Hey there Posse! One of the things I know to be true is that none of us need 100ml of anything except our tried and true, ride or die faves. Even some of this will never see an empty 100ml. So when the producers of fine fragrance offer us a 30ml. That comes in less than half price of a 100ml. I get very excited. Now available: 30ml across the Headspace range. To celebrate I bought, at retail including postage, two bottles. Rose and Genievre are now mine in 30ml. Woo Hoo!
Headspace 30ml Bottles
As you can see I opened Headspace Rose first because I’ve drained my samples and wanted to wear its unbelievably spectacular rose of many facets and the gunpowder accord which reads super peppery and maybe a zing of ginger. GAH! Freaking heavenly! I may need 100ml at some point.
Here is my 30ml Rose bottle shown against my 100ml Headspace Cedre. Same same but different.
I don’t know where you sit on the ml spectrum. 30ml makes a lot of sense to me though. What’s more, they send WORLDWIDE!

Sure, in €/ml it’s a bit more expensive but you can have two Headspace 30ml for the price of a single 100ml and then you’ve got choice.
30ml is a seriously good size for travelling, throw it in your carry on. Et Viola! (I know)

They do a really good, classy Discovery Set that won’t bankrupt you.

I like the idea of 30ml bottles but they are best for me for perfumes that I like but would not want more than a 30ml bottle. I learned the hard way that for the perfumes I love I should wait until I can afford a larger size.
Interesting Maya, yeah, I get that loving something leads to extra enjoyable spritz fests. That luxurious knowledge that there’s 100ml of goodly juice available to spray with gay abandon. I totally get that.
It’s like to joy of having a back up bottle.

What is the perfume you have most backup bottles of Maya?
I never thought about it. I surprised myself with the answer – it’s vintage Bal a Versailles. I looked for all the different bottles I could find and afford – larger, smaller, sprays. I particularly like the small/mini round-faced bottles of all different ounce sizes. I like those so much that when I found a Jean Deprez Jardanel in one of those bottles, I bought it too!

I like Jardanel (a rare blind buy) very much – enough that I was keeping an eye out for a regular bottle, but the prices were already high and they were very htf.

HA! I think most honestly it’s a heftily peppered rose with a smoky backdraft. Really good stuff. YAY and BOO that it’s out of stock Alityke. It might have blown your skirt.

Well they’re out of the 30ML Rose so it’s a moot point.
Yeah, I know. $3+/ml used to be a Guerlain extrait Tom but sadly times have changed and money just doesn’t buy what it used to. Bummer about the Rose but YAY for your wallet.

Honey, I’m at the point of buying 10ml if it’s on offer! The “travel size” etc. Let’s be serious, we’re never going to use up our fragrance. And my True Loves are mostly older fragrances that I have multiple bottles / iterations of anyway, so. But 30 ml is great, and I’m glad you are enjoying them (and that they ship worldwide!)
Yep! I’ve been buying a few of those heavily discounted Atelier Cologne 10ml spritz bottles on FragNet. Such a good deal and I love the long, thin, fit anywhere presentation.

I think 30 ml is the perfect size for me as I don’t go through scent quickly. Having said that, I did buy a full size Perfumer H Smoke recently as you can never spray too much of that one! 🙂
And I just don’t understand why time insists on going by so quickly!

How civilized 30 ml bottles are! Just the right amount, with the occasional exception of something I’d want to wear every single day. Good thing I have the big bottle of JM Ginger Biscuit!

It is a cool weather scent, and good for being quite soothing, so definitely more than just a couple of weeks per year…
We don’t really have a very cold or long winter, there’s already a plethora of fragrances here that fit the bill and only a few get worn.
I might get one of their little bottles this year…

I love the idea of 30ml! Like everyone else on here I have way too much perfume to ever get through in this lifetime…::and, tbh, were I given another lifetime I doubt I could get through it)

I would go for the 30 ml, Portia. Love having this format available! As you said, it makes scents more affordable and easier to store and travel with. Christmas stocking stuffer is a great idea, too!

As an aside: Jin brought 5 decants on holiday that all leaked into his bag on the flight over. I love having a manufacturers smaller size because there’s MUCH less chance of this happening.

For me, at this point in my perfume life, 30ml or less is the choice — mostly. That’s based on expense as well as thinking ‘how much will I use this given all the other bottles, decants and samples sitting around?’.
The only thing I know I will buy in a full size this year is NVC Eshal. I’ve found decants here and there but I use this a lot (sample is almost gone) and it would be even more if I had a bottle.
Uh, Xmas. I refuse to think seriously about it till after Thanksgiving.
Inorite? I was Seriously Disheartened when I started seeing Christmas displays going up the day after Labor Day!
That’s what happens here and it makes me sad. I mean it’s a bit pathetic. I still recall back when Xmas stuff didn’t start till the NY Times put up its advent-ish calendar on 1 December.
