Portia in Chicago!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I usually get squooed on my birthday.  It’s one of those days, like folks who are born on (or near) Christmas – or the 4th of July.  We get squooed.  Mine is usually right at or around Thanksgiving (unlike Christmas & the 4th of July, T-
Day is not a fixed date).  Folks are traveling, offices are shut, turkeys are roasting and I’m …squooed.

But not this year!  THIS year I get a magnificent present:  PORTIA TURBO!  Yah!  Portia and her family are coming to Chicago to hang out and eat chocolate cake with me!  Can you SQUUUUUEEEEEE! ??????

I am SO excited!  And …because I am a decent sort…I am going to share Portia with you.  We’ll be doing the most casual of Sniffs on Monday 24 November.  We’re going to Barneys, where we will sniff a couple of scentst and yap about it, then we’ll go over to investigate the new, gorgeous Neiman-Marcus Beauty & Fragrance Dept and do it all over again, probably around 3 or 4p.  This will NOT be like Chicocoa or LA – it’s really nothing more than a bunch of people getting together and yapping/sniffing…..then we’re going to go over to the Peninsula (or some other fabulous hotel) lobby and have cocktails and yakk some more.

Wanna join us?  Oooh!  we might have cake.

But whether we have cake is irrelevant.  WE. WILL. HAVE. PORTIA!  She will be bringing these:

For those of you who have not met Portia IRL, lemmetellya…you are in for such a treat.  Portia is……omg.  Portia is a force of Nature.  Portia is a Force for Good.  Portia is so stunningly fabulous that you can’t even imagine. Such wonderfulness.

We’re going to meet at Barneys around 1:30p on Monday 24 November…and we will party like it’s My Birthday (which it isn’t – it’s the day before my birthday – but with PORTIA in the HOUSE?  EveryStinkin’DAY is MY BIRTHDAY!!!)

There is no signup, no reservations – just show up at Barneys…or…N-M….or, watch this space and I’ll confirm where we’re going to meet for cocktails/coffee.  I realize it’s a Monday, so for a lot of us, mid-day Monday isn’t the easiest – but it’s PORTIA!  So if you’re able, please do join us!

DO NOT EMAIL ME AT THE POSSE EMAIL.  It’s broken.  I broke it.  In fact,  my entire personal (non-Bear Boring) ‘device life’ is broken.  In fact #2:  Rina (who won Sunshine) and Michelle (who won Dreams of Smoke) – you two need to re-message me at my gmail account (evilauntieanita) with your information.  That’s why y’all don’t have anything yet.  Apologies.  But if you could’ve seen the mess that virus left…..it’s like Godzilla stomped through the computer, on his way to fight Mothra.  I have to get another laptop and once that’s set up I’ll get the Posse email back).  Godzilla says he’s sorry, too.
