Hiya Posse Peeps! If you’ve been reading my posts over the years then it will be no surprise how much I love Caron Pour un Homme. No matter how many perfumes I have in the wardrobe it still gets a lot of skin time. Right now my stick deodorant is also one and the same. It is very good and keeps me smelling fresh and delightful all day into tomorrow with no complaints. A few weeks ago popping into City Perfume in Sydney, owned by my mates Thierry and Steven, I got the fever and decided to do a video about my fave. It’s not very informative about the scent but it was a bit of fun. Oh yeah, and I meant to say LAVENDER LOLLIES not vanilla, oops SOZ.

There’s a full review back on the Perfume Posse but my ride is lavender, vanilla, green herbaceousness and moss. A beautiful, unisex fragrance that smells so good in summer or winter and has excellent staying power for a full day of smelling divine. Caron Pour un Homme will set you apart from the crowd in a comfortable, elegant way. Never too much, delightfully understated.

Parfum Sacre is a particular favourite of mine. There’s a 15ml purple shagreen bottle here that gets used so sparingly because I want it to last forever.

I’m not a lavender fan or a particular fan of Caron, but something about this one I love! Maybe it wears more like a herbaceous cologne on me. What a fun video — oh, how I would like a shop like that here!
Interesting March. To be fair though this is almost unrelated to any other Caron that I’ve ever smelled. It’s a happily freakish aberration within the line.

I love lavender in general (I wish I could still buy Kiki, or that I could afford Encens et Lavande), but this one is too caramelized for me. It makes me think of bonbons.
Isn’t Kiki divine Fernando. They did do a rerelease of the Vero line last year. Is Kiki not a part of it?

Nice video! I think lavender and vanilla mixed is a good combo. The vanilla takes that astringent cleaning product edge off of the lavender, softening it right down. Chanel Jersey does something similar iirc. I like Burberry Brit Rhythm Femme as my lavender of choice. It’s a lavender + iris + musk combo. Great for a soothing bedtime spritz. And super affordable.

That video is so sweet. Loved it. Lavender … not hugely my thing but I recall really liking Pour un Homme. I do grow lavender in the garden but that’s totally different I guess.

I love lavender and hate admit I’ve never tried this that I can remember. I have Yatagan and 3eme Homme and Royal Bain and they’re all in rotation. I’ll have to grab some of this.

Portia, I love your video! Your enthusiasm is contagious, but Caron is not a house for me. I really really tried, especially after I heard “Caron was for wives and Guerlain was for mistresses.” 😉 I do have a vintage bottle of Montaigne which I like but very rarely use.
