Hey Posse, This May it’s 10 years since the ScentSation Bus Tour in LA. On that adventure we were lucky enough to meet Sarah Horowitz in person at Beauty Habit. She was charming, and gorgeous. We were all smitten. I bought Perfect Coconut Milk. Going through the samples for New Idea 2023 there have been a few resurfacing that I’m really glad to get some time with. Hereafter is one and I’m going to share the ride with you today.

Sweet, creamy sandalwood with the soft caress of cardamom. So luxurious. Though it’s all that, there is also a dryness to Hereafter. Not hot but warm and dry. You know when you’re in a desert and you’ve been sweating all day and suddenly the sun goes down? You’re still warm from the heat of the day but it’s like an instant change to comfortable. It’s a short while before you start feeling the cool of temperature drop. That is what I’m feeling.
The heart is a little crackly as the vanilla heavy amber steps up its intensity. The idea of toffee without the sticky, jawbreaking, gawdawful sweetness of the reality. Toffee woods, the sandalwood creaminess is now but a little by raw woods, greener.
Lastly, that vanilla rich amber continues its soft waft for hours and hours.
Totally unisex. I keep thinking how gorgeous this would be on the neck and body of a loved one as you give them a hug. Hereafter is so comfortable and beautiful. Mixed in with a little humanity of a days wear it becomes irresistible. I wish I had more so I could make jin wear it.

That was one of the most fun days of my life! And there I am, right in front on left of the photo!! It was so great meeting you, Patty and all the other perfumistas. I bought Perfect Nectar which is delicious. Those were the glory days.

Love that photo of everyone on the bus! I enjoy cardamom. It’s in Cartier Declaration which I enjoy as a summer scent. I use a generous bit of powdered cardamom in my homemade chicken noodle soup, and it takes it to the next level. I imagine it does the same for Hereafter!

Hereafter sound gorgeous! You pinpoint perfectly what much of modern perfumery is missing, that touch of humanity. Not necessarily dirty humanity but that warmth of worn in skin.

I only had one strange olfactory thing happen & that was before I got symptoms.
DH was discharged from hospital 5 days after his op. He’d been told a 7-10 days but he’s ahead is schedule. Despite still being Covid positive he didn’t need ICU either. His surgeon was pleased with how it went. He has one less kidney, a partially new aorta & the cancerous lymph nodes out, but he’s still here & that’s the main thing.
If he doesn’t follow his discharge plan & do as I ask you guys may find I’m on Wanted posters!
