumes very pretty, my favorite is Narciso Poudre. This one sounds good too, I adore the scent of magnolia flowers.

No one loves Geranium Bourbon as much as I do – this, along with the rosa centifolia (one of my favorites among the roses) makes this a must-try. I was … indifferent… to the original NR – probably for no other reason that (insert shrug emoji)… but this one I will spend some time with!

I have the little sample set running around somewhere but can’t remember where. Got that at least a couple years ago from Sephora but haven’t seen the pink or black bottle in at least a year on Sephora.
NR (back in the day) was often the answer when I’d ask someone what lovely thing they were wearing. Pretty sure I still have my original bottle and the pink one (and maybe the silver one?) I bet I’d love this. NR seems like a fragrance that I wouldn’t like, but I do.
Yeah, OG NR seems to be a bit of an everyone scent March. It crosses generations and tastes. Smart choice for him, it must have made squillions.

I’m an NR fan from the black bottle on myself, so yes this sounds interesting to me! I wore SJP Lovely quite a bit as well, so the magnolia and musk part sounds really good. I’ll have to check it out!

I am a NR fan, so this sounds pretty good to me. There are other things I want more, however, and I already have some Magnolia scents. Real Magnolia has a great lemony freshness and zing to it. We have those trees here in Virginia. I’d like to sniff this. Thanks Portia!

In the last 10 years or so those huge white magnolias have come to Sydney in a big way. We had a mauve/pink one in the front yard as children. I always thought they were the most gorgeous flowers.

I like the black bottle and the white cube bottle is one of my favorite grab and go perfumes. All of Me sounds good, and at least it’s got a name beyond just Narciso Rodriguez.

I do love NR! The original in the black bottle For Her is still my favorite. I use the parfum and body cream. I had a man remark one time “girrrl… you smell good enough to eat”. I am definitely checking this one out!
