Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder Travel Set

Hey hey Posse! Bronze Goddess is one of my favourite beach summer frags. I always think I’ll wear it on a summer vacation to tropical islands or cruising the South Pacific but that big fat bottle is hardly carry-on ready so it invariably stays home while I trot merrily around the globe. Sad face…….

Fragrantica gives these featured accords:
Top: Mandarin, bergamot, lemon, orange
Heart: Tiare flower, jasmine, magnolia, orange blossom bud, lavender
Base: Amber, coconut, sandalwood, vanilla, vetiver, myrrh

CUE GREAT REJOICING!! I just grabbed a Bronze Goddess Travel Set. It comes with a nifty bronze and pink travel case and three 18ml refills. I KNOW RIGHT!! Looks great, really affordable and I can FINALLY take my dream tropical holiday scent away with me.

How does it smell? Not a lot different to any other years version but maybe a little more lavender and a slightly more interesting base? So loads of yummy coconut and a tropical flower bouquet that opens with a burst of citrus but quickly gives way to a delectable tropical holiday dream.

Surely 18ml is enough for a fortnights cruising jaunt around the islands? Maybe Hawaii or a Whitsunday charter yacht for the week? Yeah, Whitsunday charter yachts are a thing. You get the boat, a captain and boy, food etc and you sail around the northeast Australian archipelago of islands and swim, snorkel or SCUBA at the beginning of the Great Barrier Reef. I reckon you have about a decade before it has all been killed by the warming seas and our governments lack of industrial control.

Ha, I can only wear it to work for now (I wore Coralina on my beach trip), but maybe next year…the advertisements for this say “not me.” But when I finally got a discounted rollerball of 2015 eau fraiche, I liked it and it likes me. Thanks for the review and source info,

Bronze Goddess seems to be very popular. I visited a couple of stores to try it and their testers were empty!

  • Tatiana says:

I did a blind purchase of Bronze Goddess a few years back. Tried it once, realized it’s not my type of scent and it’s sat in the back of my perfume closet since. Really need to find it a new home where it will get more love.

    • Portia says:

      Hey Tatiana,
Find it and give it a spritz before you do. It;’s summer where you are right? Maybe it will be heavenly?

FYI, your link is one letter off (pewrfume).

So, I need to get rich so I can take that Australian yachting cruise!

    • Portia says:

      Hey Melissa,
Thank You. It’s been like that for ever. Nice catch.

Yes, the yachting holiday is beautiful, not ridiculously expensive either.
