Hi Posse crew, Recently I grabbed this Creed Fleurissimo decant from Surrender to Chance (yes, they are my friends). For some reason I thought it was DCd. NOPE! It’s still available. Even FragranceNet has it for a decent price (not affiliated).
Also, with the Northern Hemisphere spring. Here’s a floral beauty that may have slipped your mind. It’s definitely time for something pretty and verdant.
Fleurissimo by Creed
Creed gives these featured accords:
Top: Mandarin, Violet Leaves, Bergamot
Heart: Tuberose, Jasmine, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Neroli
Base: Orris, Sandalwood, Cedarwood
Fleurissimo opens up a soapy floral with greenery. It’s fresh, cool and crisp. Just like walking into a florist. White flowers, jasmine especially, and torn leaves. I’m very surprised there’s no mention of bulbs because I smell narcissus and hyacinth.
For such a pretty fragrance Fleurissimo is also quite hefty. It has excellent diffusion and really changes the air around me for the first hour. When I went outside to get a coffee, coming back into my office it was very pronounced. Interestingly, though it is very fragrant, it doesn’t feel pugnacious.
Through the heart I’m getting very specific nods to Patou Joy. It’s not the same but it does share a feeling of springlike joyfulness. That rich floral explosion.
Dry down is iris, a softly woods/laundry musk wash, flashes of green and remnants of white flowers. Good longevity too, though you’ll probably need a top up to keep it bouncing at lunch and into the afternoon.
Yes, Fleurissimo is aimed at women but it smells mighty fine on a guy.
Did you ever smell Fleurissimo?

How could this have passed me by without notice? While not a Creed Fangirl overall… hmmm… pretty much every Spring note I love is in this!
Must investigate…
Musette,
I’d LOVE to read your thoughts on Fleurissimo if you ever get to try it.

This one sounds worth checking out and I will. My feeling about flowers is hardly a secret. I love……..” it doesn’t feel pugnacious”. I would not want to spray pugnacious flowers on me, though now I wonder what that would be like. lol.
HA! Well, I think some of this tuberose heavy or other white florals can be very aggressive. As can a hefty hit of narcissus Maya. Still, I love them too.

Sadly all I got from this one was soap and stock.
BUM!
I had a girlfriend for a while whose mother often had stocks in the bathroom. It was the perfect poopy cover up.

I’m currently having a lovefest with spring like florals. Cristalle edt as always, Penhaligon’s Ostara, No19 edt, Beige edt etc etc etc. Right now Fleurrisimo sound like it would hit the spot but as I already own the plethora above I’ll be swerving it.
HA! The eternal problem for a fully fledged perfumista. Will one more of a genre EVER get worn?

I really waaaannnnt to love this one, I should probably try it again. Your description certainly makes me want to! It was just a tad tooo soapy on me, which is a crying shame because I love that whole florist shop aspect of it.
If the soapiness is a deal breaker then you probably won’t love it March. Thankfully there are a quintillion other perfumes that will fit.

I really love this scent. A man I worked with loved it, too-he said it smelled like walking into a florist shop, too. It’s crisp and calm and it’s like having the perfect crisp white shirt on. I really love it. Portia try wearing it with Fantasia de Fleurs-it’s a good combination. I have the Spring Flower body oil, and those two scents compliment each other too. Love your SOTD 🙂
OOOOOHHHHH! I love this idea. Thanks Carole.

I’m wondering how this one escaped my attention seeing how it’s right up my spring flowers alley! Thanks Portia, for shining some light on it. I hope your trip has been going well.
Heya DinaC,
It may just be your perfect fit. I think it’s beautiful.
Holiday was amazing and is done. Back home and into work again. I missed it.
There will be a few holiday posts coming.

Tried it once, and pretty but not pugnacious sums it up nicely.
HA! Thanks AnnieA,

I expect I’ve smelled this at some point. The only Creed that turned my head was Green Irish Tweed and I thought this smelled better on men I knew.
Bummer but YAY for your wallet Cinnamon.
