Glug Glug

The Pool, before I drained some of the water off the first of 3 times.

Sorry kids- no post for this week. The weekend kind of disappeared into preparing for the big storm, which did arrive big. Thank goodness it was not as big as it was in other parts of the city (or the state) but it was big enough- I did have to pump out the full-to-bursting pool a couple of times and there are some carpeting that will need to be dried, but the roads didn’t collapse (that was up the street) and we aren’t standing in ankle high mud (also up the street.)

So I am saying my thanks to the weather goddesses (hey. it’s Mother Nature) and bracing for the next storm.

And wearing Fracas. Because nothing says “Bring It ON” like Fracas.

Sorry about your big weather, Tom. A friend gave me a big bottle of Fracas edt in college, and I happily wore it for years, having no idea of its bigness or sultry reputation. I love tuberose and those bright top notes. Hopefully I didn’t overspray, but it was the 80s. All the Poison and Giorgio wearers probably didn’t even notice! Ha!

Time to stop with the biblical flooding. You don’t want to have to build Tom’s Ark. Seriously – stay safe!

  • Musette says:

Lordt! SoCal in Winter is such a crapshoot! I remember being on Ocean, right at Channel Avenue, on a rainy February Saturday (probably the 4th such rainy day)…. I was 2-3 cars behind the red light…
…suddenly…there was this rrrummmmble… and a ball of mud came rolling down Channel, across PCH/Ocean…the fact that no one was in the way was nothing short of a miracle.

Y’all don’t play when it comes to wet weather. Or dry weather. Or windy weather.

Glad you’re okay and you’re in Fracas!

    Stay safe, Tom!

  • March says:

Oh, Tom! I’ve been watching the news out there with horror… no rain, then waaaay too much. Glad you are okay-ish. Fracas seems like the perfect choice.

    • Tom says:

Like I wrote- we were luckily out of the brunt of it, but we did get 6 inches (let me rephrase that: SIX INCHES!!) of rain in that storm. I swear three of it came down in about 15 minutes..

The weather globally is an absolute basket case, not going to get any better in my lifetime either.
    It’s not a legacy I’m proud of.
Fracas to deal with a weather fracas. Perfect pairing.
    Stay safe

Mother Nature is having a serious go this year. Hope the storms break soon. We’re on flood alert here from midday through early evening tomorrow. Will move the car to slightly higher ground and try to get dog to walk before things start. Fracas sounds perfect for girding the loins.

    • Tom says:

Yikes! Hope you’re okay- let us know what happens, okay?

We are supposed to get another over the long holiday weekend (but of course!) but nothing like this one.

  • Portia says:

Glad you got through, good luck with the rest Tom.
    FRACAS! Of course.
    Perfect.
    Portia xx
