OH NO! I’m in the Bubble Bath

Hey there Posse. Normally my posts are written in advance and I have a couple spare. Life has been so hectic that this is currently not the case. I’ve been nearly sub, erged in a bubble bath for 90 minutes and as I was drying myself thought I’d go answer some comments from today’s post. Oh No! No post. I’m sincerely sorry. So here is what I wore fragrantly today.

OH NO! I’m in the Bubble Bath

Today I wore four fragrances.

Morning: DIOR Gris Dior. I knew it was only going to get a couple of hours before my lunch spritz so I went with a light and pleasant wash. One spritz on wrist and put them together. Exactly enough for my morning stuff.

OH NO! I'm in the Bubble Bath

Lunch: Who Is Elijah Desert Nights. Went to Thai with a couple of my mates Craig and Sam. Wanted something punchy. One spritz back of head. Perfect amount, I could smell it but it wan’t overwhelming.

OH NO! I'm in the Bubble Bath

After lunch Jin and I wandered nine holes of golf. He shot two PAR holes. I’m suitably proud.

Dinner: DIOR Dior Dior. An oldie, and a goodie. My EdT is propellant charged so one spray to my chest was PLENTY! What a sensational White Floral Chypre. So grand. We went to the Darling Harbour Sofitel restaurant with our mates Kath and TinaG. It was celebratory and very ra sha sha.

OH NO! I'm in the Bubble Bath

Home. Had a huge, boiling Bubble Bath.

Bed: Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds and Emeralds. Something showbiz to send me off to sleep. Very razzmatazz.

OH NO! I'm in the Bubble Bath

So there was my day in fragrance. What were you wearing? Do you love or loathe any of my choices?

Oh I miss bubble baths. I am too darned tall for these newfangled tubs.

    • Portia says:

      Heya Tom,
There were a few things I really put my foot down about when we redid this apartment. The bath was one. It needed to be big and deep enough that I can be mainly submerged. Achievement unlocked. It’s made of some heavy plastic which insulates well too. Over an hour in it before the water is cool. I’m still madly in love with it ten years on.

    Portia,
I love the sound of your whole day: baths, going out to eat with friends and FOUR great scents! I’m not personally acquainted with those four, but can a person really go wrong with that line up??? Happy Pride Month to you and Jin!

I never tried Dior Dior. Is it delicious delicious?

Been doing sampling on skin for a blog post I’m writing. It’ll be a long post & NSFW! One of the smells gave me a mental Divine/John Waters moment. Should be up tomorrow UK time

What a FABULOUS day, darling! I love La Liz’s stuff – it’s so… Her. And so me, too!

I’m in that Tesori body wash/ bidy cream with several lashings of vintage No5 edt – it’s a great combo, the Tesori keeps the No5 from taking over the entire town and scaring the horses

    • Portia says:

HA! I’m all for a No 5 takeover Musette. Lucky town if it ever happens.
Oh yes. Elizabeth Taylor! She was the best.

I think I need to start wearing more than one perfume per day — or I need to do a sleep fragrance. Think I’ve lacked imagination on this front.

    • Portia says:

      Hey there Cinnamon,
It depends on how fast your body eats perfume. Mine is voracious.
Also, make sure you spritz different bits of yourself to avoid mixing.

It may not have been planned, but this turned out to be a fun post and it sounds like your day went well. Mine’s just starting.
When I was buying the the mini vintage Diors to try them, I forgot about Dior Dior. Will have to remedy that especially since I like all the ones I do have to one degree or another. Also several people have mentioned that they really like Hypnotic Poison, so I decided to check it out. I’m a fan. Have even been checking out deals on bottles of the edt. I could see wearing it a lot.

    • Portia says:

Ah, the DIOR vintage rabbit hole! So exciting Maya. They had some amazing gems. Did you know many of them were created and supplied by the original Le Galion crew?
      Good luck with the hunt.

What a lovely day! My sniffer is sort of off/on right now due to allergies I think. Mostly what I’ve been smelling is my jasmine which is blooming! It’s not cold hardy at this elevation and I built it a fort for overwintering. I am THRILLED. I just used up the last of a decant of L’Artisan Soleil de Provence, and I’m going to rustle up something else after lunch from the big bowl of samples.
