Glasshouse Montego Bay Rhythm Hand Cream

Hey Posse, Glasshouse seems to be a multinational now. It started here in Australia and my mate Ainslie Walker was a creator/designer/perfumer there for many years. She is a serious genius and I bet the Glasshouse crew are kicking themselves for letting her get away. Anyway, for my birthday this year another dear friend Evie Eve bought me a Glasshouse Montego Bay Rhythm 75ml Hand Cream. I was intrigued to see how it was and opened it almost immediately.

Let’s chat…

Glasshouse Montego Bay Rhythm Hand Cream

Glasshouse Montego Bay Rhythm Hand Cream

Top: Lime and Lemon
Heart: Vanilla and Amber
Base: Coconut and Mandarin Oranges

Montego Bay Rhythm goes on smooth and is fluffy like whipped cream. Within a minute it has soaked into my skin, leaving me dry and smooth. It feels like I have a barrier against the world. So gorgeous and easy. I also love the generous 75ml tube in acid green. So cool.

Here’s the Glasshouse spiel: Enriched with White Turmeric and Tamanu Oil to protect, nourish and deeply hydrate, this hand cream leaves hands silky but never greasy. Sweet ‘n’ sour, you’ll get mouth-watering Lime, Coconut and Vanilla.

So how does Montego Bay Rhythm smell? The open is a heavily coconut citrus and the vanilla rich amber playing a hefty baseline. It’s both fresh and warming. The scent is pure seductive island love affair dreaming. This is what my imagination of Jennifer Lopez on holiday would smell like. Ripe, sweet and luxurious.

Montego Bay Rhythm

You won’t need fragrance. Montego Bay Rhythm has longevity and projection to spare. It lasts longer on my scent eating body than most EdPs and smells fantastic for hours.

If you’re looking for something scented to be giving to your friends in the 2026 present season then this is a good choice. It is even cost effective enough that it could be a stellar Kris Kringle. I’m thunking to grab a few to add to peoples gifts.

Are you a hand cream wearer or gifted?

Glasshouse started as candles, so here’s an old Candle Post

  • Musette says:

Hand cream is my superpower! I have more cream than perfume!!!

    This sounds DIVINE !!!

    • Portia says:

HOW did I not know this Musette.
If you love hand cream then I’d love to read your thoughts on Glasshouse Montego Bay Rhythm.
Let me see if I can pick one up and send it over.

I tend to rub on my hands the excess of what goes on my face, ie: hyaluronic serum, then moisturiser, then spf. It’s so damp here I don’t need much else.

I love the l’Occitan Shea butter hand cream — and it’s great for gifts.

    • Portia says:

I love the feeling of Shea Butter but the smell is very overpowering for me. I think I’m hypernosmic to it Cinnamon. If you open a tube or bottle of it near me I can tell immediately and my tummy does strange, unhappy flip flops.

  • Maggiecat says:

I am a hand cream addict…er, I mean, collector. And I love the ones that smell good and soak in quickly. My poor arthritis-y hands need all the help they can get!

  • Tom says:

I don’t usually wear hand cream (although I’ve been needing it lately with all of the hand sanitizer I’ve been using)

This reads wonderful; I’d like the scent but I think I’d like the scent in one bottle and the cream unscented in a tube.

    • Portia says:

AH! Yeah, that does make sense Tom. You’re making the choice to be perfumed by Montego Bay Rhythm if you wear it. I’m loving it for bedtime at the moment. It’s EXACTLY the right amount of scent and I wake up with lovely feeling arms.

  • March says:

As I’ve mentioned it’s incredibly dry here, so my cream/lotion arsenal matches the sunscreen arsenal :D. They’re all pretty heavy duty. I would LOVE to smell like JLo on holiday, I bet this is available in the US!

    • Portia says:

Apparently some of their other scents have made it to the USA shores but sadly not Montego Bay Rhythm. Maybe call your local stockiest and ask why March.

I go through tubes & tubes & tubes of the richest hand creams I can buy. After decades of nursing, including few years on Infectious Diseases, I am a very frequent hand washer. Like OCD level without the fretting about germs. This sounds delicious.

    • Portia says:

      Hey Alityke,
Ever since C19 we have been really careful about hand cleanliness. There’s a soap at every sink and we go through them super quickly. Jin also has an antibacterial pump but I worry what that does to our environment.
Yeah, we might look a little OCD to an outsider too.
I’ve just reapplied some Montego Bay Rhythm and I smell so good, ready for bed.

      • alityke says:

Glasshouse only sell direct in Aus, NZ & the US on their website. There is one stockist of the candles in the UK though.
I only got C19 once when DH brought it home from his Friday night drinking buddies in May 23. Managed to go through the worst years without getting it & I’m convinced it was the hand washing

        • Portia says:

I didn’t know that. For some reason I had them as full multinational.
Yeah, C19 once for me and twice for Jin. He was working the whole way through and most of the crew had it multiple times. He was really lucky. The minute they said soap was the best defense for viral we (meaning I) bought tonnes.

  • Dina C. says:

That sounds like a great smelling hand cream. I really like ones that dry down and don’t leave my hands sticky or greasy. Thanks for the gift suggestion, Portia.

  • Maya says:

The notes of Montego Bay Rhythm sound good so I went to check it out. lawgoddess is right. It’s not available. I did bookmark the site so I can go back when I have more time. I did see Marseille Memoir for hand cream and candles and a few other things. What a great list of notes! It’s definitely luring me in.

    • Portia says:

Are you a hand cream wearer Maya? I’m not really but have been applying to my hand and arms. It’s really gorgeous.
Hope you get it there soon.
      Portia xx

      • Maya says:

Yes. I use a lot of hand cream. I also use it on feet and any dry skin areas. Marseille Memoir is calling to me. Montego Bay Rhythm is second in line. I would love it if these creams could keep me scented for hours…the cream version of spritz and go perfumes.

  • lawgoddess says:

Unfortunately. It looks like this is not available on the U.S. website. Some of the other fragrances look good, though.
