A SOTD (Scent Of The Day) thread is a really good conversation generator. The idea is you’ll chime in through the week with whatever scent you are wearing. You don’t need to be super knowledgable, have high faluting tastes or be a published author to comment. Just tell us what fragrance you’re wearing, smelling, buying etc. and how it makes you feel and/or anything else about it that tickles your fancy.
You can also comment on everyone else SOTD choices too. It’s great to tell someone how much you love their choice, ask for more info about it, the house or perfumer. There’s someone here from around the world 24/7 and Perfume Posse people love to chat. We like to keep it fragrant but there’s always room for life events and adventures too. This is our place to share how we smell, live, love, eat, work, raise kids and pets and get on with the business of living.

You probably won’t have time to write every scent, every spritz. Whenever you feel the mood take you, share your current spritz and a few things about it. Maybe you love/loathe it, want it, are excited by the notes/bottle/SA who sold it: WHATEVER! As always here at Perfume Posse, taking sides never means taking offence and everyone keeps it respectful and light, even though we can sometimes trawl the depths.

Really enjoying Vigour, by Criminal Elements. It’s very similar to ELDO’s Fat Electrician which i adore. Vigour is more Vetiver and Oakmoss and I really like it.

Lightly gourmand, vanilla, amber & tonka with well blended spice sprinkled with a little alcohol. Lovely for what it is, but when I use up my decant I’ll be done. I wouldn’t crave a full bottle.
This morning I wore Niki de Saint Phalle through the heat. About to have a nap, then a bath. More fragrant decisions after that.

Jin and I went for pedis today. It’s 42C again in Parramatta and it seemed EVERYONE for miles around decided to hit the air conditioned mall. It was bedlam. Like Xmas week. So many families.
I wore YSL Velours to try and lean into the heat. It worked. Jin got spritzed with the Bulgari Neroli, quite nice; woodsy gasoline white flowers. VERY niche smelling.

I’m coked to the gills in Arpege – I have contemp black bottle sprayed on my left wrist and a vintage edt on my write (a gorgeous pyramid-ish bottle with a black bakelite stopper) as well as a vinty dusting powder. Interestingly the contemp and the vintage don’t smell all that different – especially on drydown (the vint is a bit creamier but both are easily ID’d as Arpege. xoxoxo
